I don't know, I've been lucky so far. People here can help though, some of them swear by certain chems. You can probably at least stop it, if not necessarily reverse it. Good luck
this guy is fairly knowledgable
legit options out there:
microneedling
ketoconazole shampoo
minoxidil
finasteride (probably the best chance with this one)
scalp massages
use 2 or more methods for better chance
For me ketoconazole shampoo stopped shedding, but I might hop on finasteride, if it starts getting worse again. It's not like I use my dick anyway at the moment
>finasteride (probably the best chance with this one)
Idk i don't want to frick with my hormones, that's really the last option for me. Gonna start microneedling.
well, combine with ketoconazole. Just don't use it on the same day
it's more urgent in your case imo, because crown balding is no joke. Widow peaks progress slower. So if you don't observe halt of balding in the next 6 months with microneeling and the shampoo, you should think about fina or just come to terms with balding completely
How the frick am I even supposed to massage my scalp for 30 minutes each day? I've been doing this for about 2 weeks now and my fingers and forearms already feel inflamed and achy from doing this shit
Did the vid say 30 minutes? I think 5 minutes a day is enough.
also, about finasteride, just getting to know that it can cause sexual side effects increases the risk of getting them 500%. So a lot of it is psychosomatic. Nontheless, yes, it's the last resort for me too. My balding didn't go as bad for me to seriously consider it yet

minox works, there are many chemicals that work. but I personally am regaining with massage+microneedling. a lot of people don't believe me but its true. and many others are also gaining. but its anecdotal ofcourse.
2-4% of fin users report side effects, not especially libido issues. Side effects can include anything from libido issues to depression. Most of it is probably nocebo anyway.
You need to take """"troony pills"""" after getting a transplant or it just ends up being a total waste

No you don't. I had my transplant almost 2 years ago for a receded hairline. I waited until my hairloss had stabilized before I got it. There has been zero recession since then. If, in 3-5 years, I notice some more recession behind the transplanted hair, I will simply get another transplant.

there's' limited number of hair follicles you can transplant without making your donor area silly. This is why you shouldn't go much more than 1000 at the time

True, I mentioned in my first post that I got 800 grafts on my first transplant.
Its a temporary fix
1) the rest of your hair will continue falling out. Then you end up with a weird situation where you have a relatively thick hairline of transplanted hairs, but everything behind it is gone. You can take drugs to slow down further loss of non-transplanted hair, but that just buys you time.
2) transplanted hairs end up thinning and falling out too. It just takes longer since they've been introduced to that environment more recently
Both these things combined mean that if you go the transplant route, you'll end up needing to keep going back for additional surgeries over and over again
Why do you fellas always talk as if point 1 is a given? My dad has had the same receded hairline for 30 years, and it's only progressing more now when he's in his 60s. He could have gotten a transplant at the corners and been fine without any meds. I see a ton of men in their 40s and 50s with pretty receded hairlines, and they have probably had them a while. In fact, it seems having recession but not being totally bald is far more common in middle aged men.
Yeah but the guy I replied to was saying it to another chap who was saying he didn't need the fin. I think it just varies case to case. I'd 100% consider a transplant myself if my hairline gets too bad, bit I'm not taking pills. I'd rather just get a more conservative transplant done that thickens the existing harline rather than bringing me back to a Norwood 1or 2
Bruh bruh!!! That was literally me a year ago… go to the doctor ASAP, ask for topical fin and min and get a roller. He’ll tell you you still have time. Don’t listen to IST… listen to your doc
I've been on finasteride for a while now and my dick still works fine. Just take your vitamins and especially zinc (weak aromatase inhibitor).
Nothing beats oral minox when it comes to regrowth though.
because minoxidil is like planting flowers on a desert. And finasteride is like rain
so is microneedling to a degree. That's why some people can get away with microneedling and minoxidil (not on the same day ofc), without finasteride
But time is of an essence, so you have to judge correctly when to stop one thing and try another. Which few of the vids I posted itt explained very well
To my understanding the DHT still binds to your hair which will eventually starve it. Oral minox keeps a blood channel open to it but the moment you stop the treatment the hair will start miniaturizing again.
I hope to regrow my hair with minox and microneedling then slowly lower my minox dosage and hope fin is enough to keep that hair alive.
well i wouldnt mind popping a min every day forever

The safety profile of low dosages of minoxidil hasn't been as well research/tested as that of finasteride. Even the low maintenance dose of 1.25mg may not be perfectly safe.
That said, oral minoxidil is dirt cheap if you consume the liquid topical solution so long term it's probably viable.

i would rather risk heart sides than anything that affects hormones

Imo being obese or even overweight fricks up your hormones way more than taking finasteride as a normal weight dude.
How much better is oral min compared to topical? I'm already quite hairy and still i see a bunch of white baby hairs around my body, i don't want to be a gorilla if i take oral min.
Finasteride isn't a troonypill. Trannies may only take it insofar as they want to stop going bald, since obviously having a receding hairline isn't going to help them "pull off" looking like a woman
This would be akin to saying that percocets are a troony drug because troons might be prescribed them after having their wieners chopped off, to ease the pain
For microneedling, how do you know when you've done enough? I use an adjustable stamp at 1.5mm and part my hair over and over, doing vertical strips up my scalp. But I'm never really sure whether I'm doing enough, or overdoing it, even.
Should i just shave it all. I loved my hair. I still love it. But it seems like a lost cause. Maybe in a few years i have enough money for a transplant, but i am an insomniac and every hour of sleep is important for my mental health. I read that you can only sleep sitting for like 2 weeks and i would literally kill myself because i know i can't sleep while sitting. I have an autistically routine to get me to sleep. It's truly over.
It's over.

Looks like you're experiencing the earliest stages of male pattern baldness, yes.
Will minoxidil help?
I don't know, I've been lucky so far. People here can help though, some of them swear by certain chems. You can probably at least stop it, if not necessarily reverse it. Good luck

yes its starting, what is your age?

post body chud

Balding is a choice nowadays
yes and its gona be only worst
you are.
throw away your shampoo and conditioner
buy new shampoo and conditioner without DMDM hydantoin
balding is caused by your shit shampoo. DMDM hydantoin is formaldehyde
shave your eyebrows, so people will not notice your hairline
your hair is thinning, definitely
you could probably stop it with finasteride, but like 3% of people report loss of dick function on it
2-4% of fin users report side effects, not especially libido issues. Side effects can include anything from libido issues to depression. Most of it is probably nocebo anyway.
>Am i balding on my crown?
Yes
>Is it over?
Yes
>help. Discuss Balding prevention
kys before you lose it all.
Finasteride works.
Take the troon snacks.
How come none of you guys ever talk about the surgery that supposedly fixes it? Or is that what microneedling is?
>surgery
huh? A transplant you mean?
Yeah whatever
Why don't all of you guys just do this?
Because your non-implanted hair will keep dying and you keep balding around the transplant.
You can't tell them to tear it all down and build it back up?
Just get a transplant every 5 years. Much better than taking troony pills. Unless your hairloss is extremely aggressive
You need to take """"troony pills"""" after getting a transplant or it just ends up being a total waste

OP's crown is balding. that's a different animal to widow peaks

Thinning on top definitely. Not over by a long shot though. How old are you?
Prevention:
>finasteride/dutasteride
>ketoconazole shampoo
>plenty of vitamins (especially B+D)
>plenty of zinc/copper
>plenty of protein
Regrowth:
>topical/oral minoxidil
>microneedling at 1.5mm with a dermapen
>various other stuff you need to research yourself
>oral minoxidil
i'm bullish on oral min, i think it may be the cure for those of us who don't want to take troony pills
I've been on finasteride for a while now and my dick still works fine. Just take your vitamins and especially zinc (weak aromatase inhibitor).

not trying to demoralize, but you can only notice thinning after you already lost 30% of your hair in the spot

This was me last week before shaving. I shaved it because i wanted to see how i look and it looks like shit.
Even the coping combover looks better than that.
Paint it red and use some fixating product.
Then paint your entire body and face blue and become Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy
you're good, you should start to hairmaxx soon tho
