Ban commercial gym Soundsystems

I’m fricking sick of giving myself hearing damage because I need to drown out the “TOP 100 WORKOUT MOTIVATION HOUSE-POP REMIX” playlist that every gym plays . Everyone and their Nan has headphones now to have their own music so there is no excuse for this shit any more.

I've never actually listened to Ice Spice before. I just know she's a rapper. I'm gonna go check out her top 5 songs real quick and report back

5/10. Heard tons of women like her on SoundCloud before it fell off. Don't understand the appeal

And what about the people who forgot their headphones?

If you have headphones why are you complaining?
If you don't like music why are you in a public space?
If you don't like the genre why are you expecting the gym to cater to you?

Okay little buddy. When you go to the gym, they play music. But sometimes the music is not very good and it's also so loud that it's hard to hear anything else. So you put on your special headphones that are supposed to block out all the noise, but the music is still so loud that you can hear it through the headphones. So you have to turn up the volume on your headphones as loud as possible to try to make the bad music go away which makes me sad 🙁

      Understand?

Boo hood homie. You get to work out in an air conditioned room with all the equipment you need and the only downside is that they play music you don't like, but you have headphones anyway. Literal first world problems.

Tinnitus is no joke moron. everyone owns headphones and no one likes the gym music anyway. Sure maybe 20 years ago when not everyone had an iPod/mp3 player it was fine to have a gym Soundsystem but it’s just antiquated now.

It's a sign of the sickness of our age. David foster wallace talked about this, you can't go to any public place without some music. I see old gym videos where the only sounds are metal clanging and grunts, that's all you need.

Yes. People enjoy music in public spaces. If you want dead silence go to the woods or stay home

I miss my old gym, the BODY AND FIGHT CLUB.
The machines were all shit and they would blast real meathead shit like DMX and rocky soundtracks and there were tons of roiders and muscle mountains around. was 10/10.
sadly the clerk was a moronic meathead too and he let people in who obviously werent paying and they had to shut down.

now I'm in some gay normie gym and I hate it and I never actually see anybody who is big.

Reminder that noise cancelation isn't noise blocking, and using noise cancelation as a substitute for hearing protection can damage your hearing instead.

if they weren't blasting goywaves (by that I mean m*sic in general, not just a specific genre) the drones would have to sit alone with their thoughts for more than a few seconds, would break down and switch gyms

    >Gym has shitty playlist, kept Despacito on rotation for like 2 years,
    >Find out what company they outsource their playlists / sound systems to.
    >Dig around the company website, find an exposed form for client gym staff to raise ticket for sound issues.
    >Spend my set rest creating priority 1 IT tickets each time Despacito is played.
    >Despacito gets taken of the playlist.

    Big win.

I just walk straight into the employees only room and turn that shit off. Fricking hate this Black person music so God damn much. I probably wouldn't bother if it was a reasonable volume but it's always maxed out.
