Why the FRICK aren't you eating beef gelatin powder?

Why the FRICK aren't you eating beef gelatin powder?
You need to get hydrolyzed collagen. Gelatin protein isn't absorbed very well
Gelatin is literally hidrolized collagen...
It's literally not
Why do different sources say different things?
gelatin can't have a singular diagram because the degree of collagen breakdown can vary quite a lot.
the weird advertising around patented collagen peptide stuff is to indicate potentially faster absorption. but humans have tons of collagen specific protease so it doesn't need to be super broken down before consumption and you're not going to get a huge benefit from a special supplement compared to a normal food source.
You're misreading it, you dumbass. It says you can refer to gelatin as hydrolyzed collagen etc *after* it has undergone hydrolysis. When you buy it labelled as gelatine it hasn't undergone hydrolysis.
You're a dumbass, read the sentence below. "Gelatin is an irreversibly hydrolyzed form of collagen".
I'm referring to the part you highlighted, moron. As for that part, read the rest of the sentence after it then look at the diagram I posted earlier and see if you can work out it.
Who gives a shit if you talked about the highlighted part if the part afterwards contradicts it?
It doesn't contradict it. I just explained it to you. Esl?
I just eat beef every day.
I swore I'd never touch a bovine again after being raped by a bull.
I googled it and they say it doesn't get absorbed well because it's an incomplete protein source (I don't know what that means btw)
That info is wrong. You digest it just fine it's just lacking tryptophan which is an "essential" amino acid because your body doesn't make it but it's not actually of dire importance for an adult male. Furthermore, you get tryptophan in everything else you eat. That's all the free advice I'm giving.
Nta but there's another reason gelatin doesn't digest well but I can't remember what it is. Hydrolyzed collagen solves the issue though.
First links in google say it has the same high bio variability as collagen supplements. It's hidrolized, already broken into amino acids and nothing stops our body from abroslrbing it.
Wrong. See:
It's incomplete because it doesn't have all the amino acids.
This is why we take a collagen supplement that has multiple sources to provide everything we need.
Gelatine mixes only in hot water and thickens what you put it in.
Collagen mixes in hot or cold water and doesn't thicken your shit.
The bovine gelatin I've seen is not some super fricking cheap alternative so I don't get why someone prefers to use a single-source, heat-DEGRADED form of collagen.
for what purpose would i eat it?
It's good for your skin and hair, plus it tastes gross and makes your protein shake extra thick, so there's that added benefit.
I usually dump mine in a cup of water and try to chug it before it congeals.
>35 kcal to 9g
>but 1g of protein has 4kcal
How? last I checked, math didn't work like that
>pretty cheap
it's as expensive as whey, so what's the difference?
im looking at this, most of the benifits of collagen but cheaper.
i hear some have lots of toxins like lead mercury and arsenic. some are expencive.
whats a cheap brand that doesnt have lead
>>tons of amino acids
It's actually only three
>Beef Gelatin Powder
yeah that totally doesn't sound like sussy and like something that might have cjd or equivalent in it.
Gelatin is a shitty source for collagen because only hydrolized collagen with a molecular weight below 5000 dalton has ever been proven to work in clinical trials.
