How do you make this shit palatable? I'd like to eat it for it's supposed health benefits. I read soaking it in milk makes it easier to eat, so I did that then I pan fried it with some onions and for the life of me I could not get it down. It was just so TOUGH. Would a slow cooker make it more tender?

homie this ain't IST.
That's a good point. I'll ask them.
Maybe I got some bad liver or something because it wasn't the taste so much, it was just tough and rubbery. Far more than I was expecting. And I'll eat about anything.
Throw it in the garbage and save myself from hairloss, disease, and hypervitaminosis.
>hair loss and disease
>from eating too many vitamins
You what?
what doesn't cause hairloss?
>protein
>too much testosterone
>too little testosterone
>liver
>onions
>eating low carb
>not eating low carb
>creatine
>amino acids
>all vitamins
>all minerals
>sunlight
>lack of sunlight
all cause hairloss
you only need to eat a little bit a day.
cook half a lb and eat small amounts throughout the week.
ive frozen it myself in 40 gram portions, it was definitely worse after being frozen and unfrozen though, still you dont eat it for the taste
dont be a pussy and just push it down?
have you never force fed urself my brother in Christ?
food is fuel, water helps
i like it in pies, chicken liver also tastes better, beef is more nutritious ofc
make urself a creamy peppery milk/cheess (cottage cheese especially) based sauce with it and its good enough to easily eat daily
>supposed health benefits
Why do you write this like you don't believe in the existence of micronutrients lol. Don't you know the liver is literally the vitamin storage organ of the body?
>it was so TOUGH
Just cook it less. It should be medium (or less). Also, like the other anon said, if you don't actively enjoy liver + onions and just want to eat it for health reasons, you only need like 1 oz a day or even less.
Make pancakes.

Recipe works fine with any liver.
marinade it in greek yogurt with some lemon juice and spices
then roast it
gents, is vitamin A toxicity a real issue with beef liver? I would like to eat beef liver 3-5x a week
>a real issue
No. Way more people have died drinking water than eating liver.
>a potential issue if you have a mental disorder
Yes, because you can literally poison yourself with anything. I think there are 2 cases of vitamin A poisoning from liver in all of human history. One was an insane person and the other was starving in the Arctic and ate dog liver and nothing else (also he probably just died of starvation and frostbite).
If you somehow push yourself so hard that you start getting "vitamin toxicity," you can just stop eating the food and the symptoms will go away. You obviously aren't going to die suddenly from eating "too many vitamins" lmao. Pretty common sense stuff.
Eat it raw. I was skeptical but it's best raw. By far.
Imagine your raw-liver-eating ancestors bawl their eyes in shame at their failed milk-soaking wuss of a descendant. Embarrassing
just put some beans or whatever on top if you need
it needs to be pinky inside its an art baking liver
Liver and onions
