How can you have high glucose on a no carbs diet?

i dont know the biology but apparently if you dont eat glucose, your body creates it because it needs sugars

But then what is the point of carnivore if your glucose lvl is going to be higher than on any diet that allows carbs? I thought your body can produce just enough glucose to survive and that it was the whole selling point of carnivore

Your body is producing the exact amount of glucose it needs at a steady rate. It's different for every person, but it's by no means a sign of danger if it's true you're eating ketogenic.

elevated cortisol most likely, but i'd rather be in this state than the typical ketard hypoglycemia

Insulin production has halted due to deep ketosis. Prime your insulin with a sweet and wait two days before taking the test and you'll get normal insulin response. The body doesn't prepare insulin in advance for meals when you aren't using it for meals for an extended period of time. It quickly re-adapts given the reintroduction of carbohydrate of sufficient amounts.

hes not in ketosis, way too much protein, which just gets turned into glucose

How can you have high glucose on a no carbs diet?

        see above, it's called gluconeogenesis

LDL is used by the body to transmit vital nutrients to tissues, especially while in ketosis. High LDL on a ketogenic diet is a nothingburger.

Doesn't matter if your LDL is high as long as your triglycerides are high too.
    It's the ratio that matters.

If you're not fat, you're perfectly fine.

wow dude, imagine that. Imagine everyone here and doctors pretty much everywhere being right when they say that eating excessive saturated fat and full fat animal products is bad for you. Imagine it being too good to be true when anons come on here and swear up and down that they're on a miracle diet where they only eat butter and lard and steak and that it has cured them of 5 different diseases and they feel 10 years younger and you're a soiboi if you eat anything else. imagine attention hungry influencers and mini-celebrities turning out to be liars after building huge brands and followings by shilling the carnivore or organ-meat diet

The funny thing about dietetics is that for all the noise and spectacle of fad diets over the past few decades--- the ebbs and flows of "forget conventional wisdom about X / they've always said Y is bad but now you should eat it for every meal instead of Z"--- its mainstream has largely been correct and consistent about most things for the past 70 years. Sugar is bad for you, saturated fat is bad for you in excess, eat animal products in moderation, eat lots of vegetables, eat a largely plant-based diet of whole unprocessed foods along with lean meat and fish
