How to defeat gingervitus?
You mist have sex with all the redheads of the world(some of them are underage and will make it difficult to proceed after being arrested)
brush teeth 2x a day
Try mouthwassh
Floss
Stop grinding your teeth
>Brush 2x a day, preferrsbly with soft tooth brush. Get electric if you have bad form. Use flouride toothpaste for sensitive teeth, and dont rinse mouth after finishing.
>Mouthwash. I used therabreath. I d
>Floss daily. Move up and down wrapped against teeth, dont use a sawing motion.
>Cut back on sugar, gum bacteria loves that shit.
Optional:
>Waterpiks to clear after flossing.
>Use flouride toothpaste
Fluoride is outdated. Informed people used nano-hydroxyapatite.
Ive been using that stuff dentist offices provide.
Informed and rich people. Shit is pricy as frick. At least last I checked years ago, when apaguard was the only real option
Dude, it cost me 16 bucks just to get my fancy fluoride paste. You telling me they're walling off even BETTER shit at a higher price!?
bunch of regurgitated nonsense in your replies, they seriously don't even know what gingivitis is probably. there is prescribed gingivitis mouthwash to get rid of it but a 1 to 1 ratio of hydrogen peroxide and water swished in the mouth without swallowing will do it.
or 1 part hydrogen peroxide to two parts water. I used a 1 to 1 though and I'm still alive.
>I'm still alive.
proof?
>electric toothbrush
>floss
>tongue scraper
>mouthwash
Two times - in the morning after breakfast, in the evening after dinner (~20mins after eating). If you eat/snack during the day - rinse mouth with water and chew some sugar free gum (~5-10 mins while the flavour lasts).
For your teeth the biggest enemies are carbs and frequency of eating. Try to snack less and eat less refined sugar.
The most optimal tooth heath routine is low carb/keto OMAD unironically.
>t. dentalgay
Thanks dental anon. Teeth are probably screwed already, but at least i dont have gum disease based on recent pocket sizes. Seeing a gum expert though, i think my general denist isnt very skilled in that regard.
Carb thing took me back initially, but then i remembered that ol science explaination of it breaking down into glucose with water. Now i have to limit bread as well
are waterpiks pointless? i've been thinking about buying one to supplement flossing but not sure if it's a worthless investment
Good if you have braces or deep gum pockets, otherwise flossing is enough
they are faster and easier than regular flossing, but doesn't seem to clean as well
what has worked for me is regular floss every 5 days and use waterpik the other days
my dentist complimented on my flossing after i had switched from normal to water. maybe im just shit at normal flossing
Probably, no offense. Its really hard to match the technique you're supposed to do. Water flossing serves as sort of a crutch to that, sorta like electric brushes over brushing.
does tight gaps between the teeth play a role? the floss would just splinter into a thousand tiny fibers.
For me, yeah, it mean having to force the floss down instead of lightly shimmying it in. Puts unnecessary trauma on it, along with my using a sawing motion for years.
>what has worked for me is regular floss every 5 days and use waterpik the other days
yeah this seems the least pain in the ass
Not as vital as brushing and flossing are, so you can skip. But holy shit, does it feel GOOD if you fill it with slightly warm water and use a soft pulse.
just get a cheap one under 20$ and try it without breaking the bank.
Can also find pretty decent ones on Amazon if you have Prime. I got a $100 one for only 30 bucks as part of a late night sale. Seems pretty common.
is it possible for tooth formation to naturally straighten or do i need to do invisalign?
Invisalign, unfortunetly. Yeah, teeth can shift on their own gradually, but when they do, most times its wonky overlap and shit unless you got luck with genetics. Sorry.
Of course. I use a nano-hydroxyapatite and salt toothpaste, xylitol, RECALDENT gum, and waterflosser toothbrush.
Reminder that
>flossing is more important than brushing
>waterflossing is less effective than regular flossing
>electric toothbrush is much more effective than a normal one
>mouthwash is a scam
Ten bucks is affordable. Big deal.
I haven't been to the dentist in years and i don't have any complaints with my teeth. I drink water almost exclusively and constantly drink it, rinse my mouth after eating shit. Whenever i eat a lot of sweet things i instantly go brush my teeth.
>Just went to the supermarket
>Checkin' out milfs
>Bullshittin with zoomer baggers and old lady cashiers
>Forgot the toothpaste, already squeezed the tube like I had deathgrip syndrome
F-F-F-FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuu
I've been using an electric toothbrush for years now. My teeth are white and straight, but I think I've been brushing too hard, and now my gums are receded pretty badly. Gums don't even grow back, so I'm basically stuck like this forever.
Feels bad, man.
I feel you. Dentists always praise my teeth and I've only had 2 cavities in my life, but my teeth are super long and sensitive to cold. Frick me.
Also, they can grow back! Just have to shill out enough to buy a new car.
reminder to avoid mouthwash as it destroys the good bacteria in your mouth as well as the bad

what about herbal mouthwash?
don't have to use alcohol-based ones
I just use olive oil. For whatever reason it really helps clear out the sinus thick snot build up in winter when the heater is on if you gargle with it.
Huh, thats a new one.
Thera breath is also a good option. Its the stuff they'll give you in dentist offices, (at least the chain ones) to was your mouth out. No alcohol, and barely any taste.
>Been taking care of your teeth and gums, IST?
Yes, I brush/floss/go to the dentist
Also have straight teeth from orthodontics and very white teeth from whitening
I need to get a gun graft. Depression fricked me up in life and I didn’t maintain my health. I also need to get braces and surgery would be ideal. The thought of the consultations and all that shit is exhausting filtering people just trying to rip me off.
I understand your pain, going through this right now. Parents divorced and I let my health waste away. Even in a best case scenario my savings will get fricked.
About to get Invisalign as an adult boys. Going to take a frickin year and a half. Pray for me.
Good luck, I want to get it as well, but I'm moving out of state in a year or so, and ortho work doesn't carry between dentists. Getting it now would mean paying twice as much for longer work.
I hear ya. My dad (who had 85 per cent coverage for me when I was a youth) cheaped out and never got me braces and I need them. Now I have to foot the bill ay $8k because my otherwise good benefits only covers dental for my dependents. I haven't started yet, but do it while you can afford it, considering it takes so fricking long.
what to do about smile if ur unhappy about it in pictures? i dont want to get braces again at 24 but i want to bc i hate how i look in photos.. i want to get lingual braces the kind that sit behind the teeth and dental bonding to make them appear somewhat bigger and get ride of a miniscule tiny gap and so my teeth show in pictures wat do
Be a real man and don't smile with your mouth open. Even better if you don't smile at all.
Could try Invisalign. Unless its a close up of your teeth, shouldn't be too bad. Though I get around it with my overbite. Bottom are crooked, but top are less obvious.
i already had them and my parents sent me to the worst ortho fricking ever
I had braces, didn't wear a retainer. Wase of parents money. But your ortho seriously fricked up your invisa that bad?
we did it for months and there were changes but he kept extending out when we would get off them and 1.5 years in and no big change is a waste of money plus this fricker had a 3 star review and my parents didnt trust a 13 year old saying the reviews are shit
Ech, I'm sorry. Seeing my general dentist about it come the 27th. He's listed as gold certified on the Invisalign network, but he's not primarily an ortho. Just shopping around a bit til I settle on one.
i frickin flossed and my gums recessed frick off with your dentist shit nowni cant drink ice cold water like i used to
frick off with your piece of shitty waxed mint string ill never touch it again its not even gums bleeding its more like tooth exposing that frickin hurts i was more than alright to bear the pain but not the ghastly bare sensitive baby teeth that i have now
I getcha bro, pic
is me. The sensitivity to cold fricking sucks, especially when its cold air.
pic btw
Could look worse, but camera is unclear.
age?
>My teeth are all white and straight
>But I also grind them in my sleep so they have gotten shorter and of similar size
>Only just started wearing a mouth guard to bed because I am a moron and too poor for dentist
It's definitely too late, I may need grillz or caps or completely false teeth lmao frick
Wouldn't be an issue if dental insurance wasn't such dogshit.
I live in Australia, dental insurance has a cap for anything major of like $1k on a plan that costs well more than that a year. And because we have Medicare (public health), the public dentists are nearly impossible to get a booking for.
Even with the best dental plans, you generally have to go to providers that have registered with the health insurer (I live in a rural spot so none around me) to get anything substantial back. It's fricking aids
I feel you. And what's worse is that some providers with ortho plans will try to weasel out of paying for adult brace work, arguing its "aesthetic only."
I'm done with my invisalign next month and I'm getting a gum graft to fix some minor recession. Teeth look fricking great otherwise. WAGMI
How much is the graft costing yah?
2k, using synthetic, it sounds kinda dope
33
Wow, talk about a bargain. Everywhere I see it, its 3k for just one tooth.
I think he is only filling in the space between one-two teeth.
how old?
How many trays were you on, and for how long each? I know the standard is 2 weeks, but I've heard of some going as fast as 1.
13, two weeks each, 3 months final trays
Wow, sounds like your misalignment wasn't that bad.
How else can I get my teeth whiter aside from baking soda on toothpaste, whitening strips or cashing out to get teeth bleached?
Questions about flossing
Do you guys just use the standard string or some sort of device
Do you rinse the string before every gap? I'm not sure hygengic it is just going through everything dragging the same dirt around in between your teeth
but im not sure how effective rinsing really is
Ever had a dentist floss your teeth for you? They take a long length of floss, like a meter, and spool it up around one finger. Then after every gap they unspool a bit and spool it onto their finger on their other hand so a fresh bit is ready to go.
Ah, I havent been unspooling. That might be a good idea.
I got a waterpik recently.
It's great.
>receding gums meme
Receding gums is fricking normal unless your jaw bone is showing, you morons
My exposed tooth root at age 25 begs to differ.
tbh I'm only 26 and my shit has receded so much in the last 2 years. It's 100% from me brushing too hard. I used to have plenty of gums in between all of my front teeth, but now it's all receded away & I have visible gaps where the gums used to be. Not to mention how much longer the teeth are at the top/bottom, and how sensitive they are to cold now. Shit sucks.
We will get through this man. Just gotta up our dental game and preserve our gums enough for the future peridontal options.
