being fat, an advantage?

1 kg body fat has 7,700 calories in it which will keep you alive for 4 days without eating. Wouldn't this be a massive advantage if a war or natural disaster happened? Russia might nuke us so your protein bar makers might get nuked. How would you survive the collapse without extra body fat?

If you sit in one room doing nothing then yeah, but being fat also makes it harder to walk, run, fight back properly, increases risk of movement injury, your fitness will be low so you can't ruck/hike any distance worth a damn, plus if you're going from nothing to the stress and physicality of a warzone then your chances of a heart attack/stroke are significantly higher than most other people's.

If your 'war' involves sitting in your basement playing vidya then yeah you're winning. If it involves actual war you're just an easier target and likely to cause issues for your comrades who will have to accommodate your fat ass

Americans for some reason equate 1 lb of fat to 3500 kcal

Explains why they're all overweight. Can't manage basic multiplication.

I may be American but this math is moron level. A fat cell isn't all fat. It has structure. 3500 calories per pound or 7700 calories per kg is a good estimate.

          >Yeah.. I'm about 38% bodyfat and 3% fat cells at the moment

You're an idiot. We're talking about micronutrients and 1g of fat has 9 calories of energy. You can't reduce it by estimating the weight of a cell. moron.

I'm saying...Actually I'll dumb it down for you. How do you pick up water? You need a bag, a bucket. Maybe your hand, some structure. Your body does the same with fat. There is an overhead. So a kg of fat does not contain a kg of fat. It contains around 85% fat and 15% of weighted structure to hold it in place.

This all very interesting do you know anything about the weighted structures around fat? My mind is blown.

              Sources appreciated.

There is no "weighed structure" it's a cellular membrane and the intracellular protein filaments aren't made using fat

There is a weighted structure. You just said so with your protein filaments. These are reused by the body, but so they don't count as dietary calories, but they certainly have weight and structure.

As the anon said earlier is this thread a kg of fat is 1000g and fat as a macronutrient is 9 kcal per gram. So by the math this is 9000 kcal of fat, but we say dietary fat is 7700 kcal per kg. So there is a 1300 calorie discrepancy. This is obviously because you don't have fat in your body. You have highly ordered cellular fat structures that hold it in place. This structure makes up the difference.

Not sure if you’re being pedantic or a troll but I’m not anyone you have responded to.

            https://www.sch-culvercity.com/news/how-to-burn-more-calories-than-youre-eating/

3500 caloric deficit to lose 1 lb
            3500 x 2.2 (lbs per 1 kg) = 7700 calories

There are in fact 9 calories per a gram of fat so it is unclear why there’s the discrepancy but you’re being a total dickhead.

If an obese person could lose one kilogram of body fat without eating, he would have done so. You also do not take into account the psychological and mental aspect, most of them would commit suicide if they were not killed. Only 1/10 of them will survive

I would eat fatties who are too slow to run after killing them with Hokuto Shinken. Fatties are high in essential proteins, further giving me GAINS to kill more hambeast fatties with. Tough shit 4chins, its time for 4quads to take over.

Assuming you don't die from being fat first, you could outstarve a lot of people in a foodless society
