Gymnastic rings is one of the most underrated training device. Being able to do a ring muscle up requires a high aptitude of strength, dexterity, and mind-muscle connection. It is significantly harder to perform than a static bar muscle up. There's ring exercises that also develop the core muscles and overall gives more balanced gains with less muscle injuries. Rings are based. The intermediate stage begins when you can do at least one ring muscle up and 4 dips, that requires a lot more strength and dexterity than it sounds.
