It's like dropping a 6 litre V10 in a stock Honda Civic, but leaving brakes, suspension and exhaust as stock. Something is going to give before the engine does and render the car useless.

Just roll it down to your hips and deadlift it off if you fail. It's only a problem if you are benching such high weight that even resting it on your chest (with some resistance from you) is enough to bruise or crack your ribs. I don't know what that weight is because I haven't reached it, but it's definitely pretty high.
