        I was roughly the same size as this Asian gentleman when I hit 3pl8, I was 155. Strict form, bar to nips, back and butt on bench. Only got 1 rep but it was clean. Building strength is honestly easier than building size, that's been my experience.

          Every sport has frauding, every form of competetive lifting has frauding. The only difference is because "olympic" lifting is tied to the olympics, the IWF has to pretend to care because of the IOC, and the IOC has to pretend to care because of how much the olympics appeal to moronic normalgays for $$$. The IOC is also filled with corruption, so eastern european countries and China can ignore many of the regulations that bootlicking western countries eagerly obey.

      Wouldn't having to unrack and rerack the bar yourself stop all of this bullshit without having to implement really precise form regulations?         part of the reason so many roiders rip their tendons is because some steroids decrease collagen synthesis => make tendons more brittle.
        Combine a stack that makes your tendons weaker and your muscles stronger and it's a recipe for disaster.

          Steroids make muscles grow but they don't do dick for tendons and ligaments, the things that actually hold your appendages together. The muscle gets too big for the tendon to hold so everything blows up. They don't actively "make your tendons weaker" they just do nothing for them while blasting everything else. It's like dropping a 6 litre V10 in a stock Honda Civic, but leaving brakes, suspension and exhaust as stock. Something is going to give before the engine does and render the car useless.

                even if they did help grow tendons and ligaments. you got to remember the limited blood flow they get. hell some of then have veins that are one cell wide. tell me steriods can somehow increase their growth and recovery of that to match muscle tissue. yeah now shut the frick up homosexual.

          You're moronic. The spotter is not there to catch a freefalling 400+lb bar with bad leverage and no warning. Even if the bar was just half that weight it still wouldn't be expected for the spotter to catch it and it still wouldn't be his fault.     This guy has some really good videos and info on body mechanics, and proper movement during exercises, including bench.
    He goes a long way in dispelling some of the bullshit myths perpetuated on youtube. He's basically self-taught, but with all the credentials to back it up.
    Super smart and can back it up with actual strength and experience. His main audience seems to be other therapists that don't know wtf they are doing, so they look to him for guidance.
    Here is a couple of example vids about the scapular and bench/press movements, useful for anyone with pec/shoulder pain.

      Just roll it down to your hips and deadlift it off if you fail. It's only a problem if you are benching such high weight that even resting it on your chest (with some resistance from you) is enough to bruise or crack your ribs. I don't know what that weight is because I haven't reached it, but it's definitely pretty high.
