Benefits of water filtering

Anyone here knowledgable on filtering your water and if it's worth doing it. After all your body is a temple, and giving your body the least plastic-filled, fluoride-ridden is the best way to maintain it right? Or maybe I'm moronic and the bad effects of fluoride are largely conflated due to conspiracy theorists.

Not the other anon but I put a pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt into every gallon of water I filter. You’re just trying to get the alkalinity of the water back up or it leeches minerals from you. I’ve read even if you don’t add minerals back in it doesn’t really matter long term anyway

Where do you get this salt? I've seen it on Amazon but I'm not sure if it can be trusted.

I get mine at Walmart. I figure even if there isn’t something in it it can’t be worse than my city water and it’s only one ingredient anyway. If you go with an apec system they usually do big sales around Black Friday

Yes the fluoride is bad for you and you just have to bite the bullet and do it if you are serious about being healthy. The easiest way is ceramic filters that specify >90% fluoride removal for about 2000 litres a candle. To get all the fluoride you need to distill. You need to make sure your container is glass and no metal lid and I run it through kdf and charcoal to remove nickel from the condenser coil.

i love the flavor(or, lack thereof to be specific) of tap water thats been ran through activated charcoal. i never noticed that tap water had a fricked up taste to it until i drank it filtered. can literally taste the chlorine and whatever heavy metals are in there. the only reason i started is because apparently some news station tested my citys water and it has lead and arsenic in it, so thats lovely.
