Blocked ear help

Hi fit

Recently went on a longer than usual jog in the wind , that was on Sunday. My right ear has been completely blocked
Can barely hear a thing out of it. At all, I’ve tried loosening it in the shower, ewe buds etc but nothing helps
My GP doesn’t have a slot open until late Saturday but I can barely drive or talk because it’s completely stuffed
Are there any home remedies for blockage in a ear? It’s driving me crazy. Been almost 5 days now
Is there anything I can do

Make some tea. And when it's cool enough to drink put some in your ear with an eye dropper.

I cleared an impacted ear using saline and a small baster. I blasted my ear a few times and a giant ball of wax came out.

Get ear drops and let them sit in your ear for 20 minutes then use an ear bulb to wash it out with warm water. Then suction out the remaining water. You may have to do this for several days to get it clear.

My ear gets blocked once a year. This is the answer and what your GP would recommend

Nope just eat fortunately. I’m just terrified it’s fricking tinnitus because it’s been like this for 5 days
But idk if I’m freaking out over nothing. I think I’ll just need to find a clinic that cleans it

Is there immediate relief when they pop it?

Yes it is immediate and yes it is incredibly satisfying. I went to some urgent care to get it done the first 2 times and then once I figured how they do it I just started doing it myself. Ya gotta be patient with the ear drops and use them for a few days before you attempt to unclog the ear. Once it’s soft enough I use like a syringe and shoot warm water into my ear, careful to do it at an angle so as not to frick up my eardrum

Don't use cotton buds, they made mine worse, just drove the clag further in. You might be fricked for a while, anon, I had the same and I remained partially deaf in one ear for about 6 months until one day woke up and everything was back to normal again.

How did you just accept that?
You didn’t even see your gp to get it cleared out lmao?

Yeah don’t listen to this anon that’s fricking moronic. If it is earwax it is incredibly easy to get out and should not take more than a week

        Nah, I tried

which didn;t work for me and just gave up, accepted my fate. You get used to it after a week or so.

you need to buy something called debrox. its half hydrogen peroxide and half urea. if you put it in your ear it softens your ear wax. you might have to do it multiple times (do it like once every 12 hours, no more) for it to clear your ear

Olive oil (has to be pure olive oil as that's the active ingredient), cotton wool balls, a hat, and a shower.
Fill your ear up with olive oil, put the ball over your ear to keep the oil in, and hold it in place with your hat.
After 30 mins or so carefully rinse it out in the shower (don't blast it, your eardrum is easily damaged).
You'll probably have to repeat it several times over a few days.

GP in a third world shithole here.

    Sounds like wax impaction.
    No-one should use earbuds ever.

Just put sweet oil in the affected ear for like 3-5 days in a row to soften the wax like that other anon said.
Then irrigate the ear with warm water using a syringe.
Often a wax jelly bean pops out and the person feels instant relief.

Probably not a bad idea to let someone look at it first to check there isn't a perforation, though.

        UPdate guys,
Went to a doc, he didn’t want to flush it so soon. Gave me drops and checked it. No damage or anything, told me to use them for three days max, come back then if it’s still plugged. Is this a decent response?
Also thanks for you all being bros

        >OP doesn't post coom bait
        >gets a thread full of good responses
Let this be a lesson. Also OP idk how to help, sorry. I wouldn't worry about it being tinnitus because that's damage from loud noises like a metal concert or shooting guns without protection. Wind most likely isn't going to be that loud.

tbh I didn’t expect all the useful advice. Was a bit freaked out bc I had to run back home barely hearing shit kek, hopefully this will sort me out

Go to a doctor right away, it could be rapid onset MS

If it's earwax that's stuck in there then lie on your side and fill your ear up with hydrogen peroxide. Leave it in there for a couple minutes and enjoy the bubbles then roll over onto a rag and let it drain out. You might need to do it a few times for it to soften it all up depending on how blocked it is.
Although, I think I've read you're not supposed to use it on a super impacted ear, so read up on it first. It worked on my earwax cork though
