Women prefer more. But it has to be trimmed. If you walk around with bushy body hair like a neanderthal, it is not as attractive, you just look like an animal. Shaven is the same as being a woman or a homosexual so ibv not attractive. Trimmed is the middle ground, signals high T, but at the same time good hygiene and maintainence. Aim to keep it around the same length as your arm hairs and that should be ideal.
you can't put any stock in surveys like this because women are moronic and don't know what they actually like. they thought "ew a guy who shaves his chest" and didn't think about what that looks like. it is incredibly obvious that the average woman would prefer the chest on the right.
I believe in most researches that try to establish what is and what is not attractive to people, actual stimulus is presented. I don't see a reason why this would not make sense though, shaved just looks more feminine, and burly hair looks unhygienic, so trimmed just ends up being ideal.
