Same place u curl or behind a gyat for extra androgen gains
Stop talking like this.
Why?
Do them right in front of the dumbell rack.
it is legal to do these in the squat rack
IF you don't see it painted on the floor then your gym probably does not allow lateral raises. All gyms have a designated lateral raises area which they mark with painting on the floor.
This. Lat raises take up a lot of room, so most gyms have you do them in out-of-the-way places - behind other equipment, in side rooms, sometimes even in the lobby. Don't be afraid to look!
If there's no designated lat raise room, gyms usually allow you to do them in the women's restroom.
In front of the seated lat raise machines so you can drop set.
>his gym doesnt have a designated standing area
holy shit what a loser
Do them seated. Its better anyways. Prevent you from using leg momentum swinging the shit around
you’re overthinking things. just stand wherever and start doing the exercise.
>standing straight up
ISHYGDDT
Never been to a gym without a lat area, are you sure you've looked everywhere? Maybe ask an employee or one of the regulars.
I just to them in front or behind the perma upright benches after my arnold press sets
Go to the dumbell area and make sure you stand right in front of the rack so you aren't in the way
You rerack the fricking dumbbells and go to the cable machine instead. Who the frick wants the most tension during the concentric phase?! You want the most tension when the muscle is stretched.
Dude is infinite repping the whole stack without a change of expression
Lol kek that is an unreal level of strength in real life
Hes looking at the Latina doing squats, attempting to be unseen
>tfw only person to do this in the gym is you
though the only few people that actually lift just do squats or deadlifts for 45 minutes and leave
When you're me you do them wherever the frick you want. I better not catch you standing in any of my spots you little twerp or I'm gonna give you a big nuggy.
squat rack. i also ocupy a bench while resting hehe love my lateral raises
Lateral raises take up a lot of room and can be dangerous for other patrons of the gym. Most gyms let you take the dumbbells home for later raises.

OP is a newb so you should specify, machines and bands are not allowed but members are allowed to dumbbells(barbells and plates too) as they are free weights
Stop trying to troll him butthole. OP make sure to check them out at the counter first. They even gave me a free gym bag to bring a couple 50lb dumbbells home the other day.
>later raises
a jannies favorite lift
do them in the squat rack to save your fellow lifters from becoming t-rex mode
Do them in the squat rack
Generally it's considered poor manners to do them where other people may be walking / lifting since you have to flail your arms around taking up alot of space. Most experienced lifters perfer to do them inside the squatting cage so they don't get in others way.
Behing the hottest girl to stare at her ass for extra motivation.
Its a public place, if she doesnt like it she can move
on top off one of the posts on the squat rack or on the very top of the thing that holds all of the weighted barbells
Hi fren, if you’re new to the gym I recommend against doing that exercise. It’s really hard on your shoulders and you can tear your rotator cuff real easy without guidance. There’s a wealth of targeted shoulder workouts that don’t abuse your shoulders as much, including planks, band tap-outs, rows, shoulder flexions, scapular retractions, and more. Always start the lightest you can with these, because they’re targeted to only one set of muscles. Lift safe and good luck!
>t. got a bum shoulder
The one with lifting platform. Some newbies are doing deadlifts thee out of incompetence, but it has always been a lateral raise area. Zoomers have ruined the gym.
