Bulking and cutting is fucking retarded.

What do you think you're accomplishing by eating too much and then eating too little?
You realize that professional bodybuilders don't really get fat so much as they maintain a strong and healthy bodyweight for all the lifting they do and then when they cut they're intentionally losing their health and strength for the stage, right?
That's not something you should be doing. You should just eat the amount it takes to sustain your ideal bodyweight.

more lean mass gains when bulking + cutting the extra fat afterwards is much more time efficient than making pitiful gains at near maintenance calories

Who said anything about near maintenance? You should be eating exactly as much as the weight you want to be needs. It's that simple and it's exactly what bodybuilders do. It just happens that the weight they want to be changes when they need to shrink wrap beef jerky themselves for the judges.

not everyone wants to be an unathletic bodybuilder lol. And being visibly muscular is just annoying. Everyone wants to talk to you.

This board used to be called health & fitness, zoom zoom. You always hear about bodybuilders dying in their 30s and 40s meanwhile actual athletic people make it to 80 and 90.

Just waiting for you to leave your bodybuilder obsession phase. It's shows your lack of understanding when it comes to fitness that your first metric of reference is bodybuilders. Bodybuilders is the first thing that comes to mind when lifting is mentioned only to normies and teenagers.

you could say they… bulked above that weight and then… cut back down to it.

I mean.. do I really need to reiterate it? They do directly to (not above and then down to) a healthy weight, and then cut to a shrink wrap weight for the pageant. You just want to a be at a good weight so why are you cutting and bulking and not going directly to it like they do? Don't tell me it's necessary because this guy

Asserting that many 30 year-olds have this physique
Asserting that non-lifters can bench 2pl8

Lol get fricked. You're a roidtroony whose mind has been twisted by body dysmorphia and exogenous hormones.

I don't. I think it means to be too bulky for the slimy israelite who gets you paid, in other words healthy. Which is why I'm asking you morons why you are getting fat and the going underweight and then calling it fitness.

    >What do you think you're accomplishing by eating too much and then eating too little?
First you gain the muscle and the strength
    Then you get the definition
    >You realize that professional bodybuilders don't really get fat so much as they maintain a strong and healthy bodyweight for all the lifting they do
That's because they are roidtrannies and the roids keep them lean
    >and then when they cut they're intentionally losing their health
Lol they lose their health when they troon out more than anything
    >and strength for the stage, right?
Lmao at roidtroony "gains". The moment they hop off the juice (in an attempt to lengthen their pathetic and comically short lives) they deflate and lose all their strength.
Natties, on the other hand keep 90% of their strength, as compared to when they are bloatmaxxed
    >That's not something you should be doing.
Go away you israeli gains goblin

    > You should just eat the amount it takes to sustain your ideal bodyweight.
Yeah and if you want to become strong? If you want to build muscle? Then of course you need to bulk.
Everything else is a roidtroony meme.

            Holy crap man.
The lines in green are directly quoted from the original post (OP). The lines in black are my responses.

OP thinks that bodybuilders stay lean and muscular all year round and do extreme cuts only for the stage. And since we don't go on stage, we should just stay lean and muscular like bodybuilders in the off season. And if we do so, he reasons, then we don't need cut and bulk cycles.

That logic, i explain, would only be espoused by people who take exogenous hormones, or by peoples of semitic origin who purposefully want to keep others from attaining strength.

Wouldn’t exactly call that “successful”. Clearly 80% of what you gained was fat.
If you just eat enough protein and when you’re hungry you can easily gain 10 lbs of muscle as a noob.

                >Bulked from being able to squat 60kg for 5 reps to squatting 130kg
                >Cut 15 kilos while being able to do the same

every principle of bodybuilding/weightlifting/fat loss is meant for roiders and was developed by roiders. That is because nobody takes natty training seriously, anyone whose been in the gym for more than 2 years knows that natty training does nothing

A body builders surplus usually gets smaller every year because they potential returns of lean mass increases goes down. If you looked at what they did in their early training yes you'd see a larger surplus. It's not as simple as +300/-500 year after year. After 6 or 7 years their surplus is like maybe barely if even 100 kcal.
