This shit makes my knees click with a wierd sharp pain that I am KEENLY aware is there but is also really fleeting and dissapears in like 0,05s
This only happens with this thing too >squats
fine >heavy squats
fine >r000ning
fine
Literally any activity involving knees that is not this is fine but this for some reason.
I am worried I won’t be able to accurately track the calories. When I run flat on the treadmill and enter my weight, the machine says i burned 30-50% more than if i input the distance into LoseIt. Problem is, how do I normalize the resistance setting of random rowing machines and calculate actual calories burned? Is it really worth it for extra back reps that probably dont do shit cuz its outside of hypertrophy range?
Get a machine that tells you watts generated and convert, the rowing machine will be far more accurate than a fricking treadmill, you're directly driving the motor, calories burned on a treadmill depends entirely on your weight and strides taken, which it cannot measure.
I have. I fricking love rowing and recommend it to anyone who wants to do cardio. >full body >low joint load >doesn't need a lot of space or the risk of seeing another human being
it's perfect. That said
sicc back muscles
cannot confirm. Maybe rowing is hypertrophic for some people but not for me

Are you sure your form is correct?
Do you have the foot slots set at the right position for you

>calculating calories burned
Complete waste of time. Just track your weight on the scale and how many grams of protein you eat

What's he difference between doing this and bent over rows?
Rowing machine is primarily cardio
You're not doing bent rows for 30 minutes straight
because it's a ticket to back surgery if you don't have your form down
adding weight reduces time to achieve same or even more intensity
Doing a 1rm gives me the same cardiovascular benefits as an hoir of cardio?! Amazing!!
I enjoy rowing but running is more useful irl, imo.
Not If you a Viking, than you need both to invade them briish
but joints, rowing is okay even when you're really heavy
It hurts my back 🙁
I have a home gym and I plan on getting a rowing machine as soon as I have the space for it
What's a good program to follow?

Thank you. My legs are way stronger than my upper body and iv been looking for a way to do cardio that doesnt involve the use of my legs
The majority of the stroke is done with the legs

okay how much would a decent rowing machine run me?
New concept2 is only $999
Used are cheaper. Wouldn’t buy anything else
okay but what's the difference between that and something for ~$300 off of amazon? is the concept2 really that much better?
Concept2 is the standard all the way from the Olympic level to the home gym
