Catching 6 different legendary pokemon (he beat ash with only darkrai and latios the other 4 are based on other sources) is absolutely unheard of

Your PC is a completely unknown kid in pretty much all of the games. In one you're the kid of a pretty high rank gym trainer though. Still you're able to catch multiple legendaries in every single game. From the perspective of the elite 4, you're a literal who showing up with legendaries.

Yeah but one is a video game which is made to give the player a sense of accomplishment, the other is an anime that is supposed to be semi realistic. The anime has clear rules on legendary pokemon. This character broke all of those rules. It's an asspull anyway you look at it

Darkrai is a mystical though. Even rarer than legendary
I don't remember the lore exactly, but it didn't seem like it was unique like Lugia
