If you can’t do a single pull-up you are arguably not a man. They’re not difficult to do

Ain't no way you cant do a single pull-up when you can do 30 pushups. What's your weight?

6'4 and 209 lbs. All my strength seems to be in my chest and shoulders. My back is a little rounded and underdeveloped as it seems. I did something wrong

      >get a pair of rings
      >tuck knee rows
      >extended legs rows at a comfortable angle, get the point when you are almost parallel to the ground and can do rows for reps
      >if you are able to do this you can skip entirely jumping/negative chinups (try to get the chinup first, it's easier) and get that fricking chin over that stupid Black person monkey bar
      >if you still struggle try resistance bands
      >DON'T GIVE UP

      Do negative pull ups
      >Place chair infront of pull up bar
      >Stand on chair and grab pull up bar
      >Slowly lower yourself down onto the floor.
Do this until you can actually pull yourself up. I went from no pull ups to 12 a few years ago just doing this.

aight i try this but grip strength is also a problem

It'll help your grip strength a ton just doing jump ups and Negatives.

Do lat pulldowns and work your way up. Once you reach working set with weights closer to your bodyweight then switch over. You can also focus on losing weight if you are fat, this will speed up the process.

Pull ups are a DYEL meme focus on deadlifts and rows for a massive back

    Australian pull ups/ body row

    Use the gymnastics/rings.
Progress by moving feet further rand further out. Until you're laying down basically.
This exercise will work your middle back/ lats& rhomboids. Which might be the bottleneck of the equation.

Yup, 6'1 206lb bw fatass here. Decided I wanted to reduce my accessories, and do chinups and dips for most of my upper body work. Started being able to do 0 chins a few weeks ago, then started doing jumping chins and Negatives for sets of 5xF, would do band assisted chins when I had them, and then earlier this week I did 4 full chinups on my first set. Now I'm just doing as many chinups as I can, regardless of the type.
Tl;dr, do more chinups or pull-ups OP.

Dude just keep trying to do pullups, you just don't have the neural connections. Even you just hanging from the bar would be better.
