It’s the actual mark of a sheep. I swear if you can’t tell whether something has gone bad using sight smell touch or taste, and in the extreme case stomach pain, and instead rely on the god damn grocery store which sells you food. You probably tell the person at McDonald’s they gave you an extra nugget and return it.

Right. In the old days I would nearly always choose the latest expiry date when buying even fresh food. Now I go by sight alone, which is vastly better to tell the freshness of somethng, occasionally touch or smell. It's an instinctive skill you have, built up over hundreds of millions of years of evolution, and you're going to override it because of a number slapped on it. The expiry dates should only be used as a tie-breaker.

As for whether it's gone bad or not, I all the time come across food that has gone bad, particularly grapes, yet its expiry date say there are days left. I also routinely find fresh food absolutely perfect days after its expiry date if I haven't gotten around to eating it yet.

When I was living in uni halls I had a flatmate knock on my door to ask if his bacon was rotten
I asked if it smelt bad and he said no but it's shiny
I had a look and it was the fricking iridescence caused by the salt
I really don't get people who are pussies about food. I'm a certified zoomer and as far as I give a shit gone off milk is yogurt, and gone off yogurt is cheese. It's still fricking food.

As long as it's still properly seeled from outside air it should be fine. Taste and smell should be the biggest indicators. It's just refined dried milk protein if seeled away from sunlight it should be safe to eat for years. 2021 isn't that long ago, eat a little if it smells okay and see how you feel. You should be okay
