Dude your job is a shit if you can't afford enough food. It is so easy to eat 3000 calories a day for me that it isn't even funny. I have to struggle to keep it at 1500.

I make 6 figs and still steal stuff from Coles and Woolies all the time. They claim it on insurance anyway, frickem

Unrelated but I steal stuff from bunnings aswell. I'm not gonna pay 12.50 for a pack of 6 nuts. Frick that shit

        Coles 3* beef mince
        >$11/kg
        > ~200g protein, 2000cal/kg
        >Can be made into spaghetti bolognese, shepherd's pie, chilli con carne
        >All can be prepped in bulk and frozen for the week ahead
I ate so much mince when I was a student.

        >I make 6 figs and still steal stuff from Coles and Woolies all the time
Same. The supermarket duopoly here means Coles and Woolies have profit margins far beyond their counterparts in Europe or the US.

What duopoly? In Perth, we have Aldi, IGA, Spud Shed and Farmer Jacks.

I make 6 figs and cant get pre-approval for a 2 bedroom pod.

6 figs is meaningless when the currency is devalued faster than wages increased.

1kg of ground beef is 2.3kcal and 160g of protein, which is $10 in Australia. If you need carbs because you are a homosexual, supplement with rice.

A roast chicken is $10-12 and has all the protein you need for a day.
Breast is $11 a kg up from 10 this time 2 years ago. Leg of Lamb is $10 per kg.
    Buy bulk potatos and rice.
    Cage eggs are still cheap.
I buy frozen peas and fresh broccoli or some other green when it's on special.

My chicken peas and mash which fills you the frick up is like $4 per serve. Add more butter and potato if your bulking

If you can't afford to eat the diet you can't afford to lift.

There is an odd loophole through steroids though.

Avoid shopping at Coles and Woolworths if you can since their prices are fricking outrageous and they're absolutely gouging the frick out of people to the point where I don't give a frick if they get robbed. I remember at one point that cafe toast bread was double the cost at Coles as it was at Aldi, what a joke.

Migration is a massive factor in it, more people = more demand = more resources used.
But our political class is desperate to not only make money (they basically all own property and are more or less owned by corporate landlords) but if they raise the population than *technically* they're raising GDP, but in reality we're all in a recession, but they don't want to hold the bag for that. It's a fricking joke, this country needs a depression unfortunately.

What this country needs is a few lynchings in minecraft to remind the politicians who they should be serving.

Almost every rental I went to and even the 6 story apartment building my sister lives in had a chink real estate agent who could barely speak english.
And when you're not dealing with that, there's 50 arabs/indians at any auction or applying for any rental.

Last year there was net migration of around 650k. Last year 116k properties were completed.

That is an overflow of around 440k new residents for available properties. Which is why rental vacancy is currently at 0.7%. Quarterly figures for migration are ahead of last year and quarterly completions below last year.

            Do the maths

          This is everywhere
What we are experiencing is an economic model that relies on population growth for economic growth, the two are now synonymous. It's pretty Primitive tbh, uninspired. But what can we do? Nothing. We are peasants. We are actually the migrants themselves, because they are us. Homogeneous ethnic and national homelands were always fairy tales, in retrospect. No one is safe

Unironically the solution is AI and virtual reality
This dovetails with verdansky's noosphere, peat's unlimited qualitative economy, and the general direction of the volition of man
And we are seeing that already. Every video game has its own currency, you have crypto, vr and, what's it called, the half-vr. I forgot the name
Anyway, the challenge for the peasantry is to ensure we have a physical property of our own so that we can occasionally reconnect with our physical humanity

    unironically stealing
half my groceries are stolen and I don't feel bad about it at all. Healthy food shouldn't be a privilige for rich people and since I'm stealing from big chains it doesn't really hurt anyone anyway.
