I too am cursed with thin hair anon.
You must wash it with warm water (not HOT, just warm) daily and blow-dry it. When your hair gets even a little bit greasy, the fine, thin hairs clump together and make your scalp easily visible.
Daily rinse + blow dry and you'll be good. Shampoo once a week or once a fortnight.
ITS NOT FRICKING TOENAIL FUNGUS FRICK YOU ALL, I HAVE AN AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER
The scaly skin is dead OP, moisturising a corpse doesn't return it to life, does it. Same problem with the dead skin on your feet here.
You need to remove the dead skin gently so the healthy young skin can be taken care of, re; routine above
No, Paw paw ointment isn't useful for exfoliation. It's moisturising abilities are questionable as they're often more emollient that moisturiser
- if you'd like an in-depth explanation I'll provide it but only if you show you're serious about learning
>duh its just dead skin
NO IT HEALED 70% When i put pawpaw ointment on it and went to the pool for ages
That's not how skin works.
Dry skin has the texture it does due to micro cracks which allow moisture to leave the skin at an accelerated rate, when it dies it becomes scally.
Typically dry skin occurs when any combination of harsh soaps, too frequent bathing, lack of appropriate water intake and cold/dry weather changes occur
The emollients in paw paw cream, fill the gaps in the scally skin providing the illusion of healing (smoother but not supple under tension), however once water washes away the emollients, the illusion breaks. Depending on the type of pool (chlorine or salt) the pool water either assisted in removing skin or dehydrating it, so it could naturally fall off.
how do you homosexuals let your hair get this greasy holy fricking shit
invest in shampoo and conditioner before caring about your scalp anon holy frick
I have fine hair too (genetically thin hair follicles - not balding) and I did no poo+ACV wash for 8 weeks and I don't think that works. I went to a dermatologist and they said use Head and Shoulders in combo with prescription Ketoconazole shampoo and that helped a lot. You might have some sorta hair fungus thing. Be wary of dermatologists tho, they will scam you into getting useless biopsies.
OP you need to consult with a reputable barber on what haircuts would look good on you, many men with thinning hair initially think longer hair = covering problem, however the answer is the other way around, going shorter (not shaved) with either gradual changes in length or disconnecting the sides and back from the top, reduce visual contrast of length, creating less noticeable hairline issues.
Additionally it's important to be honest with yourself about how much hair you do have. If hair styling is new to you, I'd encourage you to talk at greaaaaaaat length with a reputable barber in person (not online, in person this is required, keep asking every question about it, making sure to communicate your new to this and wish to replicate this at home), watch their process and emulate each and every stage, every day, after about 2-3 weeks you'll be able to style your hair effortlessly.
Not sure where to look? - (google best barber in X city - browse their client photos comparing hairlines to see if they're appropriate for you)
Long term solution is a hair transplant everything else poorly patches the problem
Additionally and I earnestly mean this as politely as I can, taking better mental care of yourself as well as your hygiene and diet in general will make you feel much better
Hiya!
That won't help too much, to be honest you need to stop listening to people who are encouraging you to hyper fixate on (admittedly valid but) minor aspects of what contributes to your concern.
Invest in a slightly above average volumizing shampoo and a light volumizing conditioner (women's works much better bcuz longer hair), towel dry hair, followed by quality hairdryer with internal ceramic coating and negatively charged ions (anti frizz basically), then apply sea salt hair spray, massage into hair gently, dry hair again with hair dryer, using the free hand to move hair around, redistributing wet and dry areas. Don't leave the hair dryer in one place, move both it and your hands around your scalp - think using the air to style your hair, as the spray dries it creates bounce and volume.
Tips -
- Don't use max heat or max speed, slow and steady wins this race
- Apply enough sea salt spray to make hair damp but not wet
- consider getting a quality haircut that fit's your scalp and face better
- Remember, you can legitimately pull off significantly more hair styles than you probably realise
- be kind to yourself and accept your first attempts won't be perfect but keep at it and you'll be great in no time! ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶
screw that the whole reason i was using a soap bar was because shampoo and conditioner was ruining my hair, and hell now i wont use a hairdryer my hair is extremely breakable
Half correct, generally low quality shampoo and conditioner will do that.
You need to use the correct type and quality for your hair type.
Soap, depending on it's formulation can reduce the issue in the short term but weaken hair in the long run....as it strips everything from your hair
all that craps just gonna make my hair go more oily more faster
Again, half right, half wrong - You are correct that shampoo encourages oil and sebum production but that is with the caveat that it's only true for low quality shampoo.
Hair becomes weak when using a hairdryer if you use max heat without heat spray - Don't use max heat, invest in a better hair dryer (if you choose to use one at all)
If style isn't a concern and only hair health is, this is what you need to do.
Using the correct shampoo for your hair type, apply when your hair becomes dull roughly every 3-5 days, each time you use conditioner, only rinse it at the very end of your shower.
On days where you have plans, use an aerosol dry shampoo (Batiste is good for most hair types).
Drink more water and consume less sugar and saturated fat as these effect oil production significantly more than any shampoo

Not exactly, there's a scale that looks like:
[Clean-----------Stripping]
When hair is stripped it becomes weak and more prone to breaking
Soaps by design have muuuuch higher levels of surfactants in them, however like I said before formulation matters more with hair care
Occasionally some soaps will also have small amounts of moisturising agents too, this admittedly helps even the balance but it's still heavily biases toward stripping
This is where well meaning people like yourself can go wrong as it works in the short term buuuuut due to the imbalance in the formulation between surfactants and hydrating agents causes the same issues in the medium-long term.

None of the products that I suggested were hairsprays, you clearly don't know what you're talking about
Pretty obvious you just want someone to validate your attempt at rationalizing poor hygiene and a lack of willingness to learn
Hair becomes dirty due to sebum production, bacteria feed off this releasing gasses that make hair smell bad.
Many low quality formulations tend to pad their products with a variety of chemicals, all of which you should avoid, here's a few offenders (some more common than others)
Parabens, triclosan, sls, petrolatum/ mineral oils, edta, propylene glycol, als, dea/tea/mea and silicones
Additionally, if you visit well made shampoo maker's sites, you'll notice they have between 3 and 5 options in each individual product line, this is because they're designed for different customers with different levels of sebum production
If you found poor results from shampoo it will be one or a combination of these reasons:
- harmful to hair chemical additives
- incorrect or no conditioner
- too much/too little shampoo
- leaving the shampoo in for too long
- low quality formulation
- incorrectly matched product to hair type
Diet is a difficult problem, if you live in the usa food labels can be extremely deceptive, otherwise if you legitimately cut sugar and saturated fat out of your diet, while drinking more water for an extended period of time (8 weeks) and found no change, you should talk with a doctor
When you were working on your diet, how long did you practice the changes for and what did you generally eat on those days?

This is my routine basically >comb my wet hair with a fine comb >blow dry it on medium heat and comb heat >once hair is damp I put a cap on and continue to blow dry it so that whatever hair stocks out becomes bouncy and compliments the shape of my head >once dry I pull off my cap and blow dry the top while I comb my hair with my head upside down >done

I've had a look at German product selection and can see why you may have experienced some difficulty.
Balea would be a good choice however it's formulation changes frequently so I'm unable to vouch for it
Here are some reasonable starters
Shampoo:
Aussie Aussome Volume shampoo - hops version, not kakadu plum
Philip Kingsley body building weightless shampoo
Maui moisture lightweight hydration + hibiscus water
Conditioner:
Sukin volumizing conditioner
Maui moisture gentle & lightweight flaxseed conditioner (use less than you think you'll need)
For that extra bounce and shine
The night before, apply chosen shampoo, then apply Maui Moisture heal & hydrate + shea butter hair mask, put on a shower cap leave product in hair for two hours (optional: leave in overnight, keep wearing the shower cap), then rinse. Apply conditioner and lightly dry your hair by gently grabbing hair in bunches through a towel and squeezing, lightly.
Hair should be wetter than damp but not soaking. Then tie hair up in a loose high bun and sleep
When you have woken up, gently remove hair tie and feel your hair, if it has the bounce you like style as is familiar, if you feel like it's a little heavier (this can happen with the optional part above), then apply a very very very small amount of shampoo to damp hair, mix through and rinse immediately.
Be aware your hair will have significantly more body so it will take longer to blow dry it into the shape you desire but once it's in the desired shape it will be like a spring, boing boing
Enjoy your amazing hair! (◦''◦)

You asked for the solution, there it is. Sea salt spray does the opposite since it's salt and volumizing agents are the only way to keep your current hair style while thickening it's appearance. Hair fibers are for people in denial about their situation and will make you insecure in the long run. Additionally dull dark hair that clumps, especially on white skin has a move obvious contrast, so by using the correct product hair clumps less and becomes less dark.
The no-poo philosophy doesn't currently have academic evidence supporting it, what hypotheses that have been made aren't for your hair type.
2/2
That won't help, the issue is multi-faceted, focus on formulations alone, ignores very real avoidance of core issue, which prolongs negative self evaluation towards their current hair style
You look sickly, your hair is greasy yet you your skin is dry, you have foot fungus and dandruff, you are frightening to behold. I suggest exercising and changing your diet to healthier food, change your hair products to something with tea tree oil.
It’s fungus, it’s growing between your toes and under your nails it resembles dry skin but that’s onychomycosis you should rub some clotramizole cream on it.
i don't really belief its fungus tho cuz i put pawpaw moisturizer ointment on my dry cracked scally heels and it still got rid of the scallyness

Nail bed may have some fungus, discoloration matches.
The scaly skin is dry skin, to get rid of it, you'll need to
- soak feet in warm-hot water for 15 minutes max then use a physical exfoliating shower glove to gently abrade the skin, towel dry and moisturise
- Drink more water
After a week of doing this, begin using an AHA chemical exfoliant designed for feet
If you don't fix your nail bed now, it will get worse.

from my understanding on nopoo, it takes about 2 months just to get your oil production in check. I’ve been doing nopoo for about a year now and my hair seems better, but I use conditioner now (I didn’t before) so idk for sure

its called bullshit for a reason anon.
OP, wash your hair twice a week with something specifically for fine hair. Work some texturising gloop into it (you'll have to experiment to find one that works best), and let it air dry. Use a very small amount of salt spray and/or something designed to minimise frizz if its an issue.
Why are you all so moronic that "grease" is literally your natural oils that keep your head and scalp healthy that you're stripping by using fricking bar soap?
Shampoo once a week and co wash every other day, massage oil into your scalp to promote growth It's not that hard.
OP, keep going with no-poo. Wash once or twice a week with heavily diluted ACV (I do like 1 oz ACV in a 16oz glass then fill the rest up with cold water). Only wash your hair with COLD water. Avoid hats when you can and eat clean. When you do no-poo your hair will probably look greasy for a few months unril your body scalp adjusts sebum production. Get a haircut, as that extra weight makes it look bad. GL op.
>only cold water
I’ve been starting warm and going cooler/cold near the end since I imagine the warmer water makes it easier for the oil to flow off my hair.

all that craps just gonna make my hair go more oily more faster
That won't help, the issue is multi-faceted, focus on formulations alone, ignores very real avoidance of core issue, which prolongs negative self evaluation towards their current hair style
No poo checking in, no pee too
Stop wearing headsets
Start semen retention
Eat healthy diet
i dont wear headsets, i dont have semen and what i eat made no difference
Start semen injections
What you eat does impact your health including your hair whether you believe it or not
Alternatively just shave it off
You look sickly, your hair is greasy yet you your skin is dry, you have foot fungus and dandruff, you are frightening to behold. I suggest exercising and changing your diet to healthier food, change your hair products to something with tea tree oil.
its not fungus its old skin
It’s fungus, it’s growing between your toes and under your nails it resembles dry skin but that’s onychomycosis you should rub some clotramizole cream on it.
could vinegar get rid of it?
i don't really belief its fungus tho cuz i put pawpaw moisturizer ointment on my dry cracked scally heels and it still got rid of the scallyness
You can soak your feet in some warm water and peroxide if you don’t have anything else, I’m positive it’s fungus because of where it’s at though.

Please for the love of god don't say shit like you did before about shampoo
whatever cant i just use paw paw ointment?
The scaly skin is dead OP, moisturising a corpse doesn't return it to life, does it. Same problem with the dead skin on your feet here.
You need to remove the dead skin gently so the healthy young skin can be taken care of, re; routine above
No, Paw paw ointment isn't useful for exfoliation. It's moisturising abilities are questionable as they're often more emollient that moisturiser
- if you'd like an in-depth explanation I'll provide it but only if you show you're serious about learning
Couldn't last more than 2 days on no-poo. My ass just hurt too damn much
you dont have to take this from these ogres mlady, you are a beautiful flower that i will hold in my hands some day! just the thought ofr holding your beautiful luscious hair and body in my hands is giving me a large erection!
Medieval peasant maxxxxxing
no poo is a meme anon, tried it for about two months, my hair was always greasy and clumpy, it never got any better
from my understanding on nopoo, it takes about 2 months just to get your oil production in check. I’ve been doing nopoo for about a year now and my hair seems better, but I use conditioner now (I didn’t before) so idk for sure
when i looked into it i remember people saying it took 2-3 weeks, not months
Guys I'm Norwooded to hell. Thinning all over the top. There's hair, just much less than on the sides. I'm growing it one more time instead of shaving it. Tips? Shit to buy that can help? Not going minox/fin, gimme that herbal homeopathic bullshit
see you in a few years buddy
I'm already the bottom 'Jak
Hair transplant is the only useful long solution
Changing hairstyle to one that reduces contrast in length, like an under cut or embrace it a get a viking braid mohawk
>herbal homeopathic bullshit
its called bullshit for a reason anon.
OP, wash your hair twice a week with something specifically for fine hair. Work some texturising gloop into it (you'll have to experiment to find one that works best), and let it air dry. Use a very small amount of salt spray and/or something designed to minimise frizz if its an issue.
Most flattering pic of a neanderthal I've ever seen.
I would still go in raw and blow a massive Aryan load balls deep.
Heard palm kernel oil could help depending on what's causing the thinning.
have you tried drying it?
