Is this just a case of "Effort disgusts me" or some weird psychological hang up about appearance? I always heard people offhand mention that some women simply do not like men working out because it implies that they're deficient in something but damn...

>women don’t realize that manual labour makes you look like absolute fricking garbage
No surprise there. Women simply eat up what the media and society tells them to be reality.
unlike you, im sure. you're a smart guy, i bet, someone whos never fell for a psyop. an objective logical ass guy!
This. Im not shredded just exhausted all the time and skinny fat
Or maybe most people that do manual labour eat like shit lol
anyone who does manual labor and looks good also lifts
People working in offices have no excuse, they usually have a microwave.
I can't imagine working eight hours in a field or construction leaves you with time for anything other than fast food.
post forearms
they never done it
ngl most manual laborers eat like fricking absolute demonic goblins
have a friend who used to work in a warehouse, guy looked kinda dyel, but could lift much more than guys i knew who were into gym and bodybuilding aha.
If you try to understand women or lift for them, you will fail.
I've stopped lifting and caring about women. I quit my job.
I just raise chickens and plant potatoes now.
I just want to be built like a World Eater. Attracting women is just a side benefit but...maybe it's not.
I'm a mechanic and really all it trains is arms mostly just through insane volume. Not much else
>im a mechanic
People usually think of manual labor things like digging ditches, warehouse work or trades like carpentry. And any of those jobs will destroy you not jack you up. The only way you get jacked up the way they think you ought to through that sort of work is hitting the gym constantly and not gaining strength but only the appearance of it
Carpentry is actually rather light on the body compared to most of these sort of jobs. Undoing bolts and lifting engine parts for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week really does make you stronger. Stuff like your grunt work like digging ditches and warehouse work will absolutely fricking RAPE your body but I still see big frickers doing it, they're more like fat ogre build than lifter build but I rarely see a weak brick layer.
Them together.
Listen man I wasn’t disagreeing. I was just stating that is what women in general think of manual labor they don’t consider the mechanic to be one.
I work in a car factory and the people who do mechanical type work which are in engine assembly areas are some of the most abused and fricked at that place because of all the torq that is applied all day long on the same body parts for two and half hours.
Manual labor destroys you.
That can't be a welder, he's very obviously not on fire. Also, where's the angle grinder?
True welders carry the fire within...also the angel grinder is being used by a apprentice near a solvent spill.
It’s true I work in a warehouse and my back is currently fr*aked up
Literally just stop being poor. I work as a researcher, and I get to basically screw around all day doing whatever the frick I want or even straight up no show so long as I can convince some higher ups that things are moving ahead every couple of weeks. They pay me a 95 percentile income for this.
Did you have to get the covid vax?
World eaters are bottom-tier. Even putting aside chaos and voluntarily installing butchers' nails their whole MO is unga-bunga Black person ape outs
Emperor's children are far more IST. The eternal pursuit of perfection and failure being utterly unacceptable. Fists are also acceptable: "if you frick with big E we will come for you and we will destroy you".
People like you give me hope.
Are you the chickenanon from a few weeks ago who talked through the math of breeding and selling chicks and eggs?
Because women don't know what they want. They are literal morons wandering around with wombs. They just want a tall guy who isn't morbidly obese, if they have to choose between a short fit guy or a tall fat guy they'll still choose the fat guy.
Women are morons.
If you accept that, it actually makes life make A LOT more sense.
It blows my mind that there isnt a substantial movement to take away womens right to vote. These b***hes cant even decide what they want for dinner, why the frick are we letting them get involved in politics ?
- politics
Rights should be restricted to the ruling class, those who risk their lives to uphold the laws and rules they establish, giving power to merchants, women, morons, anyone who isn't willing to die for the world they want to live in, corrupts everything, making the laws and culture revolve around things that have no value.
Just like my animes bro.....
>just like in my
1776
Or
Feudal Japan
Basically, Anon, this other Anon's argument is the precise problem. Everyone is keenly aware that if you vote away the rights of women, immigrants, or any other group, the people who think they should be in charge of everyone else are going to use it as a precedent to take away the rights of everyone but themselves and the groups they agree with. Allow even one abatement of human rights and it opens up law to take away everything that democracy has earned, which is what makes fifth columnists such a powerful and terrifying force.
You can't undo them without seriously damaging the very concept of civilization and the idea that all people should have rights. Just introducing them damaged it, because they're the people that shouldn't have rights.
>believing in democracy in the first place
you need to disenfranchise the other half too. Far too many moronic men out there.
I really wish someone told me this when I was younger. I naturally figured it out in my late 20's but my god the girls I could have smashed if I knew earlier.
One of the effects of testosterone has is that it makes you enjoy hard and strenuous physical activity. Couple with competitiveness, even just against yourself, and you have the result of lifting for the sake of lifting. Women won't be able to relate to this. Which is why lifting primarily for girls is and always has been moronic, they are whimsical social creatures most of them devoid of any true interests or passions that aren't tangential to some social scene.
"workout" is a noun; Razer531 means "work out".
women know very little of fitness, because they follow hot women, not muscular women. Someone like leanbeefpatty is very rare, and even then I think most of her audience is men. Most women just follow hot models with great genetics who do meme exercises, as if that is how they got their bone structure.
>Is this just a case of "Effort disgusts me" or some weird psychological hang up about appearance?
No, it's just women being women. They just paint that picture on the guy because of their own insecurities, so that if they approach him and he doesn't care about them they can brush it off as "I knew he was arrogant" instead of facing the reality that they got rejected. Don't take them too seriously and try to look at the bigger picture.
So literally "effort disgusts me"
Think about it like this: a lot of guys wouldn't want a girl who's done plastic surgery on her face. It's the same here. You might be jacked but your kids will be weak incel shits unless they also work out.
>plastic surgery is the same as working hard working out
Genetically yes.
Wrong
>You might be jacked but your kids will be weak incel shits unless they also work out
that appplies to literally ALL human beings. Are you fricking moronic?
women think chad is naturally jacked and to an extent they're right, some men have naturally higher test levels and thus build muscle more easily in childhood and puberty without having to explicitly lift weights.
Doing some sort of sport is generally required regardless
>women think chad is naturally jacked and to an extent they're right,
>some men have naturally higher test levels and thus build muscle more easily
There is no correlation between test levels and muscle building ability in healthy adult men when comparing them with each other. So many studies on this. What differs is the way their body responds to testosterone. Some mens bodies react more strongly than others to testosterone. That natural masculine athletic chad likely has boring 600 ng/dl test.
>in childhood
Children have like 10 ng/dl
>and puberty without having to explicitly lift weights
That's due to their genes responding to testosterone strongly rather than the absolute levels of the hormone.
Check out these high T betas in pic related, their bodies look feminine because they don't respond very well to their testosterone despite test levels being over 1500 ng/dl naturally.
Checked and fascinating. In some regards, this is similar to the DHT meme wherein some guys have sensitive skulls that lead to the follicles being raped even by woman amounts, while other guys have enough androgens to kill a horse but an immortal hairline.
So it's not just the numbers, but how receptive one is to them as well. VEry IntersetIng
picrel has had tons of work done, i don't gaf as long as she looks like this
B ( o Y o ) B A
Wouldn't the muscle insertion and all that genetics still be there? It's not like your incapable of gaining muscle if you don't have tons naturally.
I think there's a degree of that to it, but it's weird, I've heard women find working out to be almost unattractive to the degree that they're more ok with roiders than naturals because working out for a while is a ick I guess?
Do we actually do that though? I don't, no man I know does, I actively don't mention it unless someone asks.
>Do we actually do that though? I don't, no man I know does, I actively don't mention it unless someone asks.
i probably talk about it too much with my friends, it's a bad habit personally
I think that's different as long as they're also into it. I talk about Warhammer 40k a fricking ton but so does my circle so it's all good.
Also women confuse leaness with muscle mass. You can be super fricking lean but hardly any muscle and women will be like "OMMG HE'S SO BIG".
I’d prefer guys after bulking than after cutting. I really like the big guys
gays are into everything, doesn't count
>Also women confuse leaness with muscle mass. You can be super fricking lean but hardly any muscle and women will be like "OMMG HE'S SO BIG".
Maybe in pictures
IRL women have a cavewoman radar which isn't fooled
Women also can't judge length or distances. I told girls my dick was 2 inches longer than it actually was and even after seeing/riding it they believed it.
>I think there's a degree of that to it, but it's weird, I've heard women find working out to be almost unattractive to the degree that they're more ok with roiders than naturals because working out for a while is a ick I guess?
I don't think thats the case. My ex-gf used to tell me that she didn't care about my body and that everyone is beautiful and that I shouldn't workout so much yet she shared semi-nude pics of me with all her female friends. My current gf also told me that she doesn't care about my body yet whenever I step out of the shower with only a towel on she instantly drops everything she's doing to go and feel me up, and literally begs me to get dressed because she can't control herself. It's all just a shit test.
ufff, were you fat or skelli before getting jacked?
Both can be true, someone can appreciate and adore your body, but it doesn't mean that your body is why they chose to be with you. Don't overthink it; your GF finds you hot, and she likes you for who you are.
They're lying to you because of the pseudo-emotion thats vaguely like guilt they feel from cheating on you with other guys.
ah the difference between what a person thinks their preferences are and what they actually are
That's a horrible analogy.
The correct one would be do you want a girl with a naturally shapely ass or one that went to the gym to make her ass bigger.
In either case we wouldn't care
That's moronic. I like fit women. Doesn't mean I want a girl who has had a BBL.
>listening to redditors' opinions on anything
every time i read a reddit post i just imagine the author and everyone in their story as a fat piece of shit. it usually makes the story hilarious and has a high probability of actually being the truth.
I would love to date a woman with a gorgeous, fit body but I could see it if her talking/thinking about fitness 100% of the time got grating.
Solution is simple: date a gay boy instead
Women are stupid children. This isn’t needs to anyone.
It's bullying. A bully would generate random insults in hope something makes you upset. It's a personal attack and the only way to fight it is another personal attack, such as, "Kys gay".
Its unironically a law of power. “Make your greatness seem effortless” or some shit. It makes sense. If you constantly flaunt (or merely fail to conceal) the hard work and effort that goes into whatever you do, it cheapens it. Suddenly whatever you’ve done isn’t unique to you, anyone can do it if they sweat enough. Even worse, if true amount of effort is revealed, the output may very well seem disappointing in comparison. It’s like when you learn the magic trick and it’s disappointing. Lifting and working hard can’t be your entire identity, people will see it as you trying to get sympathy or attention for something fairly trivial.
based. i've been a weakling for talking about my efforts and all of my /fit knowledge. your post is inspiring me to stop
By all means, continue sharing it anonymously here. Nothing to be gained or lost in this forum besides time. In your daily life, however, yeah say less.
Ironically I violated the law of power being discussed, but I hope to help you anons. 48 laws of power and the Essential works of Machiavelli are essential reading. Double if you’re a guniea like me.
>Buying a book to be told he is a King
lmaoooooo, this is the gayest shit ive ever read
Nah Robert Greene is a pseud, he's just some random guy that wrote down a bunch of his opinions mixed with a bit of common sense and then branded them as universal laws of society in order to sell books. When you realise he's done nothing in his life to give any weight on his opinions you start to see through it. Some of the stuff is vaguely interesting but read with skepticism.
For most of the autists browsing fit, getting spoonfed social common sense would be incredibly beneficial. Especially if they perceive it to be ‘law’
>Im a King!!!
this is like a kid telling adults how the real world works, dont be that goofy ass frick that everyone laughs at
Stay mired in the rabble of commoners, peasant
>peasant!!!
lmao that was pretty cute. here lemme try..... sheeple!
That is the gayest shit I've ever seen. I don't need a book to not act like a gay.
Clip your nails for fricks sake.
What the frick is this bullshit? lmao
This is a very based post unironically. Shame on those that deride wisdom, wherever it may come from. If anon benefits from reading this, he may learn something he didn't. Even if not, it may reinforce existing concepts in his head. This is far more than the common normalgay. Who knows? He may even become a post apocalyptic dictator when the Happening happens
bruh you just as corny you goofy frick, lmao what the frick are you even saying?
Black person. Unironically you are actually a Black person
>You do you King!!!
im not the one buying books to read a meme you dolt
This is incredibly embarrassing.
>Book that says you should act like a king to gain respect
>Picture with cigar and watch while sitting in drivers seat
god i wish i knew you in real life so i could have a good laugh, i really need one
The cigar makes it cringe, it shows you are a follower and a poser.
i havent used this image in years
Your efforts are both feeble and crude, why don't you go back to doing real work?
If you don't have disgust for most of the world seeping through you on a daily basis, while doing your best to improve your life, but read books on how to "act like a king" while smoking a cigar, that's pretty pathetic.
I smoke cigarillos when I want a tobacco fix because I'm not a fricking poser.
>thinks this book is exclusive to """KINGS"""
>bought on amazon
The only king in this situation is the author who scammed your dumbass
dude you might have had a better reaction if you werent such a try hard holding a book like that, especially while sitting in a car. im surprised you also didnt get a gun and your key fob in the picture either
>implying I wanted a better reaction
>implying I wasn’t trying to replicate that one picture of the fricker with a porche, cigar, and driving gloves
If you have the image, please post it, I lost it :’(
cringe picture, incredibly based book. 48 laws of power is incredibly fricking helpful to understand, although some of you more socially inclined anons may have learned a few of these naturally through life experience. the same goes for how to win friends and influence people- It's a great book ... if you're not good people, I found it absolutely useless because I already knew everything in it subconsciously.
Makes sense I guess. If you act like you aren't at your limits when you are, you seem stronger, like you're holding back. Seems a little fricked really to lie about it all but...what can a guy do but adapt right?
This makes sense because less effort with good results means good genetics
>Even worse, if true amount of effort is revealed, the output may very well seem disappointing in comparison.
This. Never explain to women the amount of work it takes you to look like this or to maintain it. Instantly dries them up.
If anyone ever asks me I'll just say I do push ups and pull ups from time to time.
Based. Nothing more cringe than that guy that always talks about the gym but has a shitty physique. It's the same as reading a lot or appreciating culture, or any form of self improvement. You look like a twat if you try to show off how much time you spend on these things. But if a subject comes up naturally in conversation and you're able to have a well educated and nuanced opinion on it then people will respect you.
As a woman I think it's about vanity. I understand wanting to be fit in order to be healthy, but when it crosses over to obsessing over fitness to have the too-big muscles, it becomes unattractive.
Of course, at the same time a lot of "health" fitness is actually also done for looking good, and yes a man who's toned and has some muscles that can only come from the gym (but not too much!) does look good. But at the same time, being too looks-obsessed and spending tons of time in the gym honing your body just to look good somehow isn't attractive.
I suppose it might be because it's intimidating? I don't want a man who spends more hours on their looks in the week than me, you know?
Continuing to add - I suppose it's a bit of a situation where even if you lift to look good, just don't admit it to women. Come up with some "it helps my back pain" stuff, to not seem like a looks-obsessed vain guy.
I'm sorry everyone, I'm drunkposting a bit. I'll stop
so what actually bugs you? "vanity" in what way?
>looks obsessed
>men
it's called hypocrisy and projection of the self/ego, there's nothing mysterious about any of this
men do get looks-obsessed sometimes, because they think women are as into our bodies as we're into theirs
Women are FAR more looks obsessed than men. Just not about things that men can control. They care about height>face>>
.
Hair is actually really high on the list too. I get compliments about my full head of hair multiple times a week.
Also completely out of our control.
Genetics is cruel, I carry an unbroken line of those who survived since the beginning of history when DNA started assembling to 2023AD, and modern women destroyed it what a time to be alive. Hopefully we go extinct soon.
women
>put on make up every morning
>disproportionally develop eating disorders
>get hair and nails done
>consume a lot of time and resources buying new apparel
>take 10 selfies, prune the ones who aren't the perfect angle, apply filters, upload to social media
There's no contest when it comes to sheer vanity. And some men are absolutely in the same category and starting to pick up, because it works for attraction.
So they’re identifying it as female behavior because they recognize and relate to it? Kinda makes sense
YWNBAW
Can you give an example of these vague terms such as "toned" and "too big"
>I suppose it might be because it's intimidating
Translation if you look better than me I get insecure because I'm not the pretty one in the relationship
yeah, looks like reddit, that's your problem
The OP is talking about those homosexuals that get naked in the middle of the gym to start posing in the mirror. You can work out but you can't act like a gymcel.
She has a point though. There are plenty of gym goers who do nothing but shitty machines that isolate certain muscles and end up looking unproportional. Huge chest and arms, tiny forarms, no legs and so on
>sparklyMONSTER
It's a female trait.
If you're not just "naturally perfect" you're not good enough.
Never falter, never express emotions that don't make her laugh, have sex 25/7 with 69 other women every other day just to keep her interested. Don't wear a blue shirt with blue pants.
cuck mindset
if she likes you you can do whatever
if she doesnt like you then get a different one
Nah. That's not true.
Pretty much. You attract people who are compatible with/on the same level as you. Just become better version of yourself, so you can attract a high quality mate. The trick is becoming the best version of yourself before your dating pool dries up.
I disagree, the majority of women have some level of interest in me and flatter themselves by thinking that I'm flirting by responding to the questions they ask me.
It's frustrating being in a mostly female environment because they start to get all territorial and decide that I'm a bawd.
If you think about it, it isn't surprising. From their perspective it's not much different to permanent shapewear from our perspective.
What is sought is genetic traits as these will provide the best chance for offspring. As such, musculature obtained via work or sport is valued more highly than that derived from an autistic surrogate activity
First of all, these are reddit comments written by men with a handful of upvotes. Why the frick are you taking this so seriously.
Second, most fitness influencers, apparel, and supplements are cringe and are seemingly marketed towards children or morons. Women don't like that vibe. They absolutely love muscles, and they will never be turned off by simply finding out you go to the gym. They can be turned off if you wear only athleisure and drink chocolate protein shakes in front of them and treat going to the gym as if it's your passion. It's a chore, and it really shouldn't be coming up in conversation with women in the first place unless they also lift. It's like discussing what toothpaste you use.
yes, women want you to be effortlessly perfect, sorry thats just the way things are
needing to put in effort for success is a turn off because it reeks of "geneticallly subpar man seeking to rise above his station"
for them its the same as a man seeing an 8/10 go to a 4/10 without makeup, you realize the facade and pretension
I see a guy on thw phone walking into the gym I think it’s useless
Seems like a forum of people lifting for the wrong reasons.
this is basic stuff you should already be practising
when they ask
>do you work out?
you answer
>no i used to but now i just play casual sports and try to bike most places
or some such nonsense. meanwhile you're in the gym 4 days a week and counting macros
the basis of attraction is discerning good genes from bad (*tips fedora*), and any person will feel a visceral disgust if they see that mechanism being cheated. plastic surgery, leg lengthening, gymcelling, finasteride, they ALL disgust people for this reason even though they don't understand it
women like gymrat bodies but they don't want to date/frick someone who is obsessed with the gym because lifting is considered a vain/bad hobby
>some women simply do not like men working out because it implies that they're deficient in something
it implies the woman is deficient in something and that is effort. Someone who works on themselves will maintain their options which means the woman has to work to maintain that person.
>"Effort disgusts me"
Yes. Imagine what it means to "look arrogant" walking around and how many people actually do that.
Women don't want you to have hobbies. Anything that you're doing that is drawing attention away from them is going to make them upset.
imagine being this miserable
she maybe 'doesn't want you to' but you're supposed to ignore that and persevere in what YOU want and THAT makes her happy
It's not that effort is disgusting, It's that effortlessness is extremely impressive. This was already discovered by the 1500s at least, when Baldassare Castiglione coined the term "Sprezzetura", which is the art of making everything you do appear effortless and nonchalant no matter how difficult it actually was. It's probably a natural instinct that existed long before Castiglione wrote it down, but he coined that term, at least. This was all to create an impressive and likable air about oneself that makes him favorable to the court, but it carries over into all human endeavors in which one might be judged (which is literally all of them), I think.
>being effortless is attractive
If you put it on any diagram this means that effort is disgusting. Especially if "being effortless" is some inate instinctual thing, and thus common.
You might be right, but I honestly don't care enough to get into pedantic muck about it. Just wanted to spend 30 seconds of my day possibly helping confused anons. You've turned it into a minute, well done.
You're welcome
I appreciate you anon, might get into reading renaissance books now, its interesting to see what people's observations on society were then and how similar (or not) they are to today's one
>reddit
>woman
I have never got any woman saying anything bad about me going to gym. Also you are all homosexuals who have never even talked to a woman. Woman will like you weird hobby of she likes you. My sister never was a war machines models building fan but her husband acquired that hobby and she build them along with him and talked about me how cool it was
>woman are just shallow and copy your hobby
No you dipshit. All humans copy each other's hobbies. I started lifting partiality because my friends were lifting. Learn to interact with people in meaningful ways. Maybe it'll help you stop being delusional incels.
goddamnit I need to rewatch golden boy
reminder if someone asks you what you're doing just say you "try to get to the gym once in a while"
It's only gross if you're a gross person with gross thoughts that exacerbate your gross appearance.
It's the same reason women care about height. Women are extremely shallow. Much more than men. They want men who have good bodies due to genetics, and they hate when a man cheats the system by actually working for a good body
It's not just appearance they want a guy who is effortlessly successful in everything
which all makes sense when you consider the fact that monogamy is an aberration and their genes would rather join into the absolute best mate option's harem
