carb cycling feels like cheating
> workout day
> pancakes for breakfast + strong coffee , lucnh meat with potatoes + whatever sweets if you want and fruits
then on rest days eat low carb
> eggs for breakfast , meat for lunch , cottage cheese for evening
it honestly feels like cheating something , my strength is going up while body is recompositioning.
if you are natty and not doing this i pity you fools
The placebo effect is strong.
Carb cycling is great for some people, others will find it too burdensome. I used it to great effect. I recommend Lyle McDonald's Ultimate Diet 2.0 for a good book that explains both the anatomical rationale and a practical implementation.
thanks for non meme answer
why
no way that is 3 months butthole
Yeah dude, it`s called eating the right amount of carbs according to your needs.
You want the high carb energy on workout days but don`t need it on rest days.
If you eat less carbs than you need, you can`t reach your full workout volume potential and if you eat more carbs than you need, the body will deposit more fat and parasites will feed on it.
this
you're really just doing CICO
there's always some boring guy who has to bring up CICO
OP literally says he eats more food after a workout and less food after sitting on his ass
Keto diets can be effective for losing fat, but they can also make it difficult to build muscle. This is because carbohydrates are essential for muscle growth. When you are on a keto diet, your body enters a state of ketosis, where it burns fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates. This can lead to a decrease in insulin sensitivity, which can make it difficult to build muscle.
Carb cycling is a way to get the best of both worlds. On high-carb days, you give your body the carbohydrates it needs to build muscle. On low-carb days, you burn fat and improve insulin sensitivity. This can help you build muscle while still getting leaner.
There is some evidence to suggest that carb cycling can be more effective for muscle growth than a traditional keto diet. In one study, people who followed a carb-cycling diet gained more muscle and lost more fat than people who followed a traditional keto diet.
Of course, the best way to find out if carb cycling is right for you is to try it and see how it works. If you are looking to build muscle while still getting lean, carb cycling is worth considering.
Here are some additional benefits of carb cycling:
Increased energy levels
Improved athletic performance
Reduced risk of muscle loss
Improved insulin sensitivity
If you are interested in trying carb cycling, there are a few things you need to keep in mind:
Make sure you are getting enough protein. Protein is essential for muscle growth, so you need to make sure you are getting enough of it on both high-carb and low-carb days.
Track your calories and macros. This will help you make sure you are eating enough calories and the right balance of macronutrients on each day.
Listen to your body. If you feel tired or sluggish on low-carb days, you may need to increase your carb intake.
With a little planning and effort, carb cycling can be a great way to build muscle and get lean.
don't ask what your calories can do for your carbs, but what your carbs can do for your calories
might look great on the outside, but is it better than just straight up keto on the inside. very hard to tell, scans for visceral fat are hard to get. whats the visceral fat composition like? what is the arterial damage from the carb load?
i am willing to entertain the idea of carb loading but i am still watching the research on that. overall if you are patient enough its not necessary if you have the right genes. can just go straight keto and lift and look great
my intuition simply says that as natty we are already handicapped at gaining considerable amount of muscle , so just keto and lifting is not using enough leverage to gain most amount of muscle and with carb cycling you get improved insulin sensitivity and response to carbs when needed so you build muscle while still getting leaner or just as leanish
i view increasing brain power and IQ to be the ultimate goal. when you do it like that your life becomes a lot more interesting. physical fitness has diminishing returns and also there are important aspects of physical fitness like cardio which don't really produce a lot of tangible results.
if one can redirect their energy into learning another language or whatever that increases their neuroplasticity, or learn how to really actually trade and actually make money (quite rare) and so forth. the actual end results will carry deeply into old age
now of course you want to get as big as you can. but i can see how carbs can get in the way of the legacy goals. its important not to waste time and one could get sucked back into carb cravings and lose all sorts of progress. but with all temptations destroyed by keto then that is a hard floor on how much you can fail.
we share same goals. i stay sober , don't smoke , fast and work-out and currently on 60 day nofap/noporn/semen retention. always on the look out to improve too. any ideas?
i would spiritualize your no fap to give it meaning, look up "the perfect matrimony" book by glorian publishing. look up fireinabottle on youtube. study prebiotics and how butyrate relates to beta hydroxybutyrate. seriously consider the value of restrictions and boundaries. consider the scale of values those can provide. holiness in a way is proper restrictions in place. unholiness is a lack of those restrictions until divinity cannot remain. really if your goal is IQ then you dont want to set your limitations in any way that is similar to all the people around you, you want to be well above them. this is what nietzsche's superman was about...
Breakfast and lunch with cars before or after workout? Or it is doesn't matter? Because lately I only can train in the morning fasted or with light breakfast
both before and after workout are essential , evening eh if you want to gain more muscle you have full day of high carb if you are strictly about recomposition i guess you could return to low-carb on evenings too
>mfw Work takes Energy
weirdly I've anecdotally noticed that while low carb works, if I have a few simple carbs I tend to lose weight. You can't eat only simple carbs but it's like the body flushes fat or something
sometimes ill pig out on a 50 gram carb bag of beef jerky or something because im working 19 hours that day and when i am commuting i have like 3 minutes to grab food for the day / not allowed to leave the building after getting to other job. i used to notice the carb = lost body weight thing when i was higher on the BMI but it seems to be losing its effectiveness.
weight in general is a less useful metric, i basically eyeball myself in the mirror and am always just looking for subtle changes. some progress is just slow. but as long as you are able to hold the foundations of the progress in place, it can be impressive in the end
>eat energy to prepare for a day of intense energy expenditure
>avoid unnecessary every when resting
>HURRPPH HURRPPH ITS A CYCLE BRO!! IM CARBOCYCLING!!!!1
When did we need to use these stupid words
humans communicate using words , certain concepts are better grasped when given branding.
are you ape
>Carbs give you energy
Wow I didn't need a fricking PhD to understand that, nor did I need to give it some stupid branding.
sounds like you are not educated
You sound like a woman who lets terms like "carb cycling" delude herself into giving up on her fitness goals, it's much easier to tell yourself you stopped "carb cycling" than it is to say you just can't stop stuffing your pig face.
You probably have wasted a lot of money on supplements that fitness magazines are selling you.
this is such a weird thing to get autistic about. people use words to describe things. eating different food on a specific schedule matched up with your workout routine is a concept that's useful to describe. what's your first language?
