Millet or quinoa apparently. According to that other thread.
Homemade whole grain sourdough bread
This with at least 50% whole grain can't be beaten.
If I eat freshly baked wholegrain bread from my local bakery is that good?
Are strawberries ok?
strawberries are the lettuce of fruits IIRC. they're literally poison
Wh-whats wrong with lettuce anon
They retain a lot of pesticides, like strawberries. If you eat organic then it isn't a problem.
Organic fruits and vegetables are treated with pesticides.
probably fruits, but im a poorgay and cant meet my calories with fruits only
Fruits are mostly sugar which is not good, berries and vegetables are far superior
There is no difference between sugar and carbs, because carbs are sugar and sugar is carbs.
actually there is you moron
starches=muscle glycogen storage, sugars=liver glycogen storage
guess which one is infinitely more important for athletic performance
>fruits are mostly sugar
fruits = fructose + fiber + vitamins
sugar = sucralose (empty carbs)
yeah and fructose is just as worthless as sucralose for performance
fruits are good for you because of the fiber and vitamins and in spite of the fructose
sugar is sucrose, not sucralose morons
>sugar = sucralose
lmeo
And it still gets broken down in your gut before reconstituted by your bodies according to needs.
>sugars=liver glycogen storage
Wrong.
not all rectangles are squares but all squares are rectangles

For me, it's sweet potatoes.

what's good homie
milk
poison invented by asians to keep white man down
fruits, honey, sourdough bread, potatoes
fruits, honey, maple syrup, sourdough bread, potatoes, white rice, table sugar.

the Japanese diet will always be #1 in my heart
>best potatoes
>miso soup
>fish heavy meals
90% of the reason they're healthy is because they don't overeat/portion sizes are small
I don't disagree, and while they do have their share of unhealthy foods they also have a ton of great options regularly available. I lived in Japan for 2.5 years and even their convenient stores have so many healthy foods available compared to the US.
yeah, Jap's obesity rate is low as frick but beetus is off the charts
ice cream homie
i'm more of a soda guy myself, Peat-Sensei
The ones that haven't been doused in cancer caused herbicide
do they spray this shit on sweet potatoes or rice
Everything
They spray fricking everything, because the plants they are harvesting are genetically altered to not die from their chemicals.
Pic related is another one, and it fricks with frogs' endocrine system so bad that males were turning into literal female frogs capable of having eggs.

Frogs can change gender regardless of chemicals, anon.
didn't realize Alex Jones posted here
Are humans frogs
They’re all healthy
White rice.
It's the least inflammatory source of carbs.

All carbs break down to sugar in your gut. Complex carbs simply delay the reaction as your body has to break it down which is why complex carbs will provide you with a lower, more steady blood sugar level compared to simple carbs which will spike you and leave your system fairly quickly.
so are they good or not
Tubers like sweet potatoes tend to line up better with our micro nutrient requirements. So I would say those.
Low glycemic index is best. Glycemic index is based off how slowly the food will break down and digest.
Therefore a ball of steel-cut oats frozen in liquid nitrogen is your healthiest carbohydrate.
>What's the healthiest source of carbs?
"healthiest" is a bit of a misnomer because there are no healthy carbs
Depends what dietary philosophy you are following.
Rice has the least antinutrients out of all grains, so when its paired with meat its pretty awesome fuel.
White bread is also pretty good, and has more micros than rice. Bread gets a bad rap because american bread is poisoned with seed oils, iron, vitamin A, and other nasty additives that cause all sorts of health problems. However if you get fresh baked bread with minimal ingredients, then its actually superior to rice.
Potatos and oats are pretty decent as well, but oats have more antinutrients, and potatos have solanine.
Following the "wisdom of the crowd" and "wisdom of ancient cultures" logic, white rice is the best carb from the asian side of the world, and white bread is the best carb from the european side of the world.
If things like brown rice and barley bread were really superior, they would likely have been adopted as the standard.
High IQ post
Why do Americans eat goyslop bread anyway? Can't they just walk to the local bakery and get a fresh baked loaf each day?
Local bakeries rarely sell loaves of bread. They mostly sell pastries
Most people don't have the need or finances to buy bread every day.
Mine does, but see above. Most couples might go through a single loaf of bread in a week. Most families might go through two, maybe.
It's also a factor that most cities in America are not walkable, and most people don't live in big, walkable cities. It's not a case of "walking to your local bakery," it's a case of, "let me go out of my way to visit the local shops and pick up some bread while I'm running other errands after work."
>Most people don't have the need or finances
isnt bread the cheapest carb out there
nah, you can get 5lbs of potatoes for the same price as one load of bread
I'm clearly talking about purchasing a new loaf of fresh bread every day from a local bakery.
>a new loaf
>every day
This homie eating 1200 calories of bread a day
>Can't they just walk to the local bakery and get a fresh baked loaf each day?
Stop being selectively moronic.
Don't > me
I'll > you all I want, b***h. <3
>Most couples might go through a single loaf of bread in a week. Most families might go through two, maybe.
When I eat bread once a day, I eat as much as an American family, yet I weight 1/3 of what an American weighs, how come?
>If things like brown rice and barley bread were really superior, they would likely have been adopted as the standard.
That has more to do with taste than health, anon. Romans were drinking and eating out of lead for centuries and figured out what was poisoning them.
Never figured out*
>If things like brown rice and barley bread were really superior, they would likely have been adopted as the standard.
This is flawed reasoning. Humanity has also utilized drugs and alcohol for millennia despite their potential harm and addictive qualities, illustrating that widespread use is not always a reliable indicator of what is healthiest or most beneficial. Preferences for certain foods often have more to do with factors such as cultural tradition, ease of production, taste preference, and economic accessibility, rather than their nutritional superiority.
Potato’s and millet bread (if they haven’t added garbage to it)
And fruit. Sourdough bread could possibly be good depending what it’s made from, common grains are generally bad for you
Any and all whole plants and grains. Just eat ‘em varied
spelt by far
couscous
meat
Buckwheat, quinoa, millet
Fruits. They are packed with micro-nutrients.
I like to pair kidney beans with citrus or kiwi fruit
