>cheaper than buying raw chicken
>Is already prepared
>Bones are pretty easy to remove
Is this the ultimate cheap protein life hack? Mall centers sell these at a loss with the hope that people come and buy other things, you could buy one of these every few days, shred it to remove the bones and use it through the days for lots of cheap protein, rinse and repeat

>cheaper than buying raw chicken
Generally not the case. You should be buying thighs anyway.
It is almost everywhere, is around 30% cheaper than buying a raw chicken and you don't even need to cook it yourself
That's cause it's the chicken that'd go bad (*worse, honestly). They're selling you dumpster food they cooked and you're proudly buying it.
Find a decent farm, buy meat from them, have a chest freezer. Or if you're a chad like me, raise your own. Chickens, rabbits, and goats. Really not that hard to care for, tons of recurring free protein from laying and milking, tons of meat from the rabbits that literally frick like rabbits and any other animal you decide to cull or harvest. Just brine the rabbits first, you're missing out if you don't. Your dogs will also love you during slaughtering/butchering season.
>I live like its the 1800s and think I'm superior for it
Seriously frick off. Nobody exists like you in a 1st world country that isn't a huge fricking loser.
He very likely is.
You're a crab in a bucket.
Hand wring elsewhere.
I can feel the seething from here.
>t saving to have enough land for my own livestock
cool story, I'm saving enough to never have to work again.
This is the most nothing brag ever. "One day I might have land!" gets you no cred anywhere in the world.
I want to do that but I'm a rentcuck
>a raw chicken
That's the trick - you shouldn't be buying a single chicken, which will end up being ~30% bone weight. You should buy large packs of thighs or breasts, which ultimately comes down to less $/lb of actual meat, and is easier to cook than a full bird.
It isn't though moron. Costcos chickens are a loss lead. When you pay 2.99/lb for chicken you are buying like 50% water. The thighs will sweat and shrink while cooking. Plus bones are useful, you make actual broth from it and ingest the collagen. A costco chicken is like 3lb, making the cooked product 0.60/lb.
Why are people so obessed with chicken breasts?
Because it's been the diet fad for a while.
Why are people obsessed with cheap, high protein, low fat, extremely versatile food?
This board gets more moronic every day.
The American government told people fat is bad and morons believed it just like they believed in the clotshots.
>low fat,
See? morons still believe in low-fat diets simply because the government hasn't told them otherwise.
These same people will line up for the next mRNA jab.
Eating low fat proteins doesn't mean you believe in low-fat diets you fricking idiot. Some low fat diets like PSMF work great, and you can't eat thighs or wings. This is a body-building board not a weight watchers board.
You can see thats an entire chicken not just the breast right?
its mainly white people who are obsessed with chicken breasts. they think dark meat is "below them" or something. i remember growing up my white mother would only cook chicken breasts and i always wondered why chicken was so bland and tough. then i started eating thighs and realized the problem.
the funny thing is that thighs are easier to cook, cheaper, and taste better. since then i have tried to make my mother chicken thigh dishes and she literally will refuse to eat it
Your mother is a moron so are her offspring. Don’t act surprised.
I'm white and have literally always preferred the dark meat. Nearly everyone I know is white, it's about a 50/50 split when it comes to white or dark meat preference.
The main reason people don't buy the dark meat at stores is that it rarely comes deboned and the bone intimidates a lot of people for some reason.
>my personal anecdote means it's the norm
Breasts are definitely the most popular especially with whites while minorities usually prefer dark meat. But yes it probably does have to do with being bone-in. I know that was a thing my mother would always bring up "omg it has the bone in it, this is so annoying"
Yes a breast cooked well is very good, the problem is that chicken breasts are extremely easy to overcook and give very little leeway because once they get slightly overcooked they usually turn out bad. I've also run into the issue of chicken breasts getting that really weird texture like rubbery and pull apart, never had it happen with thighs
The bone is what makes it joocy
>t. non white
>my white mother would only cook chicken breasts and i always wondered why chicken was so bland and tough
badly seasoned and cooked? A well cooked joocey chicken breast is goated
Maybe I’m fat but I when I buy these I eat all the limbs first and then get through the breast by the end of the next day. Quality drops quickly; it just has a nasty smell when it isn’t fresh anymore
at uni I would go to asda at 3am and buy a whole roast chicken from the rotisserie and eat it in the car park outside while it was still hot, did this at least 3 days a week for 2 years
I get these remove the breast and thighs then makes chicken soup
These are costco Rotisserie chickens you fricking moronic Black folk. Costco sells them at a 3 dollar loss to attract customers, and they're about 2x bigger than your normal rotisserie chicken. Absolute best 5 bucks you can spend.
than buying raw chicken
Maybe at Costco but everywhere else it's more expensive
those chickens are their loss leaders. its so cheap because it brings people in to buy them and then they buy OTHER stuff that they make actual money on.
Also consider your membership price
way to much sodium
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Enough sodium to shut down you kidneys . Enjoy your body wasting away in a hospital bed on dialysis
costco gays are the dumbest and most unaesthetic and most balding group of shoppers on the planet
I got huge in college when I was poor and could only afford the $5 rotisserie from the local grocery
Biggest gain in mass I've ever experienced
>$5.00
i can get five massive chicken breasts for $8.00
my costco was selling 8 chicken leg quarters for $5. honestly so fricking value
I would eat the hell out of these, but they put in additives. If you don't care about that stuff have at it
