Chronic migraines, what do?

>chronic migraine
>doctors say there's nothing I can do to mitigate it
>constant brainfog
>painful headaches at random times
There's no way right? There's a diet or something I can do? I already lift, but it's getting hard as I skip more and more days due to horrible migraines. Should I just end it?

This plus kelp, magnesium and cut out caffeine.

      Doing these already. But thanks.

Stop smoking, brisk 1,5h walk every day. No sugars except fruits. No cured meets. No slop.
Had 3 day long head aches 5 to 8 times a month. Implemented steps above an got down to one 1 day head ache every 8 to 10 weeks.
BTW: Ibuprofen and Aspirin do absolutely nothing for these kinds of pains.

Alright, gonna be doing all of these, appreciated.

is taking Ibuprofen or other meds on an empty stomach actually bad for you? I thought it just could give you an upset stomach or something.

Nah, it's just the idea that you're throwing so much shit in yourself before allegedly going about your day like there's nothing wrong that's the alarming part.

Last year I started having sensations in my head and I genuinely felt like I was having a stoke/aneurysm and was fatigued and off work for a month +, MRI said it was completely clear and not to worry about it. Here's what I did to make sure I rid myself of all those symptoms.
      >Hydration - Take it seriously, seriously.
      >Sleep - 8 hours or whatever your body needs but don't constantly be short changing yourself on this it's extremely important.
      >Diet - Eat all the stuff you know is good and avoid slop for the most part.
      >Caffeine - Remove this demon from you diet instantly, nothing good comes from this stimulant, it doesn't give you energy it makes your brain work overtime.
      >Exercise - Cardio and lifting, both of these will help clear the brainfog but for me cardio works better for it.

If you are still struggling then you've got cancer or some shit, hope you didn't take the vax (I did and the doctor said my symptoms could be related to that).

      >Caffeine - Remove this demon from you diet instantly, nothing good comes from this stimulant, it doesn't give you energy it makes your brain work overtime.
Man I wish I knew this before. Before starting, I had a severe caffeine binge due to stress at work. Genuinely probably took decades off my life for no fricking reason.
      >If you are still struggling then you've got cancer or some shit
I had a bunch of tests done. MRIs, blood work, multiple neurologist visits. I hope it's not cancer.

Too often and it will actually give you an ulcer. Learned this the hard way when I started shitting blood. I mean, it won't kill you if you're not an idiot, but it definitely sucks for a few months.

Look, I'm a guy who was shitting blood, there's only so much I can tell you. This was way back when I was living entirely on alcohol, caffeine, and roiling sexual impulse, dosages weren't something I was keeping track of.

it's interesting how in the 1940s everyone thought hyponatremia was gonna kill everyone and water should be avoided during exercise and severely limited to basic hydration afterwards.
now you have the opposite where everyone overhydrates to an extreme as if it is healthy and what's always been done.

NSAIDs will give you painless ulcers in your stomach and GI tract, they bleed but are rarely pathogenic unless you have cirrhosis.

most of what you've said is a meme for brain health, what matters the most is high quality sleep. practice good sleep hygiene.

I've quit it for around 2-3 weeks without any improvements.
      [...]
No aura. There's a few consistent triggers, namely computer time, swinging side to side (like in one of those hammocks), and certain rhythmic noises. Driving or travelling, sleep deprivation. And pretty much anything that makes me feel bad just kinda goes straight into a migraine. It's annoying.

sounds like a lack of self-regulation, homosexual.

Can you please elaborate on this? I'm not reliant on it (2-3 cups per day) and I don't drink it immediately in the morning (I wait 1.5 hours always). I care about my brain health a lot, so if this is bad for me, I'll quit... But what's your experience? Why are you so against it to put it on the same level as good diet and sleep? I'd love to know

I've never been big on coffee but I used to love energy drinks and if I tasted one now I would love to drink them. I could literally feel the caffeine instantly go into my body and I could feel being perked up by it and felt so much more focused, however the crash always came and I always wanted more. When I had my brain symptoms last year was when I was drinking the most caffeine per day of my life, 2 cans of white monster and 1 can of small red bull a day. I know thats an extreme ammount but I compare my health now to my health then and it's night and day for me.
        >Sleep
I've always struggled with sleep, since cutting it out and really focusing on good sleep hygeine I've improved this massively.
        >Fatigue
I don't really 'crash' during the day or when my caffeine was wearing off anymore, just eat fruit if I need a bit of energy.
        >Tired after waking up
I just get up now and I'm ready to go, I go straight to the gym and just feel awake. I don't crave any drink to wake me up.
        >Breath/teeth
There are no caffeine drinks that are good for your dental hygeine, coffee breath is awful and energy drinks frick your teeth even the sugar free ones.
        >Actual energy from caffeine
This is my own opinion not backed by science but I don't feel caffeine gives you actual energy, there are no calories in it it's just purely a stimulant. This means that your brain is just working overtime with the resources available and so it leads to the crash later on. IMO this is no way to treat your body as you are just permanently pushing it into the red. I'd rather just be tired and fatigued naturally as that is my body telling me something rather than trying to force it through if it really is fatigued. Just look at all the health effects of working night shift, it's bad for your body because it's unnatural, I think caffeine consumption is similar.

I'm sure people can use it in moderation, but for me I prefer life without it.

Just want to add, there are numerous scientific papers warning about the consumption of caffeine and plenty of videos you can watch to show the damage it does. Don't just take my word for it.

      1. Magnesium
      2. Zinc
      3. Omega 3 (not sure if these do anything)
      4. B complex
I live on a farm, so most of my diet is these
      1. Eggs
      2. Greek yoghurt
      3. Homegrown chicken, with some store bought (yet still local) beef
      4. Random assortment of veggies

What fricking doctor said this? There's a giant list of preventative medications for migraines so much so it's a specific speciality in neurology. Go see a neurologist and not some dumb primary.

I worded it like a moron, I saw a neurologist and was put on propranalol. It made the pain slightly less debilitating, but not much else. I'm still on daily headaches, with topamax being the alternative that will make me even more moronic (if possible).

        >2. Zinc
For me, zinc supplementation causes mild depression/fatigue after a short while of commencing, and if continued leads daily low level headaches which are worse 24 hours after a workout.

Holy shit anon, have you seriously not considered that a little computer basically inside your head emitting radiation directly to your brain won't cause you a headache?
Also, you could be getting headaches from excessive blue light exposure from computer/phone screens, i advice you to add a bluelight filter to your screens and also get yourself anti blue light glasses, as the filters could not be enough for cases of long exposure

Propranolol never works and Topamax doesn't make everyone tired but it is common in particular the first few weeks still the point remains but those are far from the only options and you have a lot more you can try. But if those are actually the only options he's listing get a new doctor.

It has been a few years since I last had a migraine but weed was a very effective way to reduce the pain. Smoked some as soon as the fricked up light-show started and could just power through the rest of the day.
This is not a dude, weed, lmao smoke everday cuz it's like good for you post by the way, haven't smoked in years but I remember reading somewhere that weed helps lower pressure in the eyes which can be a cause/is somehow connected to migraines.

Check with a dentist to see if you have TMJ - it's a major cause of migraines that often goes undiagnosed because regular doctors don't know shit about how your jaw impacts the rest of your health.

They would be checking to see if your jaw muscles are working correctly. If the muscles that move your jaw are jacked up it puts a lot of stress on your skull that can lead to painful headaches.

You probably have high blood pressure, caffeine thins the blood reducing the pressure in your head. This is why people suffer headaches as a result of caffeine withdrawal.
