CICO is the equivalent of telling people eating 20 chocolate cakes a night is bad. I actually cant comprehend people being this dense.

You gain/lose weight by mass in/mass out
Your body composition is determined by hormones
    CICO is irrelevant
    >b-but that actually is still CICO!
What’s the fricking point of arguing for CICO if everything you disagree with is still CICO to you?

You gain and lose weight by calories consumed dipshit. CICO is this fact wrapped into a fancy name and diet for absolute brain dead people who somehow cant grasp the concept.

      > Your body composition is determined by hormones
      >CICO is irrelevant

But i can shitpost “cico” and spam it everywherr like a parrot. You need a trendy acronym for your hormone argument. Like “CAC” calories aren’t calories. Then braindead shitposters will meme it everywhere like cico

if only your hormones were in check, this wouldn't happen to you.

      >Your body composition is determined by hormones
moronic take on par with saying your thyroid or genes make you fat. Excess calories you don't burn make you fat. Just because your body stores it in different places depending who you are doesn't somehow magically mean the fat isn't there.

Body composition can be determined by hormones, but mostly in the other direction. Your body can malfunction and fail to extract nutrients from food, causing you to lose weight despite eating. It cannot however magically extract more energy from food than it actually has and make you fatter. A healthy body is already very efficent at extracting energy from edible foods.

This is common sense. A fricked up car can stop running despite having a full tank of gas. It can't make the gas last longer, however.

        nta but it literally does
I lifted for 5+ years and looked like shit, had hypothyroidism and low test, started TRT and taking t4+t3, I made more progress in a couple of months than I did the last 2 years.
        >but you are a special case
probably true but more and more people have fricked hormones nowadays and they need to be informed.

You fill a car with enough petrol for 10 miles, you have a spare can for 5 extra miles in your car.
You drive 10 miles and you run out, so you have to start using the spare can of petrol in your car to keep going.
      This is cico.

Really? No fence? Someone could die

        >You fill a car with enough petrol for 10 miles
how do you determine the amount of petrol you need to 10 miles?

          Anonymous

The same way your car determines how many more km you can go with your current tank

          Anonymous

You fill your tank, you drive 100 miles, you measure how much is in your tank and you divide by 10.

Used to know a lady that ran a guest house nearby, who reckoned that every now and then they would get a guest check in, and then not check out again..
Apparently friends and relatives would sometimes turn up afterwards, and almost try to blame her for not preventing it..

Your body is not a nuclear furnace. It's a chemical plant. The process by which your body converts chemical energy to other forms of energy is literally the same as when you light something on fire. That's why it's called burning calories. You idiot.

Fasting month is approaching. Inshallah, I will demonstrate CICO to you infidels by lowering my weight through reduced food consumption (all the while training less, relying entirely on lower calorie intake).

I think he is talking about lent, which starts in 3 weeks. Ramadan is still 2 months off.

And lent is fricking awesome. Savouring the last jelly doughnut, before I start my lent with 5 day water fast. Perfect cut, last year I was able to lose 9kg in 47 days (86kg to 78kg at 183 cm).

      This year I'm quitting:
      >alcohol
      >weed
      >sugar
      >music
      >cumming

      And adopting:
      >strict OMAD, with boring meals (meat, boiled or baked potatoes, steamed vegetables and soups),
      >dry fasting on Fridays,
      >a decent cardarine and ostarine cycle to help with the cut and protect the nonexistens winter gains.

most people when talking about CICO they only focus on the "CI" and not the "CO".
you can eat 5x your maintenance and still lose weight because of the "CO".

    fun fact
shit is burned to estimate the average calories of it. this is then used to calculate the actual calories of food.
works a charm on average, but fails to work for people whith higher or lower calorie shit.

cows can get fat as frick only eating grass.
    try that as a human.
counting calories alone is not going to work for everyone. it is important to know how much of the calories you eat you actually take up.

      >it is important to know how much of the calories you eat you actually take up.
This. At the end of the day empirical testing and experimenting with your own body will find the exact amounts you need to eat or not eat to gain or lose weight at the rate you want. Anyone that's lost a substantial amount of weight or done a bulk knows this.

    The sea is calm tonight.
The tide is full, the moon lies fair
Upon the straits; on the French coast the light
Gleams and is gone; the cliffs of England stand,
Glimmering and vast, out in the tranquil bay.
Come to the window, sweet is the night-air!
Only, from the long line of spray
Where the sea meets the moon-blanched land,
Listen! you hear the grating roar
Of pebbles which the waves draw back, and fling,
At their return, up the high strand,
Begin, and cease, and then again begin,
With tremulous cadence slow, and bring
The eternal note of sadness in.
