There is much more to our bodies health than that. If you dont get the actual nutrients you need from healthy food you're gonna look like shit, smell like shit, hurt like shit, perform like shit, recover and build muscle like shit.
If you took two twins that were at the same size, made one follow an unhealthy diet (but make sure he burns the same among of calories through his workout) and the other follow a healthy diet, you'd see tremendous differences in how they look & perform & develop over the years.

Bodybuilders who workout ~4+ hours a day but dont make ANY effort to eat healthy are amongst the biggest LARPers of this world. Like they dont know how much greater they could be if they'd just quit filling their mouths with shit. You CANNOT pretend you're some sort of tenacious guy who is willing to work & sacrifice in order to become the strongest like your favorite anime character, while at the same time being unwilling to quit eating fricking mcdonalds.

Its very evident that just being a bodybuilder with a big body does not make you a fricking health expert nor even a healthy person inherently. Why do all these bodybuilder influencers not realize this?         Correct. It’s about prioritizing calorie intake, however that also mean doing a little math to ensure you’re getting your protien and other macros.

        In terms of micronutrients, not that those aren’t important but they really only make up 5-10% of the equation when it comes to weight loss. If you’re trying to count calories, it’s in your best interest to eat healthy foods anyway since you can fill yourself up more, so you’ll likely get a lot of those anyway through diet. The rest you can get through supplements

    Nobody in the right mind actually says eating donuts is healthy as long as you’re in a deficit. If you’re trying to stay in a deficit, if anything you’re more inclined to want to eat healthy food since it’s lower calories and you can eat more.

    CICO deniers are the ones who can’t stop indulging themselves. They say it doesn’t work because they can’t stop themselves from eating long enough to see any real results.
