A portion of the population is unironically addicted to sugar, just because you can keep it to one drink doesn't mean you can tell an alcoholic they can do the same. Some people can't have any. For some people one donut leads into a bowl of ice cream.

CICO is an invention of the sugar industry.

All mainstream health advice is crafted by big sugar and big pharma.

You're replying to a sugar industry ad telling people that CICO is a "new approach to weight control". Without their advertising nobody would ever think about calorie measurements.

The sugar industry bragged about destroying traditional knowledge. Pic related. Traditional wisdom was that some foods are fattening (e.g. sweets, starches) and other foods are slimming.

It's not real health advice. It's a sugar industry hoax.

You can eat all the fried foods you want on an ad-lib low-carb diet. You just can't have breading.

For example deep fried naked chicken wings or deep fried steak are perfectly fine.

Deep fried steak is the best. Gets a perfect crust and keeps in the moisture.

You can get good steak cooked other ways but once you understand the principles of good steak you will conclude that deep frying is the best. It cooks from all sides evenly, reduces moisture loss, gets a crust on all the edges, doesn't overheat so there is no charred or burnt parts. If you barbecue you have to brush on fat for good results. If you pan fry you have to use tongs to fry all the edges or constantly spoon butter over the top.

I like to dry my steak in front of a fan before I deep fry it to make sure the fat touches the proteins for a perfect crust.

Paid advertising is so powerful it's amazing. You're not the only person who believes the supposed twinkie diet was a study. He never published any study. It was literally just paid advertising for Coca-Cola which was reported on by shill mainstream media outlets thanks to the connections that Coca-Cola had.

        >Eating what our ancestors ate is not a fad
Our ancestors lived to 40 on average due to the poor quality of life, lack of medicine, and limited options for nutrition.

          >Our ancestors lived to 40 on average

It is a bullshit statistic. When you remove infant mortality, most people lived to around 70 on average.

            Anonymous

That's only accounted for IF you made it to 21 without dying, which was already unlikely due to the high infantcide rate and the plethora of diseases that humans are susceptible to.

Your argument before was it was dietary or at least your framed it that way. Really it was stuff like tetanus and cholera killing people early. So besides not having shit in the water, food had nothing to do with the shorter life expectancy except when there was a lack of it.
