I thought I was getting this rash from going to the gym and using their mats, turns out you have to clean out your shower heads once a month because it builds up bacteria and gives you this shit when you shower if you have a micro abrasion of any kind.
This might be obvious to a lot but I didn't realize you had to clean it, I just thought like, the flowing water would "clean" it, turns out it just builds up scum and biofilm.
Kept going to a dermatologist and they just gave me antibiotics repeatedly, shit went away when I started sanitizing my shower head weekly. I feel like such a moron but also my derm is a moron for not mentioning it.

Also clean out your washing machine once a month by running a vinegar wash through it.
FYI because nobody seems to tell you shit, regular detergent doesn't magically sanitize clothes and actually leaves a residue on the clothes if you use fragrance shit, this residue causes bacteria growth, the only way to "sanitize" laundry is by drying on high heat, using bleach, or using lysol detergent.
Try to do one of those 3 things when you wash gym clothes if you get body pimples or skin infections and with bedding.
i clean my washer once a month with the tabs but have never ever cleaned my showerhead in the six years i've owned my house. i do get a lot of back and shoulder pimples not quite as bad as pic related.
I use the cleaning packets from tide and it does a great job to clean the washer.
Real shit I have learned recently is to add some pinesol to your detergent.
My clothes have never been cleaner or smelled better for longer. I prefer the Lidl version but actual PineSol is still good and cheaper in large volumes.

It's okay anon. I also grew up in a shitty home. The easiest way to clean your shower head is to get a small plastic bag and fill it with vinegar. Put the shower head into the bag so it is submerged and use a rubber band to secure in place. Leave it for an hour and then run the hottest water you have through it. You can also use those tiny flossers with bristles to clean out the holes if that wasn't sufficient. I make lemon infused vinegar for cleaning which helps to break up oils/biofilm/grease.
