I weigh basically 190lb
I am a midget goblin (5'5"). Plan to get limb lengthening to be 5'10" eventually, but sadly I'm going to have to wait a while longer since I fricked up my finances (I literally had the fricking money, but whatever).

Anyways, I am muscular, but not exactly "big". Shouldn't I look big with my weight and height ratio? Short height should make it easier to bulk up, but I honestly feel like a 6'0" guy with my weight would look either the same or bulkier even. Actually ya.. this guy is 190lb, 6'4", AND looks like he has more mass than me. Makes no fricking sense. Like in terms of fricking physics, it makes no sense at all LMAO.
Maybe my body type makes my muscle more compressed? I know some people cheat with steroids, but it still makes no sense why at the same weight and with a height advantage (shorter = easier to bulk up), I STILL look so skinny in Comparison

      Not op but 5'6 anon here, the problem isn't about women, we can get women by minmaxing and being smart about it (except those with other big failings I guess), the problem isn't validation, it's not being able to speak with most men equal to equal, when someone is noticeably taller they just perceive you a certain way and there's in my experience nothing you can do to change it.

                there's no difference, you've got some rib flare and that's about as far as your definition goes, and the flare is likely from shit posture.

                you have a very wide waist which means you're able to carry a lot of fat without getting a muffin top, and you don't have pockets in your love handles, but you are quite fat with relatively normal muscle mass for someone who works out, and at higher bodyfat percentages you can also hold on to more size because it retains more water and glycogen.

                i.e someone with an ffmi of 21 at 30% bodyfat won't have an ffmi of 21 at 10%.

                Thank you for being objective. Helped me calm down. Anyways just being honest, but I haven't bench pressed since my teen years. No spotter. I've literally just been focusing on 60lb dumbbells and pullups with 45lb on my back. Different variations with dumbbells and pullups. Focusing on squats with my 2 60lb dumbbells too. I will look to go more hardcore later on, but not yet. Probably gonna eventually put like 165lb on my back for pushups too eventually. And for the pullups as well. I used to do 100 in a minute and 20 seconds with 45 lb on my back as a 16 yr old. Eventually plan to buy some vests and shit to wear all over my body too. I want to slowly try to become hardcore the way I was in my teen years.

                I mostly just stick to 60lb dumbbells (various exercises) and pullups with 45lb on my back atm. Will probably work on bicycle situps more often. Will be increasing the dumbbell weight throughout the year. My goal for now is to eventually be able to curl 110lb dumbbells.

                Not op but 5'6 anon here, the problem isn't about women, we can get women by minmaxing and being smart about it (except those with other big failings I guess), the problem isn't validation, it's not being able to speak with most men equal to equal, when someone is noticeably taller they just perceive you a certain way and there's in my experience nothing you can do to change it.

    Go onto yt and watch alphadestiny. You can go to his catalog of vids from when he was 180 or 190 and claimed he was 12 percent bodyfat and also his lean states where he dropped down to 150s multiple times. He looks much better at the lower weight. Even he was trolled for not realizing that he was actually fat at 180-190. Even he didn't admit .. until he cut and realized how fat he was.

    I know you posted a "bad pic" but compared to AD you don't look more muscular than he did at that same weight.

    It's 2023, i'm sure you can find a camera that will get you a better pic.

    Again, I'm no fan of AD but he is probably the best example of someone of similar height who held similar weight and has a body that is close to what you're looking for.

      The guy in the OP is 190 lbs at 8%, probably walks around at 210-220 lbs ~12% (still lean with full ab separation) and will be bulking to mid 200s bodyweight (250-260 lbs) before he loses his abs. Stage-ready bodybuilders lose a shitton of bodyweight, it's similar with fighters who just cut imminently

        Yea he is definitely lower bf than me but, and correct me if Im wrong here, shouldnt I still look bigger than him (not in muscle mass but just body size) seeing as I have more fat which is less dense than muscle and therefore takes up more volume.           low bodyfat makes you look bigger since it brings out muscle definition (it's a bit of an illusion). Also, you should always think in equivalent bodyweight seeing as a high-bf% skinnyfat 220 lbs guy will look smaller than an athletic 190 lbs by virtue of weight distribution - the skinnyfat guy will hold a lot in his gut while the athletic guy will have it in his shoulders/pecs/arms, making him appear bigger
