Counting calories/carbs from booze

Want to create a caloric deficit to account for the liquid joy. Specifically wine, beer, and whiskey. I don't drink every day, just most days. Tips/guides on how to count calories and carbs from booze?

And no, I won't stop drinking right now. Maybe eventually when I start seeing weight loss results and stop feeling like a depressed sack of shit daily.

Depends on the drink determines the carbs/alcohol to account for. All the information you need is readily available with a simple google search, try that first

That's the thing, anon. Lots of articles, but they don't cite sources so it feels like they are making shit up. The other problem is variety between drinks.

Should I just go by the USDA baseline? For a 5oz serving of red wine they say:
      >125kcal
      >3.9g carbs

I'd switch to just vodka because that's very easy to track, but I hear that's how I become an alcoholic for real.

The bottle should have all the info you need

Just look up their nutritional info? I don't get what the problem is.

Here's the funny thing about alcohol though (the actual alcohol part of it anyways). It can't be stored as fat. However, it is the most efficient source of fuel, so your body will prioritize using any alcohol in your system over anything else. That means whatever other calories/food you have in you can be stored as fat instead.

That is the secret for how you really get fat when you drink a lot. That and with lower inhibitions you are probably liable to consume more slop in the first place.

Also many drinks, especially beer, have a lot of carbs on their own.

You are either European or underage. Alcohol sold in USA is not "food" and thus does not have a legal requirement for presenting nutritional information. SOMETIMES a big corp will have that info on their website, but smaller producers are not going to bother.

          >FWIW I am trying to switch to edibles as a "low cal" alternative to getting that "inebriated" feeling, but that weed high isn't as good as getting drunk IMO.
I drank the last couple months like once a week and i aged so horribly. I legit got 2 wrinkles on my forehead that werent there before and when they got too noticeable i just said frick it and stopped. Atleast the edibles wont do that to you. Drinking is absolutely not worth it anymore after your mid 20s

          >Drinking is absolutely not worth it anymore after your mid 20s
Logically, yes, but it makes me feel good and relaxed very quickly. That's a hard feeling to quit when you feel stressed/sad most of the time. This is why I am trying to replace booze with "less bad" alternatives like edibles.

I do LSD. Healthier option, but the effects will take a long time to disappear

Does even wine have nutritional labels in Brazil? That's p cool, anon.
              >LSD
I'm too much of a cracker to find a dealer and I read too many horror stories about bad trips. Using edibles because at least it's legal in my state

Tbh opiates would be great a softer one like codeine but cant have that shit. Whenever i had opiates tho they just made me relaxed and content and helped me get my work done during the day. When i got off them it was like the flu for a week however.

              >opiates

opios are very good. too good perhaps. 10grams of preground nutmeg (not much) and 100-200mg of codeine few hours later is great for playing comfy vidya.

when people recommend stuff like this they mean a very small amount, like not enough to frick you up. if you have "one drink a day" unless youre a complete degen you aren't pounding a 750ml of vodka

very low dose benzo was the perfect sweet spot for me. chilled me out like alcohol but was still mentally and physically put together enough to do work. annoying they build a tolerance so quickly, had to cut them out cause it's a b***h to find legit ones.

      >Just look up their nutritional info
Only the biggest alcho producers publish that info. Some niche wine or whiskey maker won't bother paying for that study so the only available option is estimating calories and everyone seems to have a different formula for that (or just a ballpark like USDA).
      >It can't be stored as fat
You're saying that if I drink a bunch and then sit around for the rest of the day then the calories from alcohol will magically disappear at midnight? I know about "calorie priority", but calories from ethanol don't just magically "go away", lmao
      >consume more slop in the first place
Yup. That's why I just don't buy any sloppa. Can't eat it if I don't have it. And I don't do takeout because paying for DoorDash or w/e is gay.

FWIW I am trying to switch to edibles as a "low cal" alternative to getting that "inebriated" feeling, but that weed high isn't as good as getting drunk IMO.

Pretty much. Honestly I've never seem a alcohol drinker that wasn't horrid after 25.

        >they don't just magically "go away"
Correct, they don't just magically disappear at midnight. Your body uses/converts what it can before a few different metabolic processes finish breaking it down and eliminating it. It takes about five hours after consumption stops to get it all out of your system.

Yeah, I was just talking about the actual alcohol content. I don't know what OP drinks.

try low dose mushrooms. like .5g to 1g, rip them up and soak in lemon juice for 20 mins. way better than edibles.

depends how often you do em. takes like 4-5 days to reset your tolerance. but yeah you'll be tripping a little.

Depends what and how much you are drinking. Beer is much worse than shots. If not cutting alcohol, need to cut somewhere else and exercise enough to burn off all or some of the booze.
