I was getting maybe 1000-1500 calories a day while walking 2-3 hours with an active job while in highschool. End of day I was probably getting around 500 calories most days. I don’t know how I did it. Even a small cut a 500 calorie deficit makes me feel crappy these days. Back then it was almost effortless past the first few weeks.
