Crash dieting

I want to preface this thread by clarifying a few months ago I sorted my shit out, I’ve been eating right and tracking my calories. However I’ve been doing the tried and true safe approach of losing the weight slowly. I’m only down from 308lbs. I need to lose weight faster than 1-2lbs a week for a while. I’m trying very hard to get my shit together and fix my life and I’m simply too fat. I went shopping for interview clothes so I could escape neet and couldn’t find anything that fits. I’m 6’2” 290lbs I need to get to about 240 (ish) to fit into my old interview clothes.

What would be my best approach to lose this weight asap?

Potato diet of only 1000 calories a day? Water fasting? I’m looking to drop to 240lbs ASAP, then resume the slow cut. Purely so I can get a job escape neet and follow through with my plans to unfrick my life and undo the damages I’ve caused to it. What’s my best move here in terms of sustainability, safety, and efficiency?

    How about you stop doing things half arsed and actually aim to get properly in shape? Aim for 180 pounds and make sure you never fricking exceed 180 pounds again. Forget the gay potato diet - just eat clean on as many days as you can. Try to wake up and go as long as possible without eating. Fasting is good every so often but a fat desperate bastard like you would never manage it, try eating 1 or 2 meals a day instead.

    Do a protein sparing modified fast and lift weights. Since it's a low carb diet, lift weights no more than twice a week with about 5-6 days between each session.

      So just sat as little as I can, go as long as I can not eating, and walk a bunch. I can do that. Get back to lifting once I’m what, around 215lbs and close to normal human sized again?

          Look into Lyle McDonald’s PSMF rapid fat loss handbook I’m sure the info is out there for free in PDF form.
          He puts it into several camps by body fat %, but really only recommends doing it if you for example need to make weight off a powerlifting meet or bodybuilding comp (I.e. not someone who is 25%+) asap on short notice and still doesn’t really recommend it. But does detail how to approach it depending on body fat. I’m not there, had I cut normally before I stopped lifting and got this fat…. Or even just ran his PSMF for 6 weeks then slow cut another 3 months… oh well

    The fastest would be water fasting. Just make sure you're getting the minerals you need (snake juice) and ofc if you're going to try doing really long fasts you could probably talk to a doctor about it (although you may be able to just feel it out too). I've done up to 5 day fasts without consulting anyone and it was fine.

      A man can live for up to 60 days without food and only water. No snake juice or other gay supplements needed. A skinny guy couldn't do it that long of course, but a fat frick like you could certain go a long time without eating.

      Water fasting does not work. Weight loss overall to fix obesity has a very low success rate in the long term. Like < 10%. A low calorie diet would be more sustainable and actually doable.

    Keto is by far the best crash diet IF you aren't lifting weights.

    If you are lifting weights, then you should follow a high protein, moderate fat, low carb diet. Meat, eggs, Greek yogurt, cheese, vegetables, stuff like that.

    A high protein diet cannot be keto. Don't confuse keto with low carb.

    The potato diet is good if you want to age 20 years in three months because you deprived your body of nutrients by eating empty calories from starch. That's how sailors used to eat.

    You may as well eat sugar if you do that.

    Eating nutrient dense foods like eggs, beef, vegetables, olive oil, nuts, dairy is a way better way to go.

      what is the most nutrient dense thing I could eat when I do actually eat? Just a bowl of veggies? Some veggies and red meat and maybe an egg? I’m looking to make this the healthiest crash diet possible.

        Dude. Stop complicating things. Just eat things that you know to be healthy and avoid junk food. There's no point telling you what to eat because you know what to be from your schooling I'm sure. Just eat healthy and eat healthy thing that you actually want to eat. Eating some gay potato diet will get boring in a matter of days. Some days you might eat 2000 calories. Some days you may eat 1500. Some days you may eat 3000. Just make sure you're moving around enough to justify how much you're eating. Make a game of it. Do as much as you can on as little further as possible. Run on empty.

          walk a ton daily, go as long as I can not eating each day, only eat as little as I can manage on of veggies, steak, chicken, olive oil, and eggs. I’m throwing tuna and other fish into the mix too because I like it, and I’m stocked up on tuna atm. That’s all I’m consuming in as little as possible amounts for however long it takes me to be lean again.

    Omad no to low calories and water/black coffee worked wonders for me. People will say it's unsustainable but you can lose 4-5 pounds a week at your current weight if you add some physical activity. I lost 90 pounds in 4 months working 3 days a week at a warehouse and sitting around 4 days a week
