everyone should have a jump rope and an ab wheel imo. they're like 5 bucks each. jumping rope is godly cardio and ab wheel is unnecessary but you might want to add it to core workouts
>Power cage, cheapest one you can get, 299-399 >Barbell, try fb market, offerup, craigslist >start with 350lbs of plates, same as above >the cage has a pullup bar, can get cheap dip attachments, can attach gymnastics rings >adjustable bench 50-100$ >you dont need a minifridge, stop being a golem. drink filtered water at room temp. Get a berkey or some filter like that.
>forgot to add this: >jump rope >ab wheel >also whatever dumbells u can find for cheap, or get some olympic dumbells so you can use the same plates
Wat. My entire set up was less than 1000$ I sold a bunch of video games and systems to get it for less than 300$. Bought some plates as well with that money.
You don't buy it all at once.
Trade some shit, for some other shit.
Maybe sell some of them pokiman cards and buy plate weights and an olympic barbell.
The imaginery is funny, but I am talking about mundane shit like putting a metal tube through the strap to have a handle for bicep curls, putting a rope through it for facepulls etc.
The cheapest rings on amazon are 30$ + shipping, all that shit costs like 15 dollars tops, most it's just stuff you already have lying around your home. I do have rings but I don't use them anymore in my training ever since I built my handles, they are a lot more convenient and comfortable.
They consist in: a rope, a metal pipe, and some D handles made with chains and cut pvc pipes, I can do any pull movement with a super comfy grip.
>lightweight accessory movements
Yeah, good luck doing any serious work on that.
Yeah and what pull movement can you do on rings that are heavier?

>Yeah and what pull movement can you do on rings that are heavier?
it's only pull movements
Just admit that you're fat and can't use the rings anyway.

I said only pull movements because push movements on rings suck, the instability isn't good for hypertrophy and I stalled on dips, so I switched to weighted dips on a station (DIY of course) and weighted deficit push ups and I have been making progress ever since, that's why I don't see any added value in rings compared to my set up.

Or you can get an adjustable bench and spinlock dumbbells that go up to 100lbs each for $300
homgym'ggers, offer me your advices. >I have an old rusty craigslist bar >got it with a little over 350lbs of plates included with the bar for 350$ >is the type with a hex head bolt visible through each end >different sleeves on each side >like one side >hate other side >online searches have no idea what "sleeve" or "cuff" so what the frick
they're the only way to train the reverse of most movements >ie the down movement of the bar is easier than the up, it's fighting gravity to make you stronger, I don't get how people don't realize this
It's easier to put weights down than to pick them up? You do realize that if you add resistance bands to make the "putting down" harder you also take away from the weight of the bar itself thus making it pointless? IF you want to train your muscles with a more linear resistance curve than natural gravity that's one thing (a stupid thing, but still would be accomplished with a band).
You bought too much stuff. You have absolutely no need for any of that.
Show legs caligay
rack, barbell, weights and an adjustable bench
Rack/cage w/pins so you can, you know, lift
Why dont you just lift You are that homosexual that shows up to the gym with all the gear and you spend 3 hours playing with your phone.
training for hypertrophy and not strength btw, t. novice
that distinction barely matters at your level
good luck with your 20lbs dumbbells tho
you are overthinking just lift
If you could afford any sort of cable setup, that would be most beneficial.
You're covering most of it with the pullups bar, adjustable dumbbells and incline bench. Good job, OP
Although there is a correlation between the two, the distinction does matter, good on you for having clear goals from the start anon
also im on a budget
everyone should have a jump rope and an ab wheel imo. they're like 5 bucks each. jumping rope is godly cardio and ab wheel is unnecessary but you might want to add it to core workouts

well done
Dip bars
You can make your own TRX straps for like $10.
Worth every penny.
Assume you already have a squat plug?
16 kg kettlebell for swings and presses
I could swear I saw a video of a guy calling it a crip dip station
Replace the corn syrup soda with some $20 rings
Here you go. Everything you need.
My heavy bag is just out of frame.
move your rack to the left and you wont be smashing up your wall so much...
anon... do you lay your body THROUGH the cheap foldable metal chair when benching?
Why do you losers always need cringy text on the wall lmao.
how about some discipline to clean your room
home gyms make zero sense unless you're extremely rich

The half rack was less than 300$*
so it would take you 4 years for that investment to be worth it and that's not even accounting for the wasted space + missing equipment
The big advantage is that I won't have to lift near homosexuals like you though
The disadvantage is that you don't get to creep on the cardio bunnies.
Can do that in yoga class. If you want to be social, take part in those things.
DIY cable system, and most importantly a squat plug.
a dildo ?
It's a squat plug that assists with form, but that one's comically XL for powershitters.
>DIY cable system, and most importantly a squat plug
so you won't prolapse or something?
you can just make that out of pipe fittings for a fraction of the price
>Literally all you need.
They are overrated, buying a single strap and building some DIY handles with chains, ropes, tubes etc. is better and cheaper.
>local man found dead, suffocated from a home-made contraption, possibly the cause was auto-erotic asphyxiation
>more at 11
The imaginery is funny, but I am talking about mundane shit like putting a metal tube through the strap to have a handle for bicep curls, putting a rope through it for facepulls etc.
Or just buy some rings from Amazon for 20$ with 3 clicks that will serve you for the rest of your life.
The cheapest rings on amazon are 30$ + shipping, all that shit costs like 15 dollars tops, most it's just stuff you already have lying around your home. I do have rings but I don't use them anymore in my training ever since I built my handles, they are a lot more convenient and comfortable.

Yeah, good luck doing any serious work on that.
>$60 AUD
how broke are you?
Why should I buy something more expensive and less effective?
Show me your DIY handles then, I’m curious.
They consist in: a rope, a metal pipe, and some D handles made with chains and cut pvc pipes, I can do any pull movement with a super comfy grip.

Buy Olympic not 1inch stuff.
One of these landmine posts/attachments. Great for rows and presses.

he said he's building a "home gym"
You don’t need much
My home gym is a barbell with plates and two adjustable dumbbells.
homgym'ggers, offer me your advices.

What do you need a resistance band for anyways? I usually do pullups off of ledges or doors. How are you gonna train legs?
they're the only way to train the reverse of most movements
>ie the down movement of the bar is easier than the up, it's fighting gravity to make you stronger, I don't get how people don't realize this
Add more weight, problem solved
>gravity makes things easier one way and harder the other way
>Add more weight, problem solved
the problem is exactly the same moron
Add more weight and get stronger making the reverse crap that you talk about easier when you go back to the same weight.
It's easier to put weights down than to pick them up? You do realize that if you add resistance bands to make the "putting down" harder you also take away from the weight of the bar itself thus making it pointless? IF you want to train your muscles with a more linear resistance curve than natural gravity that's one thing (a stupid thing, but still would be accomplished with a band).
its to train the muscle in reverse, not to literally wrap bands around the bar while you do your bench press or whatever wtf kek
Then wtf are you talking about? Why not just train the muscles "in reverse" with weights? For instance doing ohp and then pullups.
treadmill desk to game/work and burn calories at the same time
Lat pull down machine is a must have. A little pricey, I got mine for $150. But your triceps will thank you once you have a good way to target them
