I look DYEL because 2 years ago I was 330 lbs. Had to go to skeleton town to get down to 172 lbs and have been on a 3 month lean bulk since. I’m at a crossroads because I’m starting to look fat. Before I was just skinny fat with loose skin and a 4 pack. First month of my lean bulk was my best physique. Lose-lose situation either way. But if I cut again I’d probably be in the same spot. Also I think I’ve exhausted my newbie gains since I did lift the first year albeit no protein and crazy caloric deficit due to ignorance
Continue lean bulk. Like you said you'd just be in the same spot if you cut. Don't be afraid of a little fat because you already know you can lose it. Just cut after you gained a bit more muscle. Are you doing good protein now?
5’11 m late 20s 180 lbs
32-3300 cals per week 500 kcal surplus
Avg 230-280g protein per day. Work out 6 times a week mainly calisthenics for 30 mins. Everytime I weight 180 my bmi goes from 24.9(normal) to 25.00(overweight) then I subconsciously try to drop back down to 178/179 because I don’t want to be fat
Went from lowest 172 to highest 181 lbs
But i track my average weekly weight to account for fluctuation so on average I was 175.4 lbs in the beginning of the bulk to about 177.925. But my next one which is tomorrow I’ll probably be at 178/179 and it’ll be really close to the 3 month mark so gaining 4 lbs in 3 months is totally within a reasonable lean bulk range. It’s just fascinating how utterly dogshit your physique can turn to in one 3 month lean bulk lol. I might never bulk again after this lol. Shoulda listened to the wise dwarf Greg douchehead. Don’t even want to show my face at work and see my crush with how I look like now
There’s a method to my madness and it is absolutely methodical. You can’t lose 150 lbs and achieve otter mode being 3k over your calories. People looked at me with envy and tried to use every excuse like I’m too skinny, ozempic accusations etc. people on IST spend their entire lives trying to achieve otter mode and never make it. I did in just 6 months of having it as my goal. Only reason I decided to let it go is because it was either cut my stomach and get the loose skin surgery (which I can’t afford) or bulk up. And I chose the latter. I now see the consequences of my actions.

Bulk of course, but carefully. Build some muscles, harvest your newbie gains, then cut and maintain forever.

I mean, truth be told this is truly just a psyop. This is me bloated after eating a 1k calories over my lean bulk calories in the form of 4 mcchickens and bloated as frick from smoking weed. I could have easily posted another picture of me in better lighting not bloated with my abs showing and I would have been praised for losing 150 lbs. I would not consider myself untrained at all. Since I had to do extensive boxing endurance training all of 2023. And now workout 6 times a week going pull ups push ups abs and dips. I just value an aesthetic physique that girls are into rather than muscles that guys are into
Admittedly, I also thought I looked disgusting and utterly contemptible so I decided to post here on IST to get shamed by you degenerate doomers so I can whipped right back into shape. That being said, I thank everybody for the feedback

Gonna be hard not to drastically cut back down to 2k calories a day and be a loose skin mess with a 4 pack. Whatever it’s better than being called fat by u guys. (Sidenote:picrel I was a few weeks into SR. So can confirm it is real in comparison to the coomed mess I am now in op pic)
REMEMBER, you will not cut to look good, nor will you look good when you cut, the only thing this cut does is not make you a fat frick after you lean bulk (2-3 pounds gained per month)

Cut 5-6 pounds just to make room for a bulk.
