David Goggins

I agree with him mostly. He talks about just becoming 100% focused on yourself and grinding like a moron until you become a beast. And then you just keep going, its the only way to actually achieve greatness in life

plus, talking to people eventually isn't going to affect your grinding, you don't need to give them constant attention

you already have a network. you're standing on the shoulders of giants brother

No don't grind like a moron. That's how you get used by people who made it through networking and being lazy. They'll use people who mindlessly grind away to their advantage. You need to grind, but you have to use your intelligence to know where your efforts best serve you.

You can't share achievements with the people you love. But you can share experiences. This life means much more when being able to to share it with others. Or not. As they say it's the eye of beholder, to each his own etc..

This is extremely moronic advice intended to make losers feel content with never breaking out of their shells. Don't do this, it isn't healthy to live this way. I adopted this approach when I graduated from college and got my first real job. I had just moved to a new city, and for the next two years I focused entirely on myself and advancing my career. After that time had passed I had made zero friends, my existing friends had become strangers, and the city still felt unfamiliar to me. I can't express how much I regret it, and fortunately I was able to gradually rebuild my relationships with most of the people I had neglected.

I mean what he has done to his wife and kids. His deployment in Afghanistan while other Seals were dying, leaving fellow firefighters to burn in wild fires when it gets too hot. With a good publicist and ghost writer you can turn any cowardice into heroism.

But this applies best to success in other areas (especially financial) if you make yourself into a personality to sell grindwave content to other grinders. And pretty much the only field this works in is fitness because it’s easily motivational and what most people think of when they think they want to start self improvement. Just making self-helping content for the sake of it in a niche area that doesn’t actually improve your life beyond a certain limit of fitness, apart from the fact you make money from producing that content. Because it’s not that applicable (again past a certain extent) to anything else where social success is pretty key. Even to team sports where a lot of the money from performance is at. So is this really just a pyramid scheme?

      Anonymous

No a pyramid scheme other people besides the inventor and his friends make a little money too. This is just regular marketing fraud that skirts consequences by how incredibly vague the outcome of “being hard” is.
