Day 11

30 Day Challenge
>1000 calories a day
>No snacks. No junk.
>Gym everyday

1/3 of the way there. Progress is being made. The abs are coming in nicely. Feels like I'm actually getting stronger too. I've found myself upping the weights on my squats and deadlifts since I started.

      LET'S GET LEAN

AMAZING PROGRESS. BLASTING THROUGH EVERY PLATEAU. What is the goal amount of lbs to lose?

No one hates the idea of being lean, they just think 1k calories is stupid.

I agree one size doesn't fit all and modified mine. I think the other anon that posts in here daily has something pretty different too

        LETS GET LEAN!!!!!!!!!

Proud of you. Seeing you make progress makes it easier to keep going. I'm trying to lose 20lbs, this challenge will get me most of the way there.

There was another guy and several others. I'm sure there is more, maybe they don't post or are waiting to see what the results will be like

        >Everybody thinks your muscle is going to fall off your bones like a good rack of ribs. That's not true and doesn't happen
His muscle mass will be severely reduced, I hope he notices it if he goes to the gym everyday.
1k calories is moronic unless you are 5'5, you are just screaming "I want to be skinnyfat" if you do that

I told another anon that this routine isn't for beginners. I have a decent muscle base and some extra fat to lose. If your goal is to build muscle, you shouldn't do this challenge

homie the only tiem you should do something like this is if you dont have a lot of muscle. you just played yo self

            I WILL BE LEAN

Why? I already have enough muscle. It's time to BE LEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can only access a certain amount of calories from fat per day and that number is lower the less fat you have. Where do you think your body gets the rest of the calories? Candyland? Seriously interested in your reply and thought process, or did you not think much at all when you put together this "challenge"?

                I WILL BE LEAN

                >Where does your body get the rest of those calories
From bodyfat? If it needs more it takes more.
It's not like your body says... oh I got 2000 calories from fat time to stop. You need to stop overestimating muscle loss. Your body has all the resources to keep your muscle intact and use its reserves. The longer you stay in ketosis, the better your body gets at using bodyfat for energy

Sure that source depletes less and less, but that's over the course of several months. 1 month of using your bodyfat s food isn't going to use all your reserves, it's not going to cause starvation, or muscle loss. Youre still supplementing high protein and 1000 calories which helps sustain muscle and even build it.

I still have plenty of strength. My muscles didn't fall off my bones or vanish. You seriously think I would do a challenge that would cause me to lose ALL my muscles? Sure I want to be lean by any means but you have to have muscle for being lean to work.

                Post body

Left start, middle when I did stupid shit like you are talking about (One meal a day, multi day fasting, long distance cardioextreme cal deficit), right when I actually stopped being moronic. Ok now your turn. This has to be bait, right? I'm not arguing with you about the length of fasting or the idea of fasting in general. Just because you already have muscle doesn't mean you start doing suboptimal shit. Stop trying to encourage idiotic behavior. It's about the amount of calories. No one month isn't going to hurt you that bad. Why are you only doing it for one month, I ask? Because it's not a sustainable or intelligent decision, that's why..

                I WILL BE LEAN

So you lost bodyfat by doing the diet I'm doing? So what's the problem? You didn't have muscle in the left, this diet isn't for building muscle. It's for losing fat.

Your own pictures prove that extreme calorie reduction works for losing body fat.

What did you do differently? I've done a lot of fasting and recomped, but I am terrified of cutting more with no abs. I'm at 17% body, should I just do a traditional cut and forget fasting to get to 12%

                Anonymous

My main gripe is that you will build much more muscle on a surplus at any point than a cut. There's no debate for that. And when you cut you only want to lose fat. It's borderline insulting to insinuate strength gain on 1000 calories, only possible to the utmost beginner. Hell you can bulk and gain mostly muscle if you eat clean especially if you're DYEL (Everyone touching this thread is). Maybe get a little under 17% but at some point.. you might still look good at 12%, but how much different would you be in a year if you didn't do stupid ass restrictive cuts and had some patience and did it with consistent intake. What if, at your current 17%, you start eating very clean, slightly above or around maintenance, and work to the fricking bone. You literally can't lift the same weight on 1k calories. A whole month wasted of noob gains. And you can just cut later on. I'm not saying go on a crazy bulk. Just try to gain weight very slowly. If your genetics aren't shit you should make progress.

I highly encourage you to do your own research

I'm not the 1K guy. I wouldn't eat in that low of a deficit. I do fast because I was told it was more muscle sparing when I was signing overweight. I don't think I'm DYEL, I'm 187lbs at 17% bodyfat.

The guy isn't starving himself. The body won't destroy its muscles if they are actively being used while still being fueled with protein, and as long as hydration is being maintained, the body isn't going to suddenly shut off. You're being rather hysterical

It takes a lot to enter muscle atrophy starvation, only a long fast or low calorie low protein would do it

Based on the weight loss studies I've read, it's always the same. The more the deficit, the more fat loss you have. Psmf is that sweetspot of providing enough protein for muscle preservation and maximizing fat loss through calorie deficit.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing

And to add, do you think someone with 5% bodyfat can get the same amount of calories from fat as someone 30%? Extreme example, but if you are already to the point of getting lean, it's not like your body is going to suck up all 5% of that fat. Why would your god defying body that can apparently decide to only burn fat build muscle? It's so intelligent that it's going to refuse to build expensive muscle. No, it's just smart enough to suck all the fat like a perfect machine?

It's not "only recommended" what you're reading are most studies were performed with obese patients who saw the most weight loss.

My main gripe is that you will build much more muscle on a surplus at any point than a cut. There's no debate for that. And when you cut you only want to lose fat. You're not wrong, but I'm not wrong either. There are multiple ways to lose weight. This is simply one of them

Just say you dont have any studies that show it being good for non obese people you fricking moron instead of going "do your own research hehe" and "oh well its not just for obese people it just happens that all the studies on it were done on obese people" , clearly this shit is all guided towards obesity, everything that comes up when you look up psmf is for obese people.
Just be based and say yea im doing this shit with no guarantee it'll work instead of pretending you've read some secret study dumbfrick

                I WILL BE LEAN

Why didn't you keep reading into the modern psmf section?

Or read any of the hundreds of articles on psmf for weightlifters

                https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.gymjunkies.com/how-ripped-month/

It's been proven to work by many sources. If it works for obese people you should be able to logically conclude that it works for everyone. This is why I said do your own research, so that you can use your own brain. Me giving you all the answers does nothing to help your understanding of the subject.

Of course there are different results and obese patients will always see the most fat loss. But that doesn't mean psmf doesn't work, or that psmf can't keep muscle mass. Bodybuilders do psmf all the time. Just think about it fundamentally

The most calorie deficit, with the most muscle saving has to be a low cal high protein diet. Or psmf

Listen candyland I'll let you do your little expriment but that's not how logic works. Fat loss for obese people is not the same as fat loss for lean people. name me one single legitimate male bodybuilder that has advocated for 1000calorie diets.

                >fat loss for humans is not the same as fat loss for humans

Fat is fat. The body uses it the same until you get to extreme levels of leanness and even then you can use more bodyfat and lose more muscle. Psmf is the sweetspot between max fat usage to minimal to no muscle loss.

I'm not going to debate you on if it works or if it doesn't, especially since this argument basically boils down to
                >here is multiple sources that say it works
