Halfway through the challenge. I'd say based on these results alone. The challenge was successful, I'm much leaner, and I'm seeing definition in my abs and serratus that I've never seen before. I've even noticed more people mirin at the gym. 15 more days and

Either you're counting wrong or you are in severe auschwitz mode
1000 calories, all high protein foods. It's ketogenic and after awhile your body starts using its own reserves to keep up the energy. I actually feel much better now than I did when I was eating non keto, much leaner as well

What I'm trying to tell you is, the data you've provided suggests your body is burning a meager ~1600 calories a day, which is very odd unless you are either super short, a woman, or already a skeleton. If you aren't going to offer and explanation, I'll assume the third option

Btw progress is progress. .2 a day is still over a lb a week. The real number so far is .6 a day from my starting point. And youre really going to tell me that losing 8lbs in 2 weeks is not good enough?
Impressive challenge but 1500 calories would be easier and sufficient. 1000 calories a day is 100% into muscle loss territory.
1000 calories a day won't make you lose significant muscle mass if any at all.
If you're eating 1000 calories of junk sure, but with a high protein diet, you'll never have that issue
right the body will just burn the dietary protein instead of bodyfat, and once it runs out of the protein, well, it's primed for protein breakdown and thus, take it from the muscles.
