I do two warm up sets and then 1 max set, all 5 reps, but I have not been able to do more then 2 reps with 90kg, after that I have to stop to rest. I get enough protein and sleep, I diddly 1.5x a week.
Is my stance bad? Am I squatting down too low? Do I need to switch to mixed grip already? No clue what I'm doing wrong.

Yes, with the information you have given us, I can say that you are doing it wrong.
Please tell me how I'm doing them wrong.
blud got moves
WTF?!?!! how is he doing that??!?
me as the frog
Go to 10 reps. I stalled on 5 reps too. Drop weight if you have to. Focus on form and don't use belt unless you have to either, I was using it as a crutch. Just be safe with the weight. It grew my back too even being lighter weight.
I don't use a belt, would I be better off doing 3x10 with less weight all the time or should I just deload and up the reps temporarily for like a month??
Just see how it goes for you. I like 3x10 over 3x5, 3x5 felt it was just for showing off heavy weights or something where I got faster results with 3x10 so I've been sticking with it for several months. I may see how going heavier and mixing in a 3x5 goes one of these days.
Why are they going backwards?
You need to be doing mixed grip or hook grip with chalk, yesterday.
Gym is a pissy ghetto shithole, no chalk, I've just been doing regular grip, redpill me on hook grip.
The beta breadline is real
you mean the incel cope.png?
Video? And if your grip is giving out but the rest of you feels fine then yes you should switch to an alternative grip style.
Don't have a video sorry, I'm not sure if it's the grip, when I put it down I can't lift it back up again so I think it's a stamina issue, either from just being fat or maybe bad breathing technique.
Okay I'll try that to build some stamina.
I was borderline disabled about half a year ago, I was a bit down and I would go weeks barely getting out of my bed for about a year and a half and it got so bad I could barely walk or lift anything. I might have had muscle atrophy I think, don't know never went to the doctor about it.
Weight and Height?
What exactly is your goal? If it is strength do the deadlifts on low reps. If it's hypertrophy do romanian deadlifts and isolate your hamstrings with leg curls for a higher amount of sets and reps.
183cm 153kg, my goal is to lose weight and put on muscle at the same time, I'd like to be strong and look good too.
153kg man stalling on a 90kg deadlift, holy frick
I can do them, just not 5 reps in a row, it's probably a stamina or technique issue. It's really weird that I'm stuck on 90kg for this since I can do 135kg for 20reps on the seated calf raise.
Taking a couple breaths between reps isn't an issue, longer than like 15-20 seconds between reps is too much though and you should work on your conditioning through walking since you're so heavy.
I need like 20-30secs of leaving the bar on the ground and leaning on something to catch my breath after like two deadlift reps with 90kg. I probably should be getting my stamina up, is doing ddr good for cardio? I have a dance pad and that is the most fun form of it I can think of.
It sounds like you’re working with a weight that’s too heavy for you. You should be able to rest 5 seconds between reps at most, and do around 5-8 reps. Unless you’re trying to do heavy singles, in which case, you’re doing it right.
I can do way more on the calf raise, so either my quads are super weak or I'm lifting with my lower back.
Is that really that surprising? The guy is morbidly obese and apparently had muscular atrophy. I wouldn't expect any fatso off the street to diddly 90kg.
90kg Deadlift ? are you a child or a woman? first time i ever entered a gym i did 3,5pl8
not even a fatty
wtf are you doing ?
anyways i increased it to 5pl8 by doing 7 reps 60kg, 5 reps 100kg 3 reps 140kg and then 1 rep of increases until i hit my 1rm once a week whilst i was training other stuff
and when i focused on Deadlift increase i did 6 setsx3-5 reps 3x a week
What do the Olympic lifters do?
>all white guys
She unironically a catch in modern America
What assistance do you do for deadlift? Is it just deadlift? Front squats, Shrugs, Kb Swings, RDLs after the diddly and maybe switch up to another variation for a few months as well. Sumo to conventional or whatever
I do conventional deadlifts and on the same day I do front squats, seated cable rows and OHP, I also do lat pulldowns on my other day.
I'm doing Reg Parks beginner 5x5 cause I liked that one the most on the sticky.
At such a low weight the issue is almost definitely technique. You probably are lifting with your biceps and back too much and not activation your glutes and hamstring enough. Go watch some videos on deadlift form and activating your glutes.
>activating your glutes
Does that just mean squeeze you buttcheeks? Cause yeah I have not been doing that.
you're doing too much other shit
focus on improving on your Deadlift
how long is your gym session ? deadlifts already fatigue ultra hard
do deadlifts only 3x a week and train other things on the other days until you can 4pl8 1rm
don't forget that some people sweat really hard on their hands and grip strength can never fix this
basically anything above 3pl8 i have to use straps
About an hour to an hour and a half, depends on how long the breaks I take are, sometimes I am way more tires then other times, but I always leave super sweaty and out of breath. That being said I always do deadlifts first so fatigue should not be the problem I have with them. I'd rather not skip a week of working out just to deadlift, or do you mean I should be going 6 times a week instead of 3?
6 times a week
Monday Wednesday friday you do 6 heavy sets of deadlifts
week 1 3 reps per set
week 2 4 reps
week 3 5
week 4 increase weight and do 3 reps
on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday you will do frontsquats, bench or ohp and rows, because you're too fat and weak for pullups
forgot to mention you do 10min cardio warmup and do dynamic stretching between sets on Deadlifts, never static
fingers to toes bouncing
get that hamstring stretch
Lean to your stretched leg
hip openers left right left right
you'll look insanely gay at first in the gym but trust me you don't want any chronic inflammation there this shit sucks I've barely cured that mofo
you can static stretch after gym though, helps with recovery
It means you should do your front squats before you deadlift not after, also yes squeeze your buttcheeks and push your feet against the floor instead of trying to stand upright regularly.
I'll look it up but thanks.
I'm on a 1000kcal deficit but I still get 150g of protein every day and I'm fat enough that I should be able to enter an anabolic state anyways.
You aren't eating enough
that is one of the greatest memes simps, cucks, and women can't argue against it
If you count them, there are less then 40 men, which is actually a conservative bodycount for a lot of more urban areas.
Anyone got more of these with a longer queue?

it seems not worth it. i will play vidya instead
I don't deadlift anymore after fricking up my lower back
Were you doing them with horrible for like I am, I figured it out, I should be feeling diddlys in my calves and quads right? But I usually feel them in my lower back, not good.
