    I'd say that ocean fish could have heavy metals but its mostly a problem on big, predator fish due to accumulation. So yes, sardines are a great and cheap protein source plus free real estate omega fatty accids

    Literally this recipe but with anchovies at the end
    If you want a smaller portion
    >evoo
    >3 large shallots (or 4-5 smaller ones)
    >garlic and red pepper flakes to taste
    >half can of veez
    >half tube of tomato paste
    >season to taste (be conservative with salt)
    >heat up deenz in sauce at the end (or earlier if you want them to break down)
    >parsley
    >parmigiano reggiano

    Also same deal with puttanesca, add in deenz towards the end

      Recommend a tube shape pasta for the shallot pasta too. Paccheri and Buccatini are my favorites but ziti, penne, rigatoni would probably work too

    Mackerel is better. Same kind of flavor, but more meaty and less fishy. Still very fishy. More protein, cheaper, bigger pieces, and succulent delicious and nutrient rich spines mmm. This is all prisoners eat, and they become totally jacked. So do with that whatever you will.
