I cheat on rest days and go to the gym just to do some bench real quick.
Keep going off program just to get a couple more sets of bench in.
I enjoy benching until I can reach failure just repping the bar.
Just benching 2x or more a week, some weeks 3x.
I think of doing some accessories or isolation I just do more bench instead.
Do your pessing movements in the smith machine and then do a fly variation and then dumbells. I’ve heard barbell incline is safer to do as well but some people differ. Every bodybuilder seems to agree flat bench is useless and does more harm than good.
If you're hurting your elbow, stop ego lifting and load up what you can actually handle.

I benched 375 6’2” 235lbs and yea he’s right my shoulders and elbows have been fricked for about a year. No more flat bench
