Diabetic here. I'm in pretty good shape, exercise 3-4 times a week, weight lift, cardio, etc. 6'2, 185lbs.
I struggle with feeling fulfilled with my diet. Any other anons in the same boat? Any recommendations for food plans or good snacks that are diabetic friendly, good macros, and enough calories to keep up muscle gain?
Don't mind me just the best candy bar.
like not feeling full even after eating or you're not satisfied overall with your diet?
I get full, just not satisfied with my diet. Don't get me wrong, it's a healthy diet, low carbs, no sugar minus from fruits. But I struggle to add variation. All of the shit I've been finding online just doesn't seem appetizing to me.
oh. i cant help you with that part then, but heres to hoping someone will answer your thread
I dunno, what do you enjoy? Eat things like cheese, mushrooms, fish, mussels/clams, frog, etc.
how do you not wanna have a nice day with high blood sugars?
There has to be a strong correlation between type 1 and suicide. I sure think about it all the time when my numbers are fluctuating
Do you have a pump and glucose monitor?
Ye
same this disease fricked my childhood when I got it at 12 But at least as technology improves and we have easier ways to manage our blood sugars with insulin we'll get a cure sooner or later. This shit's a curse man.
Go with a Mediterranean diet, you need a high fat diet in order to feel full
i heard that you can heal diabetes with fasting
so true, my pancreatic islets magically came back by not eating food

Diabetes 1 == Diabetes 2
You can be a fatso, a professional athlete or a junky, type 1 doesn't care
Betus 1 here. My diet is mostly veggies and lean animal protein, low carb/fat and works great. My only sin is beer, but I rather drink that eating one kilo of pasta like I did in the past.
any other anons use the gluteal region for their infusion sites?
i have a question
Fatso here. Was 160kg and have since started dieting and exercising (now 136.7). Never really ate much processed stuff etc but a while back I had a health scare thinking it was the beetus. Thankfully it turned out that it wasn't and my sugar levels were normal
Since I'm still fat, is there any chance that I could develop diabetes in the time it takes me to lose the remaining weight even if I'm now eating better and excersising?
You ever heard of the DAFNE course anon?
Is it possible to have type 1 and not realize you have it?
Sure, but taking your blood sugar at home a few times can prove you have it. So why worry if you don't care enough to find out. Not like they sell blood glucose machines in every drug store.
>drink 10L of water per day
>WOW everythings is somehow alright
Huh?
unrelated but that glass of water after your cgm wakes you up for high bg is some of the best water ive ever had
Based and truthpilled
I'm glad my parents took me in. I was so fricking thirsty for grape juice. That morning I chugged a ton and probably would have died if they didn't get me checked out
