Did cutting give me diabetes?

Bros I’ve been cutting for almost 10 months now and I’ve lost close to 20kg/44lbs but recently I keep waking up with a dry mouth and my piss smells bad. Do I continue with my cut, do I get a blood test?

I still wake up with a dry mouth no matter how much water I drink. I just want to know if it's from diabetes or my high protein diet

Waking up with dry mouth just means that you sleep with your mouth open. The air when you breath dries it up all night long.

It's extremely, EXTREMELY unlikely you managed to gain type 2 diabetes while losing significant amounts of weight. Losing weight reduces your insulin resistance so it works better and you have better blood sugar control.

Yes, it becomes easier to control. The less fat you wear the less insulin you need. Carbs rise blood sugar as we all know, but body fat rises insulin resistance. Now I’m at 14%, but when I was at 20% I needed twice as much insulin.
If you are betus having low body fat is a must.

you probably breathe out your mouth when you sleep which i do about 1/3 of the time and if i do my mouth is very dry so maybe you're doing that. People don't tend to get diabetes when they're losing a lot of weight. You probably prevented it. Your piss could be smelly because you need more water or supplements or certain foods.

But I never used to wake up like this even when I was on my diet. I just hope eating low carb hasn't made me me insulin resistant like some studies claim

Low carb only contributes to insulin resistance if you replace the carbs with significant amounts of dietary fat

ffs, get your blood checked. Stress can give you diabetes, so even if you don't have it now, you will due to starting stupid threads

Getting a blood test is not a bad idea. You are allowed to take a diet break for a few weeks if you are suffering from diet fatigue. Your goal would be to practice eating at maintenance during the break, then get back on the horse and lose more weight. What is your height and weight currently, and what is your goal weight?

I'm 5'6 57kg rn manlet skinnyfat. Started cutting at approximately 76kg. Goal is 50kg or till I lose all belly fat whichever comes first

Please stop cutting. You are underweight. I recommend maintaining and trying to build muscle. You can bulk if you want, but gain 1 lb per month or less.

thats just way not enough muscle volume. Id break the cut, gain 3-6kgs over the course of 2-3 months. Then again you might be cursed with shitty genetics, but to judge that we would need pics

Gaining 3 kg a month is the single dumbest thing I have ever heard in my entire life. For the love of god, do not listen to this person.

Aim to gain around 0.5-1 kg a month.

                >Aim to gain around 0.5-1 kg a month.
true, 3 kg might be too much for a month, but to me it looks like the guy is at noobs gains level. The daily weight swings would constitute at least a 1-2kg at the end of the month, I dont think its even possible to measure .0kg gain by an amateur lifter

Well, just aim for an average. In the US, we do lbs, so 1 lb a month.

It doesn’t matter that much. He could maintain and still build muscle. It’s just that if he doesn’t gain weight for an entire month, he needs to eat more. That’s all.
