Did people treat you differently after you got?

I work in a warehouse driving a forklift. Everyone always assumes I am in charge until told otherwise. Whenever a driver comes in to drop something off they always talk to me first. Every new employee always asks me for help first even though I am far from the most experienced. Did you experience this also when you got jacked?

Shut up lardass. Humans instinctively look for a leader who is physically fit. It shows commitment and self control. Humans instinctively dislike fatasses because they have a thinner blood brain barrier that allows toxins right in to dumb them down, poor self control, or a gene disorder. Nothing about those traits screams a leader.

          >The only a reason a truck driver talks to you is because you're the one who takes shit off their truck
I rarely unload trucks and also im not on the forklift all the time. So theres no way the drivers would know what I do. They often walk past other people who are closer in order to specifically talk to me.
          >People ask forkies questions because generally you know where everything is and how the tracking and storage systems work etc
Thats probably a part of it but they will again often ignore other people to come talk to me specifically.

There are a lot of subconscious things at play. Physical fitness and aesthetics are a proxy for genetic worth and signal that you are a good fecund mate who will yield high quality offspring. Like what said.

It also signals positive attributes like self care, discipline, energy, motivation, intelligence, future thinking and more. You basically signal that you’ve got your shit together more than the average slob. As a result people looking for someone to lead or shoulder responsibilities (even just answering a simple question) will gravitate towards the fit person. Part of the reason I started lifting two years ago was to help with my career.

Biden voting women tend to be like this as they prefer emasculated men, because emasculated men satisfy their power trip and let them get away with whatever.

When you’re more masculine they know you can and will dominate them and avoiding eye contact helps them cope and “avoid” that painful truth.

I guess you're in a lust-provoking shape now and some women are spergs and don't know to how handle those feelings in a professional environment. To be honest there's no cultural script for them to follow. They're the more powerful member of the organization reacting to an attractive subordinate. How do they act? Like a sperg.
Now that I think about it, there's no real script for men either beyond fricking the secretary.
Obviously the answer is to separate the sexes into two parallel societies who only procreate at a deeply traumatic ceremony once every five years.

I used to be obese and was basically invisible to girls and now I am skinny and do get attention from girls.
the main problem I have with women is all the bullshit they used to tell me about how our personalities just arent compatible instead of just straight up telling me I wasnt attractive.
Would have saved me a lot of anguish knowing it was because of my looks and not because of my personality.

yes. they say life doesn't begin until you hit 12%.
really, life (as you are perceived by others) doesn't begin until you hit 12%.
    appearances matter a lot.

Life truly does begin at sub 12% BF.

I have an average face. White, 6'0", green eyes, brown hair (blonde during youth). Not a lot of muscle. When I'm over 12% BF I'm just a normal guy -- don't get a lot of attention from women. Don't command much respect at work. Kind of your typical not-overweight-but-nothing-impressive adult.

When I'm sub 12% BF it's like a switch is flipped -- women act insane around me. It's not just nicer interaction at the water cooler or in public or Christmas party. More than one woman has proposed an affair with me. One of them was married to my (distant) friend. Sitting at a bar with guys from my beer league, women approach me and openly try to get me to leave with them despite me wearing a wedding ring and saying I have kids a hundred times. It's a completely different game. Perhaps being in my 30s and in the US and being that lean has something to do with it -- I basically have zero adult peers that are in shape post having kids. As an adult you become a unicorn if you have a 6 pack beyond 30 / beyond kids.

You being married is what turns them on. You're forbidden fruit.

I've been married and >12% BF around these same women and when that's the case I'm back to being invisible.

The physical, primal, subconscious nature of it is very apparent. They touch my arms/back/stomach as they're talking to me. They make contact with me as they go past me in no-so-tight office kitchens. They ask me to go get after work drinks all the time and include me in all the out of office events. They only do this when I'm IST. I've always been a bit of a yo-yoer with my weight so I've entered and exited the promised land a few times (usually gain BF% after each kid then lose it again) so I have done the "experiment" a few times. Women do NOT know how to act around a grown man with flat abs. They go absolutely insane and all of the sudden they're willing to give up their families to screw you.

            Anonymous

Funny, that was one thing I noticed too.

I don’t attend most after-work events like drinks, etc. but I’ve noticed I get a lot more invites and a lot more insistence that I come when I’m around 12% bodyfat.
I do think this is a real thing.

In the summer if I'm wearing a T shirt? You can see the vascularity in my forearms, the bicep veins, and shoulders through the shirt. Perhaps they don't see the six pack but they can see from the visible parts of me and the rest of my sillouhette that I'm in good shape. Keep in mind that I'm in the south so the average adult is a lardass. I stick out quite a bit in public if I'm standing amongst my age peers.

I grew up hearing I'm a waste of a pretty face, and that I'm pretty for a fat girl, etc. I didn't care and just hid myself in a nerdcave for most my teens. Freshman year of college got an undiagnosed illness and tried holistic approach of lots of fasting and raw vegan/and later carnivore diet. Healed up, lost a ton of weight and felt amazing so got into fitness and outdoors/sports. Sophomore year was wild, people I knew legit didn't recognize me. I mean my personality changed, too. Somewhat, still more of an introvert but developed more extrovert tendencies because people just were talkative and insanely nicer to me. Girls especially, more wanted to get to know me and invited me to events and such. They ignored or were briefly fake nice back when I was a fat slob. Guys of course more interested, but I had I guess fetish weirdos and general desperate creeps always trying with me before. Same amount of creeps, just also more actually attractive guys now, too. I guess I still have ugly duckling syndrome because they make me nervous. I can't tell if a guy just wants to hook up or genuinely date either, I just don't trust them. I never dated, and I'm friends with a few guys for sports/camping but they're either gay or taken so they don't treat me that way. Still learning about everything in general and not focused on guys in any way outside platonic friends for now.

Having sex is a part of dating.

If they ask you on a date while wanting to have sex with you they want to go on a date with you, and if they don't ask you on a date while wanting to have sex with you they want to hook up.

If you're talking a committed relationship, that's not something you decide before the first date. You should be using those dates as a means to sus out information on the other person to even see if a committed relationship is feasible - yes this includes sexual compatibility as well.

I'm a university lecturer and going from skinny to fit absolutely changed how my students respond to me, but part of that might also be just developing my own public speaking skills and similar things. In any case, every single semester I will have several of my male students stay after class or randomly show up to office hours to ask about fitness advice. Sometimes I see them in the gym and they'll come say hi and all that. I also have female students blatantly flirt with me or eyefrick me (I don't act on it, I'm not going to abuse my position of power). When presenting research and such in front of professors/researchers, I've noticed people are much more deferential to a lesser degree.

After about a year of lifting and fixing my fricked up diet, one of my friends got jealous. He tried to get everyone to stage a weird intervention type meeting by telling our mutual friends that I had an eating disorder because I was losing weight, stopped beer, and stopped eating fast food. Apparently he found some blog that claimed that intentional weight loss is a sign of disordered eating and suicidal ideation. Haven't spoken to him in years.

I've been a recluse for 22 fricking years. I started at 17, and I'm 39 now. I only left my house maybe twice a year during that time. I finally couldn't take it anymore and tried to get better over the last 3 or so months by going outside more. To my shock, I'm getting swarmed by women - which is absolutely insane to me because a big part of the reason why I was a recluse for so long is because I thought I was hideously ugly and pathetically weak and disgusting (I was diagnosed with severe body dysmorphia last year). And then you frickers would sometimes shit on my body progress pics saying I didn't look all that great. Although, to be fair, most people said I look great for my age (39) and even called me a Chad. And a big part of the reason why I'm so successful with women is because I consistently lifted weights during that 22 years of severe isolation. And so women are complementing me on how sexy my arms are or admiring my physique in general. And so thank you, weight lifting. You somewhat salvaged my insanely fricked up life and allowed me to bang hot chicks half my age despite being such a massive weirdo and loser. People really do treat you better if you're buff.

Lifting consistently for 26 years. I started at 13. I used to be way bigger. Age + injuries have slowly eaten away at my gains. I've been in maintenance mode for several years. My weight on the bars hasn't increased at all in forever. I'm just maintaining a decent physique at this point - which, contrary to what people tell you on here, impresses most people irl.

As to my diet; I do OMAD (one meal a day) and try to avoid high glycemic index food (basically highly processed junk food). And in order to reduce my body fat percentage, I just reduced my calorie intake by cutting down on the amount of dried fruits and whatnot that I was eating. From the first pic to the last pic was only like 6 weeks.

            hell yeah, nice

Thank you. I actually really appreciate people being nice to me. I never really expect it on IST.

Why are your breasts shaved in the last one? lmao

Had to do an EKG or whatever for my annual physical to make sure that my heart is working right (it is). They have to attach a bunch of electrodes to your torso, and so they had to shave off patches of my chest hair so that they'd stick properly.

ECG. It measures your heart rhythm and detects any arrhythmias

Thanks, anon. So glad I've started OMAD and got my hunger impulses under control. Currently can chill till 2pm without feeling hunger at all.

I'm looking into OMAD. Do you slowly transition into it, or do you just do a huge protein-filled meal in the afternoon ?

I've only beed doing OMAD for 2 months and at first I couldn't go to sleep without a second meal before bed. Just couldn't do it. So I ate 2 times a day. Then one day I just did it and that was enough to mute my hunger hormones for good.

                >huge protein-filled meal
It's not even that huge honestly, more like a normal lunch. Grains, eggs, vegetables, chicken, meat, soup, stew. Turns out I didn't need breakfast or dinner and just overate for no good reason.

I see. I usually eat a bagel with some fruit + a protein shake in the morning, then either rice or potatoes with Chicken/Turkey for lunch + another protein shake, then a sandwich when I get home from work at night.

Doesn't even look like a bad diet tbh, I think you have the potential to make it just a lunch in no time.
I think the guys who are used to eating something real like a full English for breakfast would have a harder time omading.

Thanks. I'll see if I can replace my night-time meal with just a protein shake. Due to my job, I usually eat lunch around 3- 4pm. Hopefully I'll be able to withstand the hunger in the long-term.

So I read about 12% bf and I've had an athletic runners build my whole life.

I'm only 5 lbs from being 12 percent anyway, but it's not buff.

I get hit on sometimes if I'm thin but basically it's like more brunettes depressive ish emo like personalities over sunny germanic blonde types.

So I guess I mean for people to weigh in on like athletic, but not jacked.

Also then what level of jacked do you need?

Say you're 6 foot and have 12% but then how much do you need to weigh total?

    I'm 160 so like 170? 180?

That's wide receiver in college football territory.

I also just went to the gym and did 1k calories on the elliptical and started to feel my foot arch so...

Guess I'll go back tomorrow and do a simple mass routine.

Same as some anons have said here, growing taller during late teenagehood and becoming muscular made me disgusted with people and especially women. I always felt like the same person inside, but now suddenly that I'm attractive you love my personality? Suddenly I'm hilarious and loveable? Frick off.
I completely understand women when they say if you don't love me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best. None of these prostitutes deserve me.

I mean the biggest thing Ive had (Besides 3 new girls a week on average) has been that really really hot girls treat me well.
Ive literally been hanging out with models who will grope me in public, drink and smoke (even when they arent supposed to) and bring me to VIP in clubs.
Its weird but nice to experience, the same three girls for multiple years now.

It's definitely different. When I'm in the grocery store or something I notice people are much more likely to open the door for me, move out of the way in an aisle, etc as opposed to when I was skinny-fat. Women are vastly different though. I didn't have many interactions with my female coworkers but once I got fit I actually do have interactions with them but they can be either very flirtatious, friendly, or they are extremely rude and b***hy.

Yes, but it went from being treated like shit or like I wasn't there to being treated with respect and like a normal human being, but also a little bit scared of me. I'm a nice and polite person and I don't want to intimidate anyone, but I'm also bald and have a very masculine face and a naturally mean mug, so some people keep their distance.

When I started a new job years ago, I was the only IST person, and was also a bit younger than most of the other employees. Most were overweight moms 5-10 years older. And when we sat at the lunch table on my first day, they brought up diet and exercise topics unprompted. I was a young, naive autist who assumed good in people back then, so it took me a bit to realize what was going on. That they felt threatened and judged simply by me being IST and were scrutinizing what I was eating, coming up with weird copes and justifications for their own lifestyles. I could tell the atmosphere was tense and weird but didn't get why until I thought about it later. It was a very odd experience.

The next day they did it again and I had the nerve to disagree with one woman claiming that treadmills are actually bad for you. I learned that I just had to let them talk and ignore their bullshit. Better yet, I began agreeing with them and lying to them, because it was what they wanted to hear, like "Oh yeah, it's not your lifestyle, it's your genes. You're totally right, Susan." Over time, they got over it and things became normal. But I've never had people seething at me for existing like that before or since.

      >Lying to fit in
      >Not only that, but telling another person's lie
Anon, you shouldn't have been so concerned about what those fatass cows thought of you. Women's minds work on consensus, so by going along with the "muh genetics, muh cundishuns, muh tabolism" cope you're making it that much harder to break their delusions. Whereas if you politely yet firmly hold your ground for long enough, you can reverse-gaslight them into good habits.

I thought I was reading into it too much at first but its true. Quite literally, people wave through a crowd in a busy subway station or somesuch and despite all the people and sometimes despite having earphones they come right to me to ask for directions and such.

Yes, last weekend a bartender gave me a free drink because she said I was cute, and the girl at the movie theater blushed when I looked at her. I think it's less about my body (because it's cold here and they can't see it underneath my layers) and more that I've lost a lot of face fat and have a good hairstyle now

Yes but I’ve always been Chad/fit even before I really hit puberty. Gifted genetics and an Olympian father made me always love working out.
