GTFO out of this ultra elitist hobby. It’s so fricking cringe. I remember I was going to YCS and shit. My gf thought it was super fricking gay, and so did all her friends. I’m stacked btw, i didn’t realize how weird it is to be one of the few non gross people at these events. After my second tournament i stood up and took a good look around the room and thought to my self “yeah I can’t be associated with this human archetype anymore”.

Maybe a decade ago. MTG, alongside every nerdy western thing, has become pozzed as frick. Dunno what the root cause is, but vidya, card games, and tabletop are all infected with absolute degenerates.

I remember when I first went to the gym. I went to 24hr fitness at about 1 in the morning as that's when I got off work. I was extremely nervous to talk to the receptionist and get signed up as the receptionist was a well built, muscular black guy and I was a fat, nerdy highchooler. He was super nice and helpful as he could tell I was nervous and then I noticed he had the Magic: The Gathering mana symbols tattooed on his left arm. We started talking about that and I felt a lot more relaxed then. He got me signed up and gave me some initial pointers on the do's and dont's of lifting at a gym and pointed to some good machines/areas to start with.

I remember at the second prerelease I went to, I played against a guy who was clearly on roids. I remember him in particular becuase I'm quite sure he cheated and brought in cards from outside. That, or he had the most insane luck ever, but I doubt it. Imagine cheating at a motherfricking prerelease.

Getting back into Yugioh after years and I wanna build a Spright deck. Does this make me gay? I hear people hate playing against them but I like their designs and their playstyle appeals to me, not to mention they’re very new so I don’t need to get half of the cards for the deck as singles off of eBay.

If your line of reasoning is that you aren't allowed to have any hobbies or personality when you start exercising, don't just drop cards games, literally have a nice day.
But in any case, drop Magic, just play YuGiOh. The original one preferably.

I don't really recognize any cards after 5Ds, but I'm still salty that they're not really considered that good considering how cards are made today. I miss playing God cards with their anime effects as a kid. My friends and I were just basically pissing each other of because who's gonna stop us? Konami?
        Times were simpler.

I mean for a card game that doesn’t use set rotation and allows every card from the game’s beginning over 20 years ago until the current day to be tournament legal (unless it’s banned) it’s tough to keep cards introduced that early relevant. The most recent starter decks were Obelisk and Slifer IIRC though, and with modern cards they’re insanely easy to summon and their effects are still decent.

  17. 2 years ago

Yu-Gi-Oh cards have gotten extremely cute and funny lately. Konami know their audience well. If nothing else, OP, being fit will actively distract and frustrate your likely extremely overweight opponent for a competitive advantage.

says, it depends on the area. The first pre-release I went to there was a guy who was fricking unbearable and he talked about tricking kids out of their rare cards. I want to imagine he was joking but I dunno man. The one I went to on Sunday was chill though, at a different store and had much better prizes.

Bro, nerdy girls love fit dudes. Also, they'll hit on you even if you're a total sperg if you've got some muscles and they tend to be more obvious about it than regular girls. Also, they're really easy to bed, for some reason nerdy girls frick more than stacies. So yeah, keep going with your hobbies, bang some skinny nerds and enjoy life. That's what it's all about - be yourself without giving a frick about society and keep on improooooving.

Why? There's hardly a greater feeling in the world than being the cause of intense envy from those too lazy to work for what you have. It's even better if you're a gracious and friendly person to them, it shatters their 'muh meathead' coping.
