multiply the weight in pounds by 15 and subtract 25-30%. That's your diet calories to start.
                0.7(140x15) = 1470.
it was close. what is your diet like?

I try to eat almost the same things everyday so it's easier to track calories and macros, it goes like this:
1-2 cups of milk when I wake up
                Go to gym
Get back from gym, 2-3 boiled eggs
                Skip lunch
Last meal (dinner) is like 200g of rice with 200g of chicken

not enough protein or fibre. space your meals out more throughout the day. substitute some of that rice for beans. eating wheat would be better but it's not the biggest deal. can you get whey protein?

30% discrepancy depending on how you feel
                Hardly a fine science anon.

That said if you are not seeing results wtf are you doing, 63kg is miniscule, the difference of even 500g per week should be very noticeable

Bro unless your fricking sub five foot it not likely you have that much fat to lose. How tall are you?

stick to your calories, maybe try hiit instead of LISS, you will be down in a few weeks/couple of months.

                like

Use high volume low calorie foods and also drink a lot of water. Both of these will keep you very full with little calories. You shouldn't be feeling hungry on a cut. If you are, then you need to take a look at what you're eating/drinking and make adjustments to give you more volume.

said, high volume, low calories foods - this is nerdspeak for eat some damn vegetables - will make a significant difference to hunger. my dinner this evening was an absolutely fricking enormous bowl of curry, and it was only about 600 calories because it was a mix of lentils, chopped vegetables, spices, and tofu(i.e for most people, read “chicken/turkey”). same principle applies to every meal the difference between a small unappetising bowl of oatmeal and a large tasty, varied breakfast is half an apple, some cinnamon, and a tea spoon of chia seeds or whatever. figure out the easiest and most effective ways for you to *enjoy* fruit and veg and you will never need to have a meal that’s too small even on a calorie deficit.

I would supplement with either psyllium or metamucil if you aren't going to drink the unprocessed stuff. drink 2tbs with your last meal.
                >whey
1 scoop and 250ml skim milk 250ml juice of your choice (pineapple juice and vanilla whey is absolutely delicious) plus either a piece of fruit or a homemade muffin. customize this suggestion how you like.

basically just space out your meals and eat more protein. I am 175 6'3 and can eat about 1500 cal per day no problem.

I calculated mine following the rules in the fat loss general and got 2050. This is ignoring all exercise (I work out 6x a week). I eat 1,000-1,500 calories a day (on cheat day I probably eat like 2-2.5k) and this has me still at 2lbs a week. It's fine to use a calculator but if it's not working just cut more until it starts working. I overestimate all the calories I eat and underestimate all of the calories that I burn and doing this is working out fine for me. When I plateaued I just cut my intake more. Just track everything and make methodical progress.

Empirical testing. Eat normally and track your calories to an autistic degree every day for two months. Weight yourself every morning right when you wake up during that two months. Track your weight as the rolling average of the previous two weeks. At the end of the two months you'll know if you were eating at maintenance, surplus, or deficit based on your weight changes and the 1lb ~ 3500 calories formula. Once you have your TDEE, tweak the calories you eat in the direction you want to go. Continue weighing yourself and counting calories, as you TDEE can change over time due to weight change and hormones. Yes, it's a lot of work, and yes this could take months or even years, but it's the non-meme way to gain and lose weight, and it works. Furthermore, the discipline it teaches you makes it second nature. You always hear stories of people that lose weight fast then gain it all back. By learning to do things the slow, consistent, correct way, once you lose the weight you keep it off. I lose 75lbs four years ago and have kept it off by continuing to track my weight and calories and tweaking as needed.

The craziest thing about this whole Pokimane no makeup thing is that she relatively doesn’t even look that bad compared to the difference most other women have between makeup/no makeup. Some girls use makeup to successfully cover up cystic acne and warts and blemishes. They look like different people without makeup. So if Pokimane is bad, there should be so much more outrage for all the other cases.

It's a psychological thing. The right projects an imagine of a casual atmosphere and natural sincerity about what's being presented. The left just screams 'narcissistic ego-driven attention prostitute' making it immediately less attractive to men looking for more than a hole. In the game of frick/marry/kill, the left would be the frick, and the right would be the marry.

My TDEE is like 700. It's difficult to know for sure because those calculators don't account for things like "missing 1 full leg, and 1/2 of the other" and the sedentary category probably doesn't account for being in a wheelchair and literally never walking. But after 7 years of experimenting, it's pretty close to 700.

If I'm doing more vigorous workouts, I can feel when my intake is not enough. My muscles get sore. Not like that good post-workout sore, but a kind of "this didn't happen during last week's workout" sore. Where I can feel my body isn't getting the sustenance it needs to support the muscles that need it to get stronger. It's hard to explain. But that feeling is the best indicator I have of what my actual TDEE is.

    >Do I really have to starve myself to lose weight?
Yes. There is simply no way around it. You should think of it as a lifestyle change, not a diet. Find a shift in your eating habits that you can be comfortable with forever, or you're just going to end up gaining the weight back. Sacrifices will have to be made. No self-improvement comes without sacrifice.

For example, I cut out any drinks that use sugar, and that alone was worth like -400 calories/day. But wasn't that big of a deal. Water, crystal light, sugar-free coffee creamer, diet soda, whatever. It only takes a few weeks to adapt to it. But the longterm effect of -400 calories a day is no fricking joke.

So I'm a 5'5 136 lb woman and I went to have my BMR tested. It turns out the online calculators were right. My TDEE on a day I worked out was 2100, on a sedentary day was 1800. I spent the money so you don't have to.

My second thing is, if you're cutting at 500 cals, I guess 'technically' you'll lose weight eventually but what you need to be doing is cardio. I was losing weight excruciatingly slow with calisthenics bc I'd only be burning 150-200 calories. Id only be burning like 250 maybe with HIIT yoga. But when I started doing that intense cycling like peleton or cyclebar, now I'm burning 350-400 and I'm losing weight rapidly. And my shape is changing. I'm like super recomping.

So high cardio like running or cycling *if you can handle it*. It may be too much if you're not used to starving AND doing heavy cardio. If you can't handle it, add 100 calories and keep going. MAKE SURE TO EAT CARBS BEFORE YOU DO THE CARDIO or you'll die. Kbye.

      Anonymous

Thank you. I usually do max incline 15% treadmill at 4mph which burns around 200 calories at 30 minutes or 400-450 in 1 hour, I can't stand cycling or doing stationary bike.

That's because you have to learn how to properly break a fast. You need something light but filling to satisfy you.
I'll pull 24-hour fasts from the evening of Saturday to the evening of Sunday. I break the fast with yogurt and cheese, then start eating regularly the next day.

What works for me is only breaking fasts at dinner time, so I don't spend the entire day running around eating shit like a maniac. I eat a pretty sizeable dinner, then a few hours later I'm in bed. I might eat a bit more with dinner itself, but as long as it's normal, home cooked food there's no way on Earth I can undo the fast in a single sitting. That alongside some psyllium husk + water to feel more "full" and you can get away with it pretty easily. Basically, don't break a fast in the morning because you will spend the entire day stalking the kitchen like a raptor.

If you lose it faster than 1lb a week, you'll probably just gain it back after you stop. You aren't special, you won't beat the statistics, and you need that long time it takes to lose the weight to adjust to the lifestyle it takes to keep it off.
