The carnivore diet and fasting reverse gray hairs

You mean don't fall for the 400g carbs per day meme. Meat has been eaten for millions of years, it's the healthiest food that exists.

The carnivore diet gets you bald like your idol sv3rige you retards. You get too much cysteine, tryptophan and methionine so you are growthmaxing (ie cancermaxxing). You get too much iron and probably all around metals so your hairs get white.

It's called OPSAD: one pound of sugar (honey and fruit) a day

Goatis went bald when he was a mentally ill vegan. Eating meat cured his mental illness and anxiety but he took things to a retarded extreme for the youtube views.

Why not both? Why does it have to be either one thing or another? Fructose is 10x more damaging to cells than glucose. And no, a1c tests are not sensitive to fructation as they are glycation.

where tf does this meme come from? fructose is superior to glucose bc it doesnt cause nearly much of an insulin spike and it raises the metabolic rate
in the cell, fructose is processed exactly the same way as glucose it just skips the first couple steps of glycolysis
glucose gets converted into fructose anyway when it goes through glycolysis
there is no mechanism by which fructose is harmful

                >there is no mechanism by which fructose is harmful
Of course there is and it's called glycation.

most glycation is caused/catalysed by lipid peroxidation, ie PUFA
it also usually happens bc there is a lack of CO2 in the cell protecting the free amino groups on proteins (CO2 binds to amino groups on proteins forming protective carbamino groups), which leaves them susceptable to attack
a lack of CO2 is caused by impaired OXPHOS metabolism
more sugar being metabolised means more CO2 means less glycation
ie restricting sugar will increase glycation by interfering with metabolism and introducing more proteins susceptable to glycation and PUFA (even if you try to restrict PUFA, more overall fat consumption means more PUFA)

                sugar good
                starch is sugar
sucrose is slightly better than starch, but starch is also okay if your gut can handle it

saladinos meat and fruit diet is basically ripped off from peat, except saladino is a grifter so he will never admit that the sugar in honey and fruits is the same as table sugar and that starch is also just pure glucose
also peat advocates seafood, especially shellfish, which Ive never seen saladino eat

You are assuming elevated cholesterol is causal instead of a symptom of underlying chronic illness.

it is, seen it with my own blood tests. when I tried keto years back my cholesterol levels skyrocketed and for the first time I got chest pain, a common symptom that people get from high cholesterol. so what a surprise when i stopped keto and eating as much meat, my cholesterol levels went back down and I stopped getting this chest pain. I wasn't even fat btw, that's the crazy part, i was 18 bmi at this point in time and was a lot weaker than I am now. these heavy meat eating diets are a scam and they can only temporarily work on the most obese people trying to lose weight, where they falsely attribute better health from just losing weight to their diet

cholesterol in itself is actually protective, this has been agreed upon for decades, it's when they're oxidized that they're harmful. and high cholesterol is a thyroid problem, no shit your cholesterol jacked up during keto, you need carbs to activate your thyroid

It's not retarded. Macro mixing leads to chronic elevated blood sugar and inflammation that will cause glycation damage to the cardiovascular system, requiring cholesterol to repair damaged cells.

Wow your post is full of complicated words I am 100% sure you don't understand at all. Everything you are describing is caused by "high blood sugar" which is caused by overeating and being inactive. You don't have to "mix macros" to achieve this, you just have to eat like shit.

If you eat a meal of fatty steak with a baked potato and butter, you are obviously mixing macros. But that meal is not going to cause you to have a high blood sugar or "glycation damage" (lmao you don't even know what this means).

If you eat a meal of goyslop with refined seed oils and wash it down with some shitty HFCS soda, you are again, obviously mixing macros, but that's (obviously) not your primary problem. The problem is you are eating like shit. Combine this with being sedentary and you have the diet and lifestyle of the average American with diabetes.

The problem isn't "mixing macros" you pseudointellectual retard. And that's what makes the Harvard statement retarded. They imply that eating a macro-balanced diet is unhealthy when the much more obvious problem is the massive amounts of refined sugars and seed oils people are eating. But they can't say the latter, so they obfuscate the truth with science mumbo-jumbo that retards like you repeat with no understanding of biochemistry or physiology.

It's called the Randle cycle. Fat and sugar cross-inhibit one another from access to cells. The reason this happens is because idle glucose will damage cells, so glucose, in a cell replete with fat, will be locked out no matter how insulin is in the bloodstream. This is what causes elevated blood sugar, aka diabetes. This only occurs at surplus btw, but any time you eat at a surplus this way, you further the diabetic negative feedback loop. HFCS, and PUFAs escalate the issue, but the underlying driver is mixing fat and carbs in the diet, which is why both keto, and low-fat (chicken breast and rice/vegan) diets are effective weight loss strategies. They deactivate Randle activation and reverse diabetes.

"Overeating" as you said starts off as gluttony but soon becomes ravenous hunger due to metabolic syndrome. The syndrome needs to be addressed instead of simply restricting calories using CICO principles.

It's not like this metabolic mechanism is not without purpose. It allows infants to gain weight and allows humans to do the same in summer in preparation for winter. But chronically activating the Randle cycle is what causes all these metabolic issues.

                >blah blah blah made-up nonsense with no bearing on reality
I don't really care about your niche boogeyman biochemistry pathway. You are overcomplicating something very simple.

When I eat fatty steak cooked in tallow and then eat fruits or honey for dessert, I don't gain fat. If I were to eat microwave meals and soda (and overeat because those foods aren't satiating) I would gain fat. Simple as.

For anyone else interested or scared of this subject, there's this video I watched and forgot all the details about. You can watch it, too, anon, but I have a feeling you won't:

                >metabolic syndrome
Do you even know what this is? You don't get metabolic syndrome by having mixed macro meals, idiot.
                >Fat and sugar cross-inhibit one another from access to cells.
You're use of "cross-inhibit" instead of the scientific word "competing" shows you have no idea what you're talking about.
                >The reason this happens is because idle glucose will damage cell
This is a nonsequitur. Also, you only get massive glucose spikes with low-quality shitty foods.
                >This is what causes elevated blood sugar, aka diabetes.
No, that's not at all what causes diabetes. Diabetes is caused by chronic elevated blood glucose, which is caused by shitty eating and a sedentary lifestyle (I already discussed this).

            Anonymous

The only argument I've ever heard in favor of cooking meat helping our brain grow is the increased bioavailability of protein. If you look into it, the increase is modest, and the theory doesn't hold up. We don't get our energy from protein; we get it from carbs and fat. Once you hit the threshold of protein intake for optimal muscle growth and maintenance, any extra is pretty much biologically useless. You can get plenty of protein from raw meat, so cooking is superfluous. And your brain is 60% fat. And your nervous system is coated in myelin sheath (also mostly fat) in order to facilitate electric impulses. Fat is king, and it is prized by hunter gatherer societies for a reason.

The body automatically responds to diets with a stress response because the digestive system thinks something bad happened, so that signal is transferred to the whole body until it starts eating fat, which is basically a huge shift in its normal operation.

No matter what the diet is, you'll look aged by doing it.

But this may be one of the only diets that the body doesn't respond to with stress because it perceives an increase in meat consumption as living in prosperity

This is high IQ but anons here are too retarded and indoctrinated to get it. Among the healthiest centenarians, what really makes a difference isn't their diet, obviously they eat organic food but they also indulge in cigs/cigares, coffee, sugar, and other things. It's about having the same diet for a long time to let your body get used to it, and to never change it. The more it's used to it the better. Sudden change in diet is one of the worst thing you can do as you age, unless your diet was complete garbage in the first place.

I alternate between meat and dairy every day, and eggs also almost every day. Liver once every few weeks. I also eat fruits, honey and fruit juices. I drink coffee with sugar as well. I'm not keto, not carni and not vegan, I just read Ray Peat and started experimenting after trying many diets.

                >paleo
                >carnivore
And my conclusion was that the diet that works best for me is mixed:
                >meat: beef/chicken/eggs/liver/sardines/salmon
                >dairy: milk/yogurt/butter/kefir
                >fruit: misc, mostly citrus and berries
                >veggies: kimchi, steamed carrots
                >misc: white rice, sweet potatoes
That's 90% of my diet on any given day.

                based experimenter. I did:
                3 months on gomad-like diet
2 years on high carb high protein low fat
                1 year on keto
2 months on fish + greens only (lol)
                1 month vegan
3 years mostly veggies + meat once a week

                My conclusions are:
                - dairy sucks
                - bread / pasta is shit tier food. Rice and potatoes are better but shouldn't be too much of your calorie intake
                - fruit is alright to use to improve taste of shakes or porridge but veggies are better
                - meat is great but it's full of cancer from our environment like heavy metals, pharma crap, hormones and pesticides from shit animal feed
                - veggies are god tier but be careful with pesticides
                - pea / rice protein powder is decent, I thought it would be way worse than whey for muscle buildings but I've noticed no difference and there are ~6 studies showing that there's little difference in muscle growth even though the amino acid profiles are not the same
                - you HAVE to use supplements on a mostly vegan diet. I eat some meat but still noticed a huge difference when I started taking D3 / zinc / B group supps

most importantly don't go for a diet that you hate. You'll find ways to cheat and lie to yourself and won't get results

where tf does this meme come from? fructose is superior to glucose bc it doesnt cause nearly much of an insulin spike and it raises the metabolic rate
in the cell, fructose is processed exactly the same way as glucose it just skips the first couple steps of glycolysis
glucose gets converted into fructose anyway when it goes through glycolysis

He's still eating too much organ meat (iron), his hemocrit is sky high and he put out a video a couple weeks trying to coping how giving blood to lower it is totally fine and natural.

Now that he's moved away from strict carnivore I think his diet is pretty reasonable though. Fruit and honey purely as carb sources are a little shittier for performance compared to starches like rice because they metabolize as liver glycogen over muscle glycogen. But for just living day to day and being healthy, yeah I'm pretty sure a minimalistic dirt of organic meats and fruit is better than 99% of the general population's diet.

The reason he needed to move away from strict carnivore in the first place was because he would not let go of the liver (because he shills for organ supplements). If simple cut out the liver, he would have been absolutely fine, just like every other carnivore that eats a muscle meat only diet.

Yep, if you don't eat carbs in a while, body gets rid of stored insulin since you don't seem to be needing it anymore. Once you eat carbs again, it takes a while to process the glucose, which is why glucose tolerance tests show bad results. But if you just keep eating carbs for a short while and test again, results normalize. Fat making you diabetic is just another vegan myth

      >1. How do i adapt to no carb-high fat without dying? Im peating atm
Slowly over about 6-8 weeks. Gradually reduce your carbs over that time.
      >2. How do i have the energy to train without white rice
With glycogen. The only difference is the rate at which it replenishes which is not relevant unless you intend to run long distances.
      >3. will i go bald?

          >i eat tons of carbs, like 8 slices of bread per day and 200g oats. should i start adding steak in or no?
Beef should eventually become your primary source of nutrition.
          >what if i want to build muscle tho
During your adaptive phase, I would expect strength and stamina to go down. I personally am gaining muscle. Since going full carnivore and starting the gym back in December, all my lifts have gone from novice to proficient. I will add that I have been high fat diet for a decade, just not keto/carnivore, so I will have been quite fat-adapted
          >Also is coffee allowed in carni?
          to begin with.
I drink coffee, but ideally I shouldn't and neither should you.

Do you mean carnivore or 'animal-based'? Even sv3rige eats animal based with fruits, juices, etc. Frank Tufano and of course Saladino both also eventually reintroduced plenty of carbs. Carnivore is just an elimination diet, is there an actual reason to try it in your case?

Specifically muscle meat with its fat plus any additional fat as required as the primary source of nutrition. No organs. Eggs are generally good. You could eat dairy if doesn't affect you. Some do, some don't. But mostly it is muscle meat and the fat of large ruminant animals.
