I think Dave Tate said it best. Something along the lines of if you're a big guy (muscular) and walk into a room you have everybody's attention. What comes out of your mouth is how people will judge you.

In my friend group, I went from being known as the skinny super-nerd to the dumb muscle jock once I started building muscle and going to the gym consistently. So anecdotally, yes, it can happen. You just have to not give a shit.
