I don't usually work up a sweat during chest/back day or arm day but I do on leg day. So I usually wash them after leg day.

pants get worn all week if just weights, tanktops are a solid 3x weights then wash, t shirts maybe 2x weights
t-shirts go into the washing machine after 1 workout non-negotiable, tank tops can last a bit longer it depends on the temperature, humidity, if you did cardio etc. usually a sniff test is pretty solid just dont lie to yourself. if it doesnt smell fresh, its not fresh.
shorts and pants get washed whenever i have piled enough workout clothes and im gonna run the washing machine so might just as well throw them in.

I soak my gym clothes and knee/elbow sleeves in a bucket with a half cup of white vinegar straight after for about half an hour or so then hang it up to dry. fully gets rid of the smell.
