Do you end up soaked in sweat after a hard session?

Do you end up soaked in sweat after a hard session?
I notice no one else really lets themselves get drenched in sweat but after pushing myself I'll be. Are some people not pushing themselves at commercial gyms?
I know sweat = effort is not exactly true and some people don't sweat at all.

I always end up drenched in sweat but that's because i'm furiously jerking off to the yoga chicks so idk if that impacts much.
I don't lift by the way.

Yes and it sucks. Thank God I work out at home because I'd be leaving a raindrop trail of sweat everywhere in a gym and puddles on the actual equipment. It's to the point where I put rubbing alcohol on my hands to dry them out because they get too sweaty to grip otherwise

Only time I sweat heavy like that is if it's really humid or I'm doing something that is heavy on cardio. Otherwise I just get sticky sweat that isn't dripping everywhere.

If you're sweating, you're doing cardio

Lifting extremely heavy weights would never make you sweat?

if I just show up and start doing my upper body workout, I barely swear at all. If I show up and do 5 minutes on the elliptical and then 5x5 squats, I’m already starting to sweat a lot, and then I’m drenched by the end of that same upper body workout.

This is why I can't wait for winter. I work out in a warehouse gym and when it's cold I end up emitting heaps of steam when I get all sweaty lmao

I sweat like a hose when I do cardio but lifting doesn't do it a lot for me. Heavy legs makes me sweat more than anything else upper doesn't do a lot no matter how hard I slam arms or whatever. obviously I need to shower after gym but I don't get dripping forehead tier sweat from upper body pretty much ever

When I was fatter and newer to lifting I would be absolutely covered in sweat but it just stopped happening around year 3 of lifting. However because I hate(d) cardio im still not conditioned to it so I still sweat like a lot when running which im now forcing myself to do on weekends

The moment I lift something heavier than my dick I start sweating a lot. Just doing mobility work makes me sweaty. Hate this shit.

It very much depends on the temperature and type of exercise. I work out at home and if it's above say 22°C and I'm doing compounds I will get absolutely drenched and drip sweat from my head to the floor. If it's below that I could be doing isolations to failure all day and literally not break a sweat

Saw once in this documentary following an ex-pro boxer making a comeback his coach saying "he's sweating a lot now but that's cause he hasn't trained regularly in a long while, he has a lot of toxins to eliminate".
Does that mean excessive sweating is a sign of poor conditionning or poor diet?
I sweat like a fricking pig whenever I do exercise and my cardio is not that fricked up BTW.

Might be some truth to that but I personally doubt its the sole cause. I've always sweat a lot from physical activity since childhood and I was very active as a kid, never ever fat or even close. Was not allowed eating snacks and drinking soda as a kid at home. My diet has changed a lot since childhood too.
Least amount of strain like carrying groceries gets me heated fast today and I'm almost always soaked after a gym session.

There's a lot of moronation and bro science in boxing training because it's an old school sport that has limited institutional support (there are no D1 college boxing teams etc). The coach was probably just repeating some shit he heard in the 1950s or something.

I found that when I am in bad condition and I have eaten lots of garbage food lately and also am dehydrated my sweat is thick and stinky and I also start sweating more easily. Probably more to do with hydration and being out of shape

Ngl my gym is air conditioned so the only time I am drenched in sweat is when I warmup/cooldown and do some cardio
During lifting, I don't think I sweat much at all

I do, but I come from an athletic background, played competitive sports in high school, our coach was a wicked son of a b***h that thought we were in the marines, so the whole "if you don't put everything in you're just fricking around wasting your time" philosophy comes to play every time I work out. also to lots of sprinting drills, my pants always turn white from the salt from the sweat.

I sweat like crazy. I also play sports at a high level but am retired. What I noticed among teammates over my career is that it really varies from person to person. Some guys just sweat like crazy. Like the instant they start working out, they sweat. The first to sweat usually sweats a lot more than everyone else. I don’t think it’s an indication of fitness. I played hitter and opposite in volleyball and some dudes in the hitting lines would be drenched and others would be fine until we got further into a session. The sweatier ones tended to hit the ball better but it’s not a huge sample size and is anecdotal obviously. I was the sweatiest. I will say now that I am out of the game and play only s few times a month, I sweat even more. So there’s that

If you aren't sweating you train like an absolute pussy and should just take up something more up your alley like knitting. I'm dead serious, you're not "fit" you're just a walking vegana.

It can be metabolism related. I sweat continuously if the temperature is over 27°C. I don't even have to move. On the other hand I usually still wear a T-shirt in November outside at around 5°C without giving a frick. It's better outdoor cause the air currents makes the sweat evaporate faster so I'm dryer and I sweat less. Wear polyester hiking t-shirts, or cotton + polyester.

      I am like that too

If I forget to bring my towel I can't train, I sweat that much.
